Meanwhile….Where is Ovie Ejaria?
Una hype this guy wella that time
I like how you qualified your question with the diction,TIME.

As you probably Noticed I haven't talked about these boys for several years. In my opinion they are not doing enough in club and league.

When I say these boys there are several of them Tega Onomah ( no club) Oviemuno ( not sure) for example.

They just got complacent and lacked ambition to drive forward. Not sure if it's too much money too early. For example Tega in his short career has earned near £8miiiom sounds. If he has invested he could be worth a lot more now.

Chuks Aneke way too.imjuru prone couldn't progress or play just 12 consecutive games without getting injured.

You get problem sha... The announcement of Lookman's switch was done on which date?
I responded to your comments, let me quote you verbatim;

Ademola Lookman announced his nationality switch from England to Nigeria on the 11th of February 2022, he'll be celebrating his two (2) years

Look at what you have presented read it and ask yourself, if you have a problem ❓

What a time it is
Your wrong .

Actually Ademola tried to play for the U17 Eaglets him alongside Oviemuno Ejaria. Both were not selected somehow.

It took less than 6 weeks for Zaha to get clearance from FIFA to play for CIV.

If you plan not to start Iwobi then you should start Iheanacho on the right.

The moment the other side realizes that there will be no one to deliver those sleek passes to the forwards then they will throw everything at the team and if they're lucky, they will overwhelm the defense and get a goal, then bringing Iwobi at such time may be too late.
KC cannot play Wing,he is not fast enough and doesn't have the skill and technicality required.

At this stage, I have to give a big shout-out to Marjoribanks. He's one of the few here who voiced his relentless and persistent support for the Super Eagles before the Afcon.

I may not like some of his opinions, especially when it comes to Nwakali, but his unceasing attitude didn't go unnoticed.

I hope Musa makes a cameo appearance tomorrow. He should be the one lifting the trophy, like Yobo did in 2013.
You get into the team by MERIT not SENTIMENT.

I would really love to see Samuel Omorodion in the Super Eagles. That kid is just 19 and he has 9 goals for Alaves on loan from Athletico Madrid. Spain don’t really have strikers so I know it will be very difficult to convince him.
Is he better than Elijah Adebayo , 9 goals in the EPL and counting I expect 2 goals in the next 30 minutes.

So it will be 11 goals and counting.

Do we risk playing a midfield trident of Iwobi Onyeka and Alhassan with Iwobi at the tip? Or run the risk of serving them the usual menu cos all na risk at this stage
We dont need two water 💦 carriers and certain not a light weight one that will run out of steam 🚂 so quickly.

You want a midfield with one creatine player in Iwobi, against CIV you need creativity and athletic ability with physicality that completely rules out Alhassan.

Onyeka is all athletic physicality non stop running defenive wall blocks and interceptions but no creativity
and he can't score to save his life.

Midfield has to remain same as against SA

Essentially same team as against SA

Someone is suggesting Omeruo, he is too slow and will get roasted by CIV forwards.

He runs around lots of energy for a limited period he gases in it quickly. But zero physicality,no outstanding skill and or technicality and not great football ⚽ intelligence.

So because he scored against Newcastle and B.Dortmund in Champion's league he is better.

That being the vase we should draft all the players of Nigerian origin playing at then league one , Sheffield Wednesday into the SE because they beat Newcastle united in the FA cup. There were 5 Nigerian origin players that day in the line up.

Liverpool are interested in Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo.

Adarabioyo comes off contract at Fulham this summer and is viewed by Liverpool, says the London Evening Standard, as a replacement for Joel Matip.

Matip will be allowed to come off contract by Liverpool at the end of the season.

However, Fulham are refusing to give up on keeping hold of their defender.

The Cottagers intend to soon restart negotiations with Adarabioyo's camp this month
Why are so many clubs interested in Tosin .

It was here that people said Omeruo is better than him.

Remember how raggedy our midfield used to be with Onazi and Ndidi. You can't play two rugged midfielders. The energy no go jell.

What we should be looking for in our midfield is creativity or efficiency. For gidigbo we already have Ndidi, Onyeka, Frank and Onyedika.
The modern DM ot holding player has the ability to switch from defence to attack create options and even score.

This is what made Ngole Kante the best although he added a phenomenal work rate to complement his skill speed strength and football ⚽ intelligence.

Of course, they compliment each other. Bassey has been immense. The reason why I value Zaidu is that whenever he's not there, Ola Aina is drafted to play as a LWB and though he plays well there, his premium effort comes when he plays on the right
Agreed

But Aina sub premium effort isilrs ahead of Zaidu best effort irrespective of the fact Aina is not naturally left footed.

Look at tj number of crosses, defence splitting passes, that Aina put through at least 4/5 quality crosses to VO , which he did not convert.

Add to that his long throw in ability,it's like having a corner kick.

Aina is way more skilful possibly even stronger 💪🏿 and finally COMPOSURE, Zaidu buss none.

Aina was once condemned, maligned on this same board, today he is one of our dearest. When Nwabali was invited to be our No. 1 for this tourney, JPes was roasted like Antelope, garnished with Cameroon Pepper then served with Ghana Jollof, today same Nwabali is our Hero.

What about Chukwuemeka? Looks like someone destined for great things if he can stay injury free.

In the short term who do you reckon should join the team to provide midfield control after the AFCON? I understand people's criticism of Iwobi but he is not built to be a midfield conductor. Isn't there an unknown guy we can try with an Oliseh/Mikel/Oruma or even Obodo kind of profile?
Do you mean Chukwuemeka Carney❓

The NFF should have a get them young strategy before they blow. There should be in partnership with clubs big sports manufacturing companies like Adidas.

For instance with Adidas they have a balance score card and appraisal methodology for any player over 12 playing in Europe. That dossier is updated with a players development progression, physical development, etc.

A classic example is Jude Bellingham was already sponsored by Adidas at age 13. Even clubs have their dossiers, I was in Spain at a tournament. Where I met some coaches from Borrusia Dortmund and they were telling me about the players from age 13 in England they already have performances dossiers on.

Is that too much for the very professional, well organised, transparent and filled with unquestionable integrity NFF to do ⁉️

It would be an exercise in over elaboration for me to begin to call Nigerian players with promise from age 14 in EPL academies as well asin the top European leagues.. They are too many and it's somewhat too early for the majority of them to put accolades on them.

In addition sometimes it just does not work out for multi faceted reasons.

What is there motivation is it self interest or national interest ❓❓⁉️

The number of Nigerian origin players who are doing great things in top academies is too many to mention.

Then those knocking on the first team door are plenty too.And those who are already playing in the EPL and Championship are considerable.

The operative word should be midfielders.

What happened to Etebo ❓l had very high expectations for him , he is only 28. In 2018 world 🌎 cup he was arguably our best player.

He went to Stoke in the Championship 🏆 and did ok although not consistently outstanding. And then was in Watford (EPL) Didn't make much impact and he has ended up in the Greek League with Ekong.

Zaidu has been proven to be outdated and expired.

Aina a much better option, with composure, delivery, end product how many pin point crosses did Aina give yesterday in my opinion at least 4/5 and then defence splitting passes, plus defending and releasing ball to feet 🐾. Not just kicking it to row z.

Add to that his ball throwing it's almost like having a corner.

Aina could probably play midfield better than our midfielders that's how good he is .

Aswear I don’t wish him well. Others no pain me one bit, but that ingrate called Eze can go to hell.
It seems you have been eating strong bitter 🌿 leaf soup with stale fish 🐠 again.

Eze was invited when he was 17/18 already playing for QPR then ABANDONED and FORGOTTEN for players like Nwakali brothers and others doing nothing by the NFF.

The NFF put him into the forgotten drawer for over two years then when he had blown up ,we finally remembered him.

Usofia say " Remember me, when I'm poor"

Then England started looking his way, the rest is history. We had a chance to get Tomori when he was getting ready to blow when he was in the Championship with Derby but we did not. We preferred Awaziem and Omeruo.

Iwobi had not played one single game for Arsenal first team in the premier League. Before he was called to the SE first team.

So the problem is not the players but the NFF and broken promises and lack of integrity.

Dominic Solanke can still switch and play for Nigeria though, so if genuinely he wants to play for us now, why not?!
When I spoke with him quite a few years ago when he was at Liverpool he had zero interest and zero affinity for anything Nigerian.

In addition l am not overly convinced, he has done exceptionally well this season in the EPL, in a low performing team like Bournemouth. He needs CONSISTENCY I want to see if he can maintain the trajectory next season.

On the other hand we have Adebayo who has 9 goals playing for a struggling Luton Town. I remember a gangly Adebayo when he was at Fulham at 16 he was already 6"3. He was more about skill then than a big number 9.

The question would be are they better than KC, Moffi, Awoniyi and Onuachu.
