Amedino99:Because it's his most recent and relevant experience that is pertinent to this current discussion. |
chrisooblog:Your clearly haven't watched and or listened to the complaints Lukaku made concerning Tuchel. Lukaku has been consistently oustanding since he was 16. He has done it everwhere he has gone. He is absolutely a world class striker. The season preceding Tuchel arrival Tega was Chelsea top goal scorer with 15 goals. He was dropped without any chance to compete , given barely any game time. Nonetheless, he Tega Abraham still had the highest number of goals from open play. Tega has not had good season but last season he scored 17 goals in his first season in Seria A That's a precedence that your cannot ignore , does a leopard change it's spots.❓ |
chrisooblog:When Tuchel was at Chelsea and when he eventually made a complete hash of things, he did not play with a traditional number 9. There was more of an interrelationship, with the front three interchanging positions and acting as inverted wingers. He placed greater emphasis on Ziyech, Werner and Havertz. It didn't make sense to me. He promptly benched the previous season top goal scorer Tega Abraham of which after playing the barest of minimum minutes was still the clubs top goal scorer from open play. But what was even more disturbing was how he treated a proven tested world class striker in the name of Lukaku. His treatment of Lukaku was shambolic and Lukaku openly disagreed with Tuchel. Tuchel preferred to play Kai as a false number 9 instead of playing Lukaku. Now consider Tega and Lukaku big strong fast strikers, albeit Tega the more technical of the two. See how Tuchel rubbished them. V.O. has more similarities with Lukaku and Tega than differences. It's in this light I would not advise V.O. to go to Bayern. It may all turn into sour grapes in a very short time. If V.O. was going to Borussiay Dortmund that would be a much better fit in my opinion for VO. |
hatakekakashi:How will V.O. cope in a team where he will not be the focus of attention and the proverbial "Star Boy". He will not be guaranteed a starting position and he will be contending with players who are just as fast if not faster and who are more technically astute as well as versatile.❓Sane and Mane come to mind as well as Gnabry, to mention a few. My view is V.O. needs a team where he will be the star boy and where he can use his exceptional skill set as the focal point of the team. I'm not sure how is temperament will cope with not being the MAN . |
Danielnino00:Carney Chukwuma is actually a Midfielder , it seems you didn't know that. He is only 19, he was denied game time at Villa when he refused to renew his contract . He is now at Chelsea with multiple top level players, he only going to get little game time. Thats the reality of being at Chelsea. What was the hell I rained on V.O. I gave objective constructive advice which he essentially followed to the letter. As if I had spoken to him one on one. Stop telling infantile lies to suit your false narrative. Hr didn't show any promise at Wolfsburg another lie, the best thing he did was to leave. The unit of measurement is always league Goals 🥅 not cup games goals with low level opposition. That gives a skewed view of a players competencies. How many league goals has he scored in La Liga over 5 seasons, that is the more apt assessment. |
Marjoribanks:That will be a very good move for him. That is six teams you have mentioned, it's like throwing your net into the sea ⛵ and saying . Mark my words ,I will get either, Tilapia/Crocker/Mackerel /Catfish /Wahoo/ Sardinella. It's essentially arrant speculative nonsense, the ramblings of an over imaginative mind. |
gatecrash123:No I do not, please educate me Teacher FIFA |
Danielnino00:How many Many La Liga goals is the pertinent assessment ❓ Carney Chukwuma was an outstanding youth player that Liverpool missed the opportunity to buy. He was and continues to be exceptionally oustanding. Why did B. Dortmund pay £25 million for a 16 year old Jude Billingham playing in the Championship for Birmingham ❓ Mudryk was over valued at £62 million, nonetheless Chelsea are used to making big gaffs with players. Timo Werner, a classic example as well as quite a few others. He has been far from impressive looks like another wasted expenses. Your inference that , " those are decent stats " is probably true. However, they are far from exceptional and certainly don't equate to a €100 million transfer valuation fee. A few years ago we had this chaotic brouhaha about Chukwueze, he is much better than Saka, Sancho, Vinicius, etc. It all ended with nothing. Arnaut left Championship from Bournemouth AFC to Villarreal as a winger for a mere €25 million and scored 10 goals that season from 23 hames. And Chukwueze scored 3 from 27 games. So by comparison it means even in his team he was not the stand out performer. He had a great oustanding performance against Real it's got him in the front shop window. It creates expectations, the next few games are pivotal for him to replicate similar performances. If not it becomes a " flash in the pan ' |
M7even:Do you think that he has been consistently oustanding in La Liga over the past 5 seasons❓ And Madrid have not put a substantive bid for him yet, whether they do or not , doesn't make him a consistent oustanding performer in La Liga. They may indeed think they can make him one, only time will tell. |
Marjoribanks:Hate is a loathing , intense dislike it's often irrational. The summary of his 5 seasons in La Liga amount to exceptional outstanding continuous and top end performances accord to you. Last season scored 3 goals, season before that 4 goals, and the season before that 3 goals. He scores 6 goals this season so far it's very good. But it is not exceptional to warrant a €100 million transfer fee. Saying the obvious amounts to hate according to you . |
Marjoribanks:Where Liverpool were concerned they were NEVER going to buy him , looking at a player and putting in a substantive bid are too totally different things. |
Folarin can't get into the Arsenal team. He has gone to French league one and is killing it by all standards, consistently outstanding performances. Folarin has scored 18 goals , funnily his former team mate Lacazette from Arsenal has also scored 18 goals both from 29 games. V.O. was sold for €70 millions after 13 goals in the French league to Napoli. However, Arsenal have put a minimum of £26 million, I suspect it will be much more than that in the end. But Chukwueze has a €100 million transfer fee by Villarreal, but hasn't been outstanding enough to get that kind of transfer fee. You can see by comparison how realistic Arsenal are being, by implication letting the demand for the player set the valuation. Unlike Villarreal who are over valuing Thier player Chukwueze with unrealistic demands.
|
charlesemeka85:I have heard this story before, Liverpool and Manchester United, etc. Real have seen him for the past 5 season in La Liga, it's only now they have noticed him 🤔 I remember Ismaila Sarr scored two goals against Liverpool, he is playing in the Championship and he is not finding it easy . |
Marjoribanks:It's inconsistently consistent for the stupendous valuation and demand that Villarreal has put on him. How do you determine consistency it's outstanding continuous performance over a period of time. It's not occasional flash in the pan brilliant performances. Chukwueze has been at Villarreal in La Liga for 5 seasons, last season he scored 3 goals the season before that 4 goals and the season before that 3. That's essentially average but with an over valued transfer by fee. Another Nigerian born player left the Championship in 2021 as a winger comes to Villarreal and scores 10 goals in 23 games. Now on loan from VillaReal heating up the bench in Tottenham. He cost £21 million. And VillaReal want clubs to pay £100 million, l think they are dreaming. Chukwueze is not among the to 20 best Winger's in the world far from it. Not too long ago a few contributors here were saying he is better than Saka and Sancho. You need to be realistic. |
charlesemeka85:Chukwueze is consistently inconsistent. His valuation by Villarreal is highly over valued. He had a great game against Real Madrid but that's the problem unable to CONSISTENTLY perform at a high level. |
Marjoribanks:Is that your dream ❓ |
elyte89:A player has to be wanted by a club he doesn't decide where he wants to go. |
Danielnino00:That's how you have read it to suit your own self birthed narrative. What do you think would happen if the EPL league 2 teams played in the Segunda division ❓ Taking into cognisance that no EPL league 2 team has beaten a Championship side and it league one side .Thats not 1+1 arithmetic as you put it. But objective appraisal from facts continuous present that have remained constant. I could use other variables like player values, Quality of players and Finances. But I haven't just yet . |
comodo:First of all tell me the players I said were good quality in the Segunda division ❓I've never rated any so far. I reiterate football players statistics are indicative not conclusive, other variables are taken into consideration before best and better are conclusively agreed upon. A very good indicator is the amount of interest a player generates during the transfer windows, Nwakali generates none. He is still earning peanuts in football terms. Let me give some clarity about the quality of the Segundo division. The first six teams have some level of quality but after that it's all downhill from there ,the league is very poor. l didn't look at individual players. Nonetheless, when a league has low quality , the statistics have to be seen in that context of poor quality. In this regard top strikers in the French league will struggle to replicate there goal tally in the EPL, no matter how good they are. Different Quality and requirements in the league. Consider Timo Werner 28 goals in 34 Bundisliga matches 6 goals in 35 EPL matches for Chelsea. The intensity and physicality of the EPL far exceeds the Bundisliga. You have to see statistics in context as indicators not conclusive and as all encompassing, conclusive. To get a balanced ⚖️ and objective appraisal of a player. |
mostob:The continuous consistent non stop over hype given to a player who has done nothing in 8 years is diminishing the value of the thread. Not just the delusional misguided and contributors presenting misinformation and disinformation to support a false narrative. Finally when was the last time I mentioned Fred Onyedinma and Tega Onomah ❓over 4 seasons ago. Once a player doesn't perform within a reasonable period one season or two. You forget him and look forward to those who are . However, in the hear and now both players are far better than Nwakali. They play in a far superior league and one of them earns 10x more than Nwakali. Luton Town is 4th in the Championship table with a small chance of getting into the EPL in my opinion. Middlesbrough are better but Burnley and Sheffield United will get the automatic promotions. A few newspapers clips about them , both of thier teams would destroy not just beat Ponferradina comprehensively. Nwakali will not get into any team in the Championship and will struggle for English league one. I don't talk about them because I don't think they have done enough to justify a call to the SE. Nonetheless ,they are both considerably better than Nwakali, without any doubt. So do you think 🤔 I've done a disservice to them by not talking about them for 4 years.❓❓
|
comodo:Dont know if Nwakali was actually 18 at the time, but it's irrelevant. Where you come from doesn't determine your destination, Ikpeba (Prince of Monaco) , Mikel Obi, Yobo, Seyi Olfisinjana, Jjay, Kanu, Oruma, and more recently K.C., Ndidi, VO, Chukwueze, Dennis, Onyeka, Awoniyi all came from Russia and were born with a silver spoon 🥄 in their mouths. Truth remains I said AT THAT TIME V.O. will not get into any EPL academy, he was tactically naive, technically inept. I said he needs to stoop to conquer. That is drop to a lower league, reinvent himself, take time to learn appreciate develop and progress. He then went to Belgium, from there to Lille the rest is history. GET YOUR FACTS right stop telling lies and misrepresenting matter to suit your negative agenda. Nwakali has been in Europe for 8 years how long does it take to Learn, Appreciate , Re-educate, Develop even medical doctor 🏥 don't that long to graduate. |
Danielnino00:Good morning , Buongiorno. Your assertion gives greater credence to my position about the poor quality and competitive level of the Segundo division. So if Villa Real B is the reserve team and they struggled to beat Wolves U21 with a score of 2-1. The same Wolves sits at the bottom of EPL League 2 and were flogged 5-0 by Liverpool FC U21 as well as Everton 3-0 and quite a few other clubs. What in your non biased mind does that tell you about the quality of Villa Real B ( reserve team) and the league considering they sit mid table number 9.❓ Add to that context that no EPL league 2 team ( U21) can beat a Championship side and or league one team. Which view is anchored on objective appraisal and which on sentiment based preference and misrepresentation. ![]() |
comodo:Poor quality football player is a relative statement and must be taken in CONTEXT of comparison. I quote myself by substance, essentially after the first 6 teams in the Segunda division the rest players are poor quality. I reiterate by comparison, if Wolves U21 struggled to get beat 2-1 by Villa Real B. That is indicative of the quality of team and league. Meanwhile Villa Real are number 9 mid table way above Ponferradina. Does that not tell you something or your emotional bias and preference has blinded you . Wolves are at the bottom of the EPL league 2. Wolves got flogged by Liverpool FC U21 5-0. No EPL league 2 team can beat a Championship team. No EPL league 2 team can beat a English league one Team. Liverpool got beat by Accrington Stanley from League One, who are close to the bottom in the relegation zone. These are indicators of quality but comparison not just imaginative. Finally answer the questions I raised from your write up and stop being EVASIVE. Who are the players I called quality in the Segunda division and the players that Nwakali trumps please.❓❓ I have a bit of time to follow you up ,I'm in Italy not in England and yes for football ⚽. |
comodo:First of all dont anchor ⚓ your entire discourse on BLATANT IMAGINED LIES, with regards to VO. My posts are there for all to see, I'm tired of reposting posts of 4/5 years ago. More than anybody else I gave the most constructive advice which he essentially followed to the letter. Castigated, absolutely and still do, I think Sadiq is disappointing and not a good quality striker in the context of the SE, not good enough. He may play for Real Madrid my opinion remains. I haven't Changed. With regards to the bold, who decided that he is best in the very poor Segunda division. And whoever if they ever did it's not proven. If he was so good there would be a in plethora of clubs waiting to sign him in the January window gone past ,but NOT ONE CLUB. He is one of the lowest paid players in the Segunda division, why didn't he move since he is so good ❓❓❓ A perfunctory glance at the non academic convoluted statistical players rating, shows a different picture from yours.
|
comodo:If I make a statement it's not ⚓ anchored on sentiment and vague without any specifics. 1. Name the players I called quality in the Segunda please ❓l really do not recall any. 2. Has Nwakali trumped any Nigerian player and on what units of measurement ❓❓ |
comodo:After 4 years of consistent regression in the Segunda division he goes into deeper mediocrity. And found his level in bottom of the Segundo division Ponferradina is bankruptcy team in the relegation zone permanently. Villarreal B which is essentially the U21 team is in number 9 in the Segunda division. |
TheSuperNerd:He is small 🦐 cray fish in a murky puddle, making waves in the small puddle but it's MEDIOCRITY. 4 years in Segundo division and he is in consistent retrogression. Maybe next season he will be in India. |
2023 Generation adidas Cup Is a good cup to see emerging potential top Quality players. There is a U15 and U17 groupings , from a plethora of teams from Europe and the Americas. I think next year I will probably go to that tournament. Just watched the U14 premier League international tournament in Nottingham. Daniel will be happy Liverpool FC won it beating Fulham. Interesting in 2016 Saka was one of the oustanding players at that tournament, look at him today
|
Blueelf:Statistics are at best indicative particularly when taking in context. A quality Midfielder will and can make a defence splitting pass after dribbling past two players and deceptively causing defenders to change position. That pass gives the forward player an academic tap in for a goal. The 95% of the oustanding exceptional quality work was done by the midfielder, that led the the goal. However, statistics will record it as a pass. It doesn't tell us the quality and or ingenuity behind the pass. When you take the quality of the league into context we even have more questions. Making a good defence splitting of pass is a lot more difficult in the EPL and the La Liga for instance. However, that degree of difficulty is not captured by statistics. In this regards you could make 100 passes that are accurate because you are not playing against a high pressing team and or the players contending with you are lack intensity, anticipation and quality. The quality of the passes are not captured by statistics. You could even lob the ball long to an Onuachu type players surrounded by short defender's lacking physicality. That means 100% accuracy that's not because it's a quality pass but rather in the context of poor quality defence. Thats not captured by statistics. A defender can spend the whole match defending because they are a poor team. Those defenders will have high statistics for blocks, tackles, headed clearances. It doesn't mean oustanding quality defenders or team work. But the opposite, that deduction is not captured by statistics. Now let's see the CONTEXT of the Segundo division with a balanced ⚖️ quasi score card appraisal. It's important that some understanding of the quality of the league is known. Before assumptions are made . The first 6 teams of the Segundo have some quality but not oustanding IMO. The rest are poor quality, let me explain. Villarreal B is the youth team of Villa Real or essentially the U21 team they are number 9 in the Segunda division. They Villarreal B would be a direct comparison to any EPL U21 Academy side. It's important to not me that the age requirement has strict adherence. There will be players of 15 sometimes, most will be teenagers and a few senior players over 21 recovering from injury and or demoted. Villarreal B have played Ponferradina twice one draw and lost 2-1 after loosing a player to red card. Villa Real B played Wolves last year summer and beat them 2-1. Liverpool U21 played then and beat them 5-0. Wolves U21 sit at the bottom of the EPL league 2. I have said it repeatedly that absolutely no EPL league 2 team will beat a Championship team NO WAY NO HOW. That particular deduction is proven past and present. I went on to say that no EPL league 2 team will beat a league one team. At the time Liverpool were to play Accrington in league one, I said here before the game Liverpool will never win. I have watched Liverpool FC U21 as well as several other Academy team up close and personal. I also do this in Europe as well. So I don't rely on statistics but first hand appraisal, talking with coaches and even club football analysts. The vast majority of players in this league will not get into many EPL U21 Academy teams. That is the context of thr larger% of the Segundo division. It's not HATE to say that Nwakali is poor quality, the two academies he went to Arsenal and Porto rejected him , poor quality not good enough. So even if he is doing great in his relegation and bankruptcy facing team. It's not a sign of quality but MEDIOCRITY. He is not SE quality there are too many players doing way better. Without prejudice this Ponferradina team will struggle in the English National League 5th tier. A sign of quality is sometimes the amount of transfer interest a player generates, Nwakali only generates interest here nowhere else .
