It took about 2weeks before it wasreplaced.

I got mine directly frim epsolar, but I don't know how possible for you to get it from them but you can try.

If not, you need to pass through your suppliers,

I replaced with a MUST power MPPT and it worked well. not fixed on any installation as the customer is satisfied so far.

You can start by writing EP solar directly stating your challenge, let them know you are willing to ship back to China if they need you to.

I got impatient and did my load testing by isolating the system. It is indeed surface charge after all - though not entirely. Based on closed-circuit voltage monitoring under 150W of resistive load, it would appear that the SOC moved from 80% to 95% during the day - despite the CC's claim of "not charging". The duration of the low current charge (if indeed it was low) permitted current to reach the core of the plates (it spent 4 hours of full sunshine idling at "no charge" while the SOC and bank voltage kept rising; how I wish I had a shunt). I'm thinking the displayed VoC (which incidentally coincides with the voltage at which the batteries were being fed "0A" ) is actually some form of shunting occuring within the CC. More reports tomorrow.

By the way, I also spend countless hours on reviews but the incidence rate of what I just reported is so low, it's sheer bad luck that I'd have the issue. Something I did notice common to almost all the systems having this fault (including the Renogy ones) were the fact that they belonged to enthusiasts and were highly tuned. It seems imprecision makes for less stringent demands on the system (or gross overloading leading to a swift failure). Perhaps they were not designed to be as efficient as we hoped.

I'll tow the warranty/repair/replacement line though I'm sorely tempted to open it up and do a quick post mortem examination.

I think there is a batch of the iTracer 6415 that came with some factory issue. you can open the CC, there is no warranty seal on the screws. when you open look inside and confirm that the capacitors inside are intact. I had an issue like this and EPSOLAR asked me to fill an incident form which had provision for serial No and other infos.
the good thing is that the replaced it -NO QUESTIONS ASKED

speak to your supplier and see if they can contact the importer, then the chain of business would get to EPSOLAR and get a replacement for you.

Kudos to all the DIY team and the pros in the house. Stumbling on this thread late but i had to go through from pg 1 - 99, indeed an interesting workbook. I've got a week installation made up of 6 x 200watts solar panel (all connected in parallel) , Morningstar MPPT 60, 2 x 12v 200Ah (connected in series) to a 1.5kva Kevin Inverter, i need advice on the following observations from logged data from CC;

1. Maximum Instantaneous output solar power (input to CC) not exceeded 720watts

2. Output power from CC (to battery) always lower than input power to CC (from array)

3. At near peak Array current it's always greater than battery current

4. When CC transit to night i observe a -ve current flow

5. Is my battery depletion normal in the night mode for a 250wh load for approx 5hrs.

Find attached yesterday's logged data for reference.

Your erudite suggestion/advice/comment by all would b much appreciated.

First your configuration may not work very well because of your PV panel setup,
Your mppt CC can manage large voltage and also note that for an MPPT CC to work well you need higher voltage ,
Your CC input would always and saulposed to be higher than the output to battery(thts its job)

So I would suggest a reconfig of your panel, what's the VoC of each panel? You may do a 3x2 setup and you have about 100v going into your CC , your CC would step it down and the MPP would then work to get more yeild from the panels.

Working with higher voltage is better as you can use smaller cables and reduce cost and then as well make absolute use of the MPPT function of the CC you have.

250wh for about 5hrs should give about 1.25kwh and for a 4.8kwh bank, you shod be fine at full charge

Just came across ur thread. I hv a question similar to some other posts. My husband just installed a solar electricity generation setup but we are experiencing challenges. So far we have not been able to use it. Below are some of the details (mind you, I'm not a techie smiley).
3 280w solar panels(mono crystalline)
8mm cables
1.5kva inverter (pure sine wave)
2 12v 200ah batteries
24v 30a charge controller
Load is just TV, lights and fans.
The issue is dt the batteries charge extremely slowly such that if any load is put on d inverter it quickly discharges. The batteries also discharge even when no load is on d inverter. As such, my husband had to disconnect the solar setup because we were better off using the generator to charge the inverter.
We suspect there is something not quite right with the whole setup. Can you help identify it? Or kindly design the ideal setup for the items I listed above so we can try another installer.
I should also point out that we only allowed about 4 hrs of charge before loading the inverter.
It's all so frustrating because he has spent almost 400k on this project without success. Can you also suggest an experienced installer within Gbagada axis?

sure there is something wrong with the setup.

but basically, if your husband is tech person, he can identify it with some guide, if not, you still need some guys here to assist.

280*3=840watts- Not bad for a 24v, 200AH .

first things first,
-check your load,(this does not allow abuse and wastage of power)
-does your solar panels see enough sunlight everyday?
-whats the PV configuration or the way the solar panels are connected(3 in parallel or 3 in series)
-whats the Voltage output and current?
-what type of charge controller(PWM/MPPT? You may snap a pix and post)
-At what point does your system shut down? Battery voltage? whats the max battery voltage you have seen and time it takes before shutdown?(this will show if your batteries are in good shape).

kindly ask any question, other installers around your area can help though

first of all ur complaint is nt detailed enough, u need to state d type of benz ur driving, d year and all. secondly, u need to read well bout ur vehicle cos these our local technicians ar d worst things to happn to mankind. Back to ur complaint, is ur climate control blowing look warm or just out right cool outside air? Benz compressors are very strong, they hardly spoil atlist to my knowledge. Hence, i am 60pcent sure ur compressor is still good. It might be ur duo valves that are completely out, so u might need to clean them or change dem completely. Does it blow cold fr some seconds b4 it starts blow outside air? There are alot of factors dt may cause d lack of cold air frm ur vents but i will tell u d least of all is d compressor. On d issue of putting a 504 compressor i am guessing u are joking. Benz systems are intertwined, if u break the system, u might nver drive d car again if care is not taken.

it was blowing cold air on the passenger side, when i read on the internet forums suggests a system low on refrigerant,

I took it to the technician who also suggests a recharge but also stated he needs to add compressor oil. He flushed the system and filled in oil thru the same point with the R134a(Someone said this killed the Compressor).

during the recharge, and after the recharge, everything was working so well, the AC was back fully as usual but a day after, the AC refused working, blowing air , though when i put on the AC, there is this feel on the engine that the Compressor is engaged but no cold air.

Another Technician told me that adding oil was a bad decision and could have harmed the compressor, ALso checking the AC piping doesnt indicate is working well as it does not have the icy-cold feel when i use my finger to feel it .

I declined the construction he adviced and ordered for a compressor but not had it changed yet.

Please I need some input,

My Car Clmatronic , ceased cold air on drivers' side but was working on the passenger side well, after 2 days, all stopped-no cold air again.

I stopped by an AC tech shop and they said they need to add Compressor oil , they evacuated the system, added the oil and then recharged with R134a.
the car was working perfectly on Saturday as the refill was ongoing and as i left after the job but on Sunday, the AC couldn't blow cold air.

I took it back to the shop and they checked and said the system has sufficient gas(refrigerant ) but that the compressor has failed.

I was shocked , Next the man said that he will Use another compressor for Peugeot 507 to construct and i will use it for years .

I Queried why it must be that and not a direct fit as replacement, then he said that the new one in the market is china and wont work for more than 1 week and it will pack up again

Please has anyone had such issues and what was the solution?
