Ndlea Pumped Water Into My Anus – Baba Suwe Featured

It is a jungle out there.

Quote: While responding to the judge’s question, Omidina told the court that he was taken to a hospital that he could not identify on Wednesday, at about 9 am and remained there till 9 pm.
He said, “The day after I was granted bail (Wednesday), they just came at about 9 am and took me to a hospital in Victoria Island. When we got to the hospital, they put something in my mouth and another in my anus.
“They now pumped water into my anus. After they pumped water into my anus I started defecating.
“I defecated again several times on getting to their office.”

Nollywood actor, Babatunde Omidina a.k.a. Baba Suwe, said on Friday that the officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency “pumped water” into his anus, apparently in their bid to make him defecate the narcotic substances he allegedly ingested.

He told a Lagos High Court in Ikeja that he defecated several times after “the water was pumped” into him.

On  confirming from the NDLEA, represented by its Director of Prosecution and Legal Services, Mr. Femi Oloruntoba, that Omidina had not excreted any narcotic substance since Tuesday when he was granted bail, Justice Yetunde Idowu asked him to go home, having fulfilled the other conditions of the bail.

Idowu had ordered on Tuesday that the NDLEA should release Baba Suwe from its custody if by Friday, no banned substances were found in his excretion.

His lawyer, Mr. Bamidele Aturu, said Baba Suwe told him just before the court sitting that he had defected more than 25 times since his arrest on October 12.

Omidina stepped out of the court room at about 11.30 am to meet a large crowd, comprising his fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry.

He was immediately whisked away by some of his friends in a blue car, as the large cheering crowd surged forward to catch a glimpse of him.

Aturu earlier told the court that Baba Suwe’s N500,000 bail with one surety had been perfected.

The judge asked him to go home, urging him to take care of himself and “enjoy the sallah with your family.”

She, however, acceded to the NDLEA’s request that the actor be made to report at the agency’s office in Murtala Muhammed International Airport on Thursday for further investigation.

The judge granted the request with an undertaking from the NDLEA that Baba Suwe would not be held in the office for more than two hours.

While responding to the judge’s question, Omidina told the court that he was taken to a hospital that he could not identify on Wednesday, at about 9 am and remained there till 9 pm.

Oloruntoba said he was not aware of the development when asked by the judge.

But Baba Suwe was able to identify one of the operatives of the agency, who took him to the hospital. The NDLEA official confirmed that the actor was taken to the agency’s laboratory on Wednesday morning.

He said Omidina was taken to the agency’s hospital in Ikoyi, from where a doctor directed that he should be taken to their laboratory in Lekki.

He told the court that it was the doctor who was in a better position to give a report and the nature of examination performed on the actor.

Idowu said, “This is not proper. This is a human being and not a robot. I don’t feel comfortable with this. At least, the man deserves some respect regardless of the fact that he is in your custody.

“You are doing that kind of test without his consent and the knowledge of his counsel.”

The judge was also dissatisfied that there was no result given to the effect of the test.

Ileke, the way Lagos operates those guys are probably not homeless. Some of those guys may own their own modest homes. We see them like this because they are on Okada, but bus & taxi drivers do this as well.

Their homes are probably far from where the Okada customers are - so they 'd rather endure the discomfort. A hard life nevertheless.

That's not to say there are no homeless people in Lagos - but look under the bridges, not in front of Dodan Baracks.

Fellow Nigerians, I have sat, thought and pondered over our current crop of leaders that are still alive and wondered who to recognize, and bestow the singular honour of being called the greatest living Nigerian but found no one worthy of it other than, Retired General Olusegun Aremu Okikiola Obasanjo. Crude and controversial his ways and idiosyncrasies might be to some; his patriotic love, vision, unity and the achievement of greater things for our beloved country Nigeria is unwavering.

Right, before anyone start posting insults and such unsavory words, I neither work for nor have any connections with the person of the retired general, just sheer observation of his achievements in trying to foster all that is good for the country and Africa, so far, till date, I believe qualify him as the greatest living Nigerian.

Hence, by INEC estimation the value of a Nigerian life is N0.655 million !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Written by Jacob Segun Olatunji, Abuja Friday, 04 November 2011

THE Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on Thursday, doled out N28.5 million to the families of 42 victims who lost their lives in the post-election violence in some parts of the northern Nigeria.

Each family received a sum of N655,000 and were presented with the cheques in Abuja, on Thursday, by the chairman of the commission, Professor Attahiru Jega.

The INEC boss, who commiserated with the families of the deceased, said the commission, in the process of preparations for the April 2011 elections, had to rely on ad hoc staff and thus recruited them from among the serving National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) members, as well as students of higher institutions

Great leaders don't germinate on empty ground, my friend.

Apart from that, and my disagreement with you on Aregbesola (I don't believe he has had enough time in Osun, but his general direction is good), we are largely on the same page here.

Depilot:
Just like you, I hate PDP more than anything else; all their governors are nothing but lowlife armed robbers, that need to be locked up for a very long time.
On the other hand, people like Tinubu, Aregbesola and many other ACN criminals are not too far from PDP. Both parties share the same backward qualities and it will be the beginning of a great thing in Nigeria as soon as citizens begin to realize this fact.

As far as I'm concerned it is sad and extremely pitiful for anyone of us in Nigeria to step up to show-off or to claim any party. What is on ground is pathetic enough for all of us to cover our faces.

Support great leaders and don't waste your time supporting any party, and Nigeria will be a better place faster.
PoliticsRe: "senator" Remi Tinubu's Election Annulled By Election Tribunal. Re-run Ordered! by koruji(m): 2:31am On Nov 02, 2011
Hey, don't call me stup1d now!!!!! But that is your stup1d opinion  cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

It should be clear that my support for any party is not absolute. However, you cannot deny that if we are going to get to a democracy that will work for Nigerians parties will have to provide the framework.

There is a reason why, despite people's claim of lack of internal democracy, ACN with only six states has a higher count of "good" governors than you can count out of PDP's 20-something states and after 16 years at the center. It boils down to my earlier statement: A party can destroy an individual no matter how good, but an individual would find it difficult to destroy a good party.

Not that I think any of them have done all that could be done to improve Nigeria - but in relative terms ACN governors are way-ahead of PDP.

At this point I believe ACN is a reasonable party. The day that assessment changes is the day I withdraw support - but I would not go to PDP unless an angel comes down and clears out its entire rotten structure.

Depilot:
I'm glad not to be stup1d enough to be a supporter of any party.
Nigeria remains my only party; ie, my patriotism remains for Nigeria and not for any substandard senseless political party in Nigeria.
I admire Fashola (ACN). Ajimobi (ACN) is another individual I'm starting to study. Amechi (PDP) is also trying his best.
But if you give me my way I will choke Tinubu (ACN) until his eye balls come out of the socket. I will drown Akala (PDP) until he drinks 2000 gallons of water and soak Gbenga Daniel (PDP) with petrol and set him on fire.

My point, we should never allow these criminals to continue to hide behind political party, while they steal more and to use us as they desire.
Vote for great leaders and never for any party, and Nigeria will be a better place faster.
PoliticsRe: "senator" Remi Tinubu's Election Annulled By Election Tribunal. Re-run Ordered! by koruji(m): 2:16am On Nov 02, 2011
This is one reason I support ACN still. I believe that rather than stubbornly hold on to what is glaringly not right (the way PDP does) the leadership would adjust to better match the people's wishes.

The rule of succession for any successful organization is for the best young hands to take over from older hands. Tinubu would do well for his legacy to prepare Fashola to take over his role, and Fashola would do well to clean his hands of anything that could be used against him. As there is light and day, PDP will come after him if he holds firm against them - that is essentially the reason they are after Tinubu; they really have nothing concrete against him.

Depilot:
2015 brings a clean slate for ACN and PDP governorship candidates.
Without any questions, Babatunde Fashola who happens to be one of the best governors around today still represents the key to ACN governorship election victory in Lagos state in 2015. Whoever he endorses may end up with the victory. And he decides not to endorse any candidate, the battle becomes even tougher for ACN party in Lagos state.
The sooner toothless Tinubu realizes this fact the better it will be for ACN in Lagos state.

LD Speculations
PDP is determined to capture Lagos state in 2015 @ all cost. The strategy may be designed for Tinubu to be in jail during the election. therefore, the longer Tinubu stretches his case the better it will be for PDP.

I hope the people of Lagos would know better. As I mentioned above making governance into a family affair is to be seriously discouraged.

Tinubu may be on the road to a silly God-Complex, and the confrontation with Dapo Etti is indeed a welcomed development.

Now, Dapo Etti, if the real reason he was contesting is to be on the side of the people of Lagos, needs to do everything in his power to win the election rather than give it to PDP - because he himself will live to regret it.

There is no basis in my opinion for anybody to go voting for PDP in any election.

Depilot:
@Kuroji:
Please understand that Dapo Etti who is creating all this wahala doesn't care if he wins or not. His goal is to make sure that Remi Tinubu (of Ogun state) doesn't represent Lagosians in Abuja.

FYI
Dapo Etti was one of very powerful ACN members in Lagos state up until Bola Tinubu pushed his wife into Lagosians' throat to contest for the 2011 Eti Osa senatorial election. Dapo met with Oga Tinubu 1 on 1 to discourage him from deceptively imposing his wife on Lagosians, but Oga Tinubu refused to listen.
Exactly 3 days after the meeting Dapo Etti publicly came out to announce that he was leaving ACN for Labour party, on that same day he also made it clear that he was contesting against Remi Tinubu (the idea was to get ACN votes divided into 2). I can assure you that Dapo Etti loyalist will not vote for Remi Tinubu; and once this happens, ACN votes will be divided into 2, which will automatically put PDP on top at the end of the day.

Again, Dapo Etti doesn't care if he wins or loss. His main goal is to see the end of Tinubu's exploitation of Lagos state, by first making sure that Remi Tinubu doesn't represent Lagosians in Abuja.

Without any questions, this is a good news for PDP in Lagos state.

Zamfara State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Alhaji Garba Gajam, has disclosed that a one-month-old baby was employed in one of the local government councils in the state and was said to possess  an Ordinary National Diploma (OND).

Speaking with newsmen immediately after the state Executive Council meeting held in the Government House chamber on Monday, the commissioner maintained that the state government was  disturbed at the level of corruption at the local government councils.

He further said that the state government did not stop the payment of salaries to local government workers as it was widely speculated but directed  the workers to open account with any of the banks.

He affirmed that the whole idea was to ensure accountability and to checkmate the activities of some Directors of Finance who had adopted many tricks to defraud the government of huge sums of money.

Alhaji Gajam, however, noted that the directive was misinterpreted by some mischief makers who did not wish the government well adding that in their effort to cover up their dirty deals, they committed serious blunders.

“For instance, we discovered that in one of the local government councils, a one-month-old baby was in the payroll. But the most disturbing aspect of our discovery was that the baby was said to possess an Ordinary National Diploma. This is the rot in our system,” he declared.

As part of efforts to improve the health condition of its people, the Kwara State government has invited a team of medical doctors from Apollo Hospitals, India.

The team of medical expatriates, which is being led by Dr Jithu Jose, arrived Ilorin last weekend and had since commenced operations at the Specialist Hospital, Sobi, Ilorin.

The state government is bankrolling the cost of medical treatment of the patients.

The major ailment which people are being treated for is body pain in all its ramifications, including back pain and rheumatism.

When the Nigerian Tribune visited Sobi Specialist Hospital on Tuesday, the patients seeking medical attention were about 150.

The Special Adviser to the State Government on Secondary Health Care, Dr Ibrahim Gambari, confirmed that the three-day progamme was at the instance of the state government.

He said the government used the initiative of inviting the doctors from India in order to provide succour to those patients who had received treatment in India and needed to go back there for routine check up.

Dr Gambari said the programme also offered opportunities for new patients with such ailments.

Deceivers would like you to believe the that the person matters more than the party. How is it then that PDP keeps finding the worst administrators to get into positions of power? It is because the basic framework of PDP is for corrupt people and do-no-gooders.

The party can destroy the person, but it is hard for an entire party to go bad due to the acts of one person. Hence, a Fashola within PDP would be consumed by the innately selfish and corrupt interests underlying the PDP agenda.

Go ahead and sell the snake-oil called PDP to the people of Lagos if you like, but if they know what's good for them they will avoid PDP like a plague - because that is what PDP has brought to Nigeria for the last 16 years.

This is what PDP did to states in the SW, and losing the SW has not changed how PDP behaves in other states under PDP's rule and at the center.

The entire point is that while Tinubu may be larger than life, ACN as a party is light-years ahead of PDP. ACN can make corrections, PDP was born ill-formed and cannot be made whole. It is PDP that needs to go down. PDP's strength is its corrupt foundation.

AD went down, not because it was not better than PDP but because of high-level deception.

(AFP) – 7 hours ago
KANO, Nigeria — Nigerian soldiers began a house-to-house search Tuesday for arms in the city of Maiduguri wracked by deadly attacks by a radical Islamist sect in recent months, the army and residents said.

The operation followed the expiration of an October 31 deadline for residents to submit arms in their possession to the JTF, a special military unit deployed to end the violence blamed on the Boko Haram sect in the northeastern city.

"We have started a house-to-house search for weapons in the city in the second phase of ridding the city of arms and stopping attacks," Joint Task Force spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Hassan Mohammed told AFP.

"Henceforth anybody found harbouring arms in his home will be taken for a criminal and sanctioned appropriately," he warned.

He urged residents with licenced arms to surrender them for inventory, and promised to return them later.

Resident Musa Danbaba said soldiers with guns and detectors combed the Gomari area of the city.

"They conducted a thorough search on my house using metal detectors and flash lights, and they did the same for all houses in the neighbourhood," he said.

Mohammed said Maiduguri residents have continued to surrender guns and even home-made bombs to designated collection centres despite the expiration of the deadline on Monday.

People who were reluctant to surrender their arms for fear of arrest, turned them in when soldiers began the search to avoid the arms being found in their homes, he said.

"Our aim is to mop up arms in the hands of residents and the amnesty covers whoever turns in arms in his possession even if he is Boko Haram," Mohammed said.

Borno State of which Maiduguri is the capital, borders Chad, Niger and Cameroun, and the city has been the epicentre of almost daily gun and bomb attacks by suspected sect members in recent months.

The sect also claimed responsibility for the August 26 bombing of UN headquarters in the capital Abuja that killed at least 24 people.

You are simply jumping around as usual. Laws are made so that both sides can be well protected, not just for the one who at that point might seem to be lacking in "power".

If I refuse to act according to the law then the police is protected if he takes lawful action. Similarly, when the police acts outside the law then I am protected when I follow my rights.

All the below are made-up-in-your head notions that have nothing to do with the law - that is why it is written down. You cannot make it up as you go along.
We have for too long put instruments of violence into the hands of people, without backing it up with law and responsibility for their actions.

I am sure you have seen the report about the boy that was recently gunned down in Bayelsa (of all places) by the police. You just jusfied that dastardly act!!! Reason: There is actually a law on the police books that said you could shoot someone if they refuse to stop if the police asked them to. Like you the police stopped there.

The only problem was the boy was so disgusted, probably having listened in Church to a sermon condemning such acts, that with Bible in hand he spoke up about their unlawful act of bribery in public view.

Question for your fascist noggin is: Were those police officers working under the law when they knowingly shot a young boy that was obviously unarmed because he condemned their unlawful bribe collection? Don't even border answering.

I guess you have never been outside your village. Go wherever and answer the police foolishly or unconvincingly, only to lay back in your cell to talk about your "rights," cos you think police and laws are out there to decorate the place.

The police have a duty to ask you where you are going and for what purpose and if you fail to convince them, they can warn you and turn you right back or simply throw you in the back of the van for further interrogation, maybe even just to keep you off the streets. IT IS THE SAME EVERYWHERE IN THE WIDE WORLD.
Only a jackass would think the police have no right to keep individuals from accessing a location, either for their safety, or the safety of others.

Think of being a policeman at a checkpoint, only to be besieged by 19 damn buses. You ask where they are going and they answer, "to sing aluta, sir!" Would you be fool enough to let them pass? Especially when a UN building has just been blown up? Even drunks are kept off the roads for goodness sake!

This whole thing is so foolish, its really incredible you are carrying it on. Don't you have any self pride? Your strands of argument are too foolish to carry on as an adult.

Blame your problems on somebody else, that is what you do best.

Who cares if you want ACN? All you need to know is concentrate on making your state better, and stop trying to re-introduce the cold hands of PDP to the SW. We have experienced it and it is not something to wish on one's enemy. You would think PDP has shown any stella performance anywhere under the sun for anybody to want that party. 16 years and counting at the center - zip, zero, nada, at the state level - most of which it controls - zip, zero, nada, at the local level - zip, zero, nada!!!

If Bayelsa has experience PDP for this long and doesn't realize that it is a dead-end, then goodluck to you all cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

Beaf:
Yeah, and people in far away Bayelsa somehow made up the same story too and burnt Tinubu's newspapers van. I'm getting convinced that you are as dence as a rock.
Dude, ACN has no place in the ND, we don't deal with bloodsuckers. After throwing off the yoke from the core-North, no other group is going to think they can walk into the place. Dem neva born dem. cool
I believe, that was the message being passed to both Sylva and Tinubu. If you like accept, you like don't, its your cup of tea.

Latter-day sympathy - not very useful now, after you hi-5ed cheesy cheesy cheesy

Beaf:
I don't recall commenting on the act, do you? If so, where? Lol!
I have simply said that ACN can have Sylva, since they are so in love with him. It is the percieved love affair that caused the van to be burnt which is a different and regretable story altogether.

Like I said destroying media property by burning or bombing it is "a gentle warning" in fascist eyes.

Beaf:
It seems they were just offering a gentle warning to the editors and owners of the Nation. Boys no de talk too much for dat side.
PoliticsRe: 'Attack On The Nation Newspaper’s Vehicle Was Aimed At Gov Sylva' by koruji(m): 3:33am On Nov 01, 2011
Your made up story about ACN and Sylva is just what it is, the political ploy of the politically deaf party (PDP).

Beaf:

You can wax lyrical about tangential matters that twang your emotions. It wouldn't change the fact that ACN is desperate to get their hands on Sylva; or do you have another story?

Don't you see your life? Which of the questions you posted (shown below) equate to "What are you going to do in Abuja"?

Did the police say they did not answer any of these questions? Let me help u if this is too difficult for you to grasp:

What are you doing: Duhhhhh,  We were on the bus, driving on the road, now we are standing still because you stopped us cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy
Where have you been: I have being to London to see the queen - Of what business is that to you. Okay, ok - I have been to Lokoja
Where are you going: Dude are you dumb? This road leads straight to Abuja
What are you carrying: Nothing. Help yourself and search thoroughly.

Besides I asked you for Nigerian Law, you are posting UK Law. Where is the Nigerian Law, Beaf?

The UK police law clearly states the questions you may be asked - just because rogue officers like this case. You are not obliged to answer any question beyond these.

In addition, note that the law also describes what being stopped means. The police officer is also supposed to issue you a receipt for talking to you, if you want.

What you are doing
■Where have you been
■Where you are going
■What you are carrying
Beaf:

You are not obliged to see reason with the law or apply your personal standards to police actions. The law is the law.

I said you talk very stup!dly.
People listening to the crap spewed by your likes on this thread would think the average Nigerian is a cretin or an irredeemable fool destined for the clay pot.
This is from the Met's website in the UK:

That is another fascist thinking. Militants just burned down a media property for absolutely nothing, and you are here supporting the act in the name of politics. Shame.

When miliants bombed GEJ's house everybody condemned it, ditto when they bombed the governors meetings. These are all condemnable act. It did not matter what their politics were.

Burn is a safe word to use in this instance, they migh as well have bombed it.

Watch the road you are going down. It is not leading in the right direction. You can't just condemn Boko Haram and comend Bayelsa Militants who engage in acts of terror.

Beaf:
Lol! ACN can have Sylva since they so desperately want him. The whispering of sweet nothings between both lovers has reached a crescendo. Rascals attract rascals.
