You read the first part of my comment, but not the others. All you mentioned below may be part of collecting evidence in this case.

But as I said, he might have a case against them for the bad publicity and any maltreatment.

At the minimum, a great comedy movie & stand-up at NDLEA expense should teach the latter to learn to do a proper job.

I don't think you can sue the government for a properly done arrest, even wrongful arrest, as long as no maltreatment was involved.

Perhaps there is something in the way the bad publicity has been conducted, if any agency of government can be held responsible for that, in addition to any maltreatment - I just don't think there is much there.

Where Baba Suwe will make his money is go around the country and make fun of the NDLEA for months and years - you know about how they were baby-sitting his loo. Make a movie as well. Huge dough there.

Yes, all Nigerians are truly proud of the job Fashola is doing.

It is sad that some people would try to separate Fashola's accomplishments from ACN and Tinubu's strenous efforts - imperfect & whatever else he may be Tinubu accomplished something no one else has done in Nigeria's dangerous political environment to date. He not only survived OBJ & PDP he took Lagos to a greater height.

This is what fools like Beaf do not realize. Tinubu & OBJ had the same decision to make in 2007 (the latter's decision was much more important as it affected 150 rather 15 million lifes directly). Let's see how they did:

1. OBJ first tried to keep on governing, contrary to the constitution. When that failed, he reached his hand out and hand-picked two of the most unqualified people to put inside Aso Rock. This is despite being surrounded by young, willing & able leaders like Okonjoiwealla, Bayo, Rufai and Ribadu, among others. We all know the rest of the story - we are stuck with the clueless second half of that pair for another 3 years.

2. Tinubu could have chosen a do-no-gooder that would answer to his every whim & caprices. No, instead he found perhaps the most able, young and dynamic person in Fashola and presented him to the people of Lagos State. Well, we know the rest of the story.

The likes of Beaf & Point B are on an official assignment from OBJ & "baby" OBJ to make Fashola fall by flattery and destroy the rest of ACN. They will fail woefully, and their efforts will continue to solidify the conviction that led the SW to vote massively for ACN.

The greatest problem that beset us as Africans is a terribly short memory for the good someone has done, and a rather unending memory for their errors.

The fact remains that but for Tinubu there would be no Fashola. It was Tinubu alone that stood against the might of OBJ & his evil PDP forces. All that is going on now is "baby" OBJ & his PDP cretins simply changing tactics by flattering Fashola to fall over, while condemning Tinubu.

It is not today that such evil forces have attacked Yoruba land by encouraging such treachery. This is exactly what they did between Awo and Akintola. Akintola thought he was taking his people into "mainstream" politics, but all he did was destroy not only himself in the process, but Awolowo and the policies and programs that would have transformed the SW light-years ahead of other regions. Even today, echos of that golden era remain.

I have said it over and over again, Fashola needs to keep his head on his shoulders and realize that any human that stand with the enemies of his people, no matter how brilliant he considers himself, is bound to fail at whatever he does.

It doesn't mean that Fashol and Tinubu should not disagree. They should, that is the essence of leadership as long as it is not an excuse for treachery.

Enough word for the wise.

Depilot:
For the last elections, Fashola's works were responsible for every ACN victory and nothing else.
If you ask any smart serious politician in Nigeria, they will let you know that Fashola is the body and soul of ACN.

Apart from stolen Lagos state money, Tinubu is nobody. And I think he's finally starting to realize it himself.
I will not be surprised if Fashola carries CPC flag for the next presidential election spot. I can assure you that he will not move over to PDP. PDP and ACN have a lot in common.

Fashola is not only a lawyer, but a SAN with integrity. And who is is Tinubu?
In a well developed and civilized country, people like Tinubu will be be applying for a facility manager position, may be for a super market and nothing else

I still feel very comfortable to predict that Fashola will eventually be Tinubu's down fall. It is going to get to a point when Tinubu will want to pull a red card against Fashola, the same way he did against Funso Williams, but this time around I predict that Tinubu will choke.

I guess you have changed your mind as usual - Rail lines do pass through Dagbolu and Osogbo afterall.

Only now Dagbolu is 15-20 km from Osogbo. Is that measuring from the governors office, powerline, steel rolling mill, Osun State University, Alekuwodo or where?

If you were not reading with jaded eyes, you would know that Aregbesola indeed spoke of NRC "REPAIRING" that particular station.

You came up with a map with no stopping points in Ibadan or Osogbo and went to town saying there were no rail lines there. When that was proved otherwise, you went on and on about Dagbolu being the one with no rail lines. Now that a google map actually includes Dagbolu on a rail line that goes all the way down south and up north, you have like a chameleon that you are decided it was last used in 1932.

A station and a rail line are two different things - get it?

Pray tell me which line was your dear leader GEJ was speaking about here:
Addressing a rally in Osogbo on March 3, in continuation of his presidential campaign, Mr Jonathan said the rail line between Lagos and Jebba will be completed and open for operation by the end of March.

"I have just received a report from the Chairman of the Nigeria Railway Corporation that by the end of this month, segment of railway between Lagos and Jebba would be completed and people will begin to board train from Osogbo," he said.

Mr Jonathan; the Vice President, Namadi Sambo; and Ogun State governor, Gbenga Daniel subsequently undertook a 98-km train journey on March 12 from Ebute-Meta Junction to Abeokuta to show the tracks were ready for operations.

Their train ride followed the commissioning of the new 25 locomotive engines procured by the NRC.

The Minister of Transport, Yussuff Suleman embarked on a test-run ride on the train from Ebute-Meta to Abeokuta in Ogun State on March11.

Mr Ndakotsu stated that the MTTS project had been replicated in Kano, Kaduna-Challawa, Jos and Maiduguri while a concrete sleeper had been established at Bodija, Ibadan.

"The cement freight train service for Lafarge Cement Company, Ewekoro; rehabilitation of the Lagos-Jebba rail line; refurbishment of coaches and wagons, workshops re-equipping and staff trainings had also been carried out," he said.
Beaf:
Poor thing.

Firstly, Dagbolu is about 10-15 kilometres from Osogbo, secondly that railway line was last used in 1932. Na only bush and rats de deh nowadays, maybe if you had looked carefully while walking, just maybe you would even have seen Mungo Park or Lord Lugard.

First, I don't think Jonathan has done such a good job for you to call him "the first person to introduce some semblance of civilisation". I have no idea what you are talking about, AND NEITHER DO YOU - glib propagandist talk, if you ask me.

On the point of discrediting GEJ, there are two points:
1) He's being doing a good job of discrediting himself - what with all the lopsided appointments, utterances, and now attempts to pull the fuel subsidy using a con-job.
2) He will be discredited by do-no-gooders unless he establish a firm channel of communication with the Nigerian people. You can't sit in Abuja like you are hiding away and then come out to complain about being discredited.

As for do-no-gooders discrediting others, you ( Beaf) should know - since that is the entirety of your performance here on NL cool cool cool

Beaf:
This doesn't make sense. Nigeria is currently a phucked up jungle because our politics is a place for murder and lying, a place without morals, yet here you are telling the first person to introduce some semblance of civilisation to exit the place for the usual animals.
Of course, I expect you to also be at the front of the train hypocritically calling for changes; thats the "Nigerian" way.

Dagbolu is in Osogbo. I have personally walked across the rail lines both in Osogbo and Ibadan, so just give it up.

You are posting pictures as if that has anything to do with this case. Next some ignorant fool is going to be quoting your photo and suggesting it is that of Baba Suwe.

At most that tells you to wait until: a) They release such a photo; b) They actually find physical evidence.

Jumping to conclusions that it is being covered up is just a bit callous, since the guy may be innocent and the NDLEA may have committed a big blunder.

Pray you never get wrongly accused of something so big - because if the same yardstick as you are using here were applied there would be no hope for you.

PoliticsExplosion Rocks Shinkafi, Gen Onoja’s Homes: Not Bomb Blast-Ringim by koruji(op): 2:07am On Oct 15, 2011

• We are investigating –IGP
From MURPHY GANAGANA, Abuja
Saturday October 15, 2011

The Federal Capital Territory, Abuja Thursday evening witnessed another explosion, as three buildings, in the highbrow Maitama District were partially damaged.

In the explosion, residences of General Lawrence Onoja, a former Principal General Staff Officer (PGSO) to the late Head of State, General Sani Abacha and ex-director general of the defunct National Security Organisation (NSO), Alhaji Umaru Ali Shinkafi, on Lahn Crescent, Maitama District, Abuja, were affected. The third building affected is located at No.3 of the street, which is barely 500 metres away from the official residence of the Inspector General of Police, Alhaji Hafiz Ringim.

Expectedly, the incident created panic among residents and security agents within the vicinity where the official residences of some ambassadors and heads of foreign missions are also situated, as people scampered for safety amid fears that the dreaded, Boko Haram, might have struck again.

Confirming the incident, in a telephone chat, Ringim said it was an explosion and not a bomb blast. Residents of the area also told Saturday Sun, when our reporter visited the scene at 2.30pm yesterday, that it was an explosion.
According to Ringim, “it’s true that there was an explosion, but it wasn’t a bomb. What happened was that the owner of the plot had contracted a construction company to build a structure for him, and in the course of doing the job, the workers used explosives to blast stones, which caused the destruction. Police are investigating the incident to determine how they came about the explosives.”

When Saturday Sun visited the residence of General Onoja, who was also a former military governor of Katsina and Plateau states, red mud covered the entire compound, just as the roof of his building was partially ripped open.
Also, the front and rear windscreens of a sleek Mercedes Benz car, with registration number Abuja CF 476 ABJ, were completely shattered.

A resident, who pleaded anonymity, said the was car was parked at the periphery of the fence behind the retired army officer’s residence, but was pushed to the front, close to the security post, by the impact of the blast, which occurred directly behind his building.
Investigation revealed that the worst hit was House No. 3 Lahn Crescent, which had its roof almost totally damaged. No fewer than 10 persons were seen fixing the damaged roofs and other parts of some of the affected buildings yesterday.
General Onoja, who was seen at his residence trying to put things together, declined comments.
PoliticsAnother Heavy Rain Coming, Lagos Warns by koruji(op): 2:03am On Oct 15, 2011
http://pmnewsnigeria.com/2011/10/14/another-heavy-rain-coming-lagos-warns/
The Lagos State government has appealed to residents living in flood-prone areas in the state to flee as the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has predicted heavier rainfall this month.

The government warned that it is better for residents in such areas to relocate to safer places to avert another disaster like the Sunday, 10 July, 2011 flood that ravaged Lagos.

The General Manager, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu gave this warning on Thursday in Lagos, southwest Nigeria.

According to Oke-Osanyintolu at the event marking the World Disaster Reduction Day, it was not safe to build or rent houses in wetland areas, saying that the government could not forcibly eject such people but that they have to leave on their own.

Oke-Osanyintolu warned the residents in such areas to quickly quit to avoid disasters, which he said, could be more devastating if they did not heed the warning.

“The state government is being careful. We have been sensitising the residents across the state. We have been asking them not to build houses or rent apartments on wetlands or flood-prone areas. Such areas are death zones which are not meant for residential purpose.

“The policy thrust of the state government is safety first. We have been working hard to achieve the goal. We have set up grassroots emergency management committee and school emergency management committee so as to tackle the root causes of what might culminate in the emergency crisis.

“We are building our early warning sign system. We have been removing all the structures constructed on the canals and channels across the state. We are creating awareness on how the state’s residents can effectively use emergency numbers (767 or 112), which are toll-free and attract no cost,” he said.

He added: “We have started building another relief camp in Igando in preparation for future disasters. We will want to ensure drastic reduction in future flood disasters in the state and have started a post-disaster behavioural change programme to examine the victims’ state of mental health.”

Typical jumping from side-to-side. Anyway, just wanted to let you know that YOU don't qualify as a reference for the truth of what you say.

"I don't work for GEJ" is another of your lies. Were you not here telling us the inside affairs of GEJ during the campaign and how "every knee shall bow" to the Jesus of Aso Rock. You were either lying back then, have a very short memory or lying right now.

You can call me whatever you like, it is your silly opinion to hold.  Just desist from telling disgusting lies and acting like you were slapped severally with the brreast as baby.

Beaf:
You have just painted a vivid picture of a deer caught in the headlamps. In this case though, the headlamps are of severe prejudice. It makes you a man on a railroad to nowhere who see's imaginary creatures attacking him. Not a good place to be.
How many times have I told you I don't work for GEJ? Yet each time you come back with even stronger nonsense, dude you are as trapped by your set views as a religious bigot is trapped by their dogma. Very unhealthy indeed.

You hate GEJ because of Beaf? My guy, you aren't the baby you make yourself out to be. There must be at least one good tuft of greying hair in your musty arse. Lighten up, bro! grin

It is as if you actually think GEJ is chasing you on NL. . . Scaring you. So you keep looking over your shoulder with crazed fevered eyes, fighting shadows, ducking when nothing has been thrown at you, flying into unfathomable rages and throwing childish tantrums. Its fun to watch, but it is unhealthy; I only feel sorry for you.

. . .Anyways, to round up; ACN governors have turned out to be duds and Aregbesola especially has turned out to be the most useless politician to have ever hit the shores of Nigeria. His uselessness is of extraordinary proportions that cannot be matched.
PoliticsRe: Are Acn Governors Over Hyped? Are They Different From The Usual Naija Politician by koruji(m): 4:28am On Oct 09, 2011
You are an unrepentant irritant. You are the liar. I was providing a contrast if you don't get it.

Since you are ALWAYS ready to turn everything good or bad into VERY DISHONEST AND DISGUSTING CRITICISM, honest critics would not border since: 1) Such criticism would be lumped with those of loud-mouths like you; 2) Loud-mouths like you would twist it in a second to mean what it does not mean.

Basically, in your attempt to hide GEJ behind one finger, as if anyone is using hooks to draw the kind of unserious statements that daily come out of his mouth, you have turned everything into a race to the bottom, instead of constructive criticism that leads to incremental improvement.

Those who honestly believed that GEJ could pull Nigeria out of its rut are disgusted right now, not because of his many missteps, but mainly  because he turned himself into a Napoleonic head of Nigeria's Animal farm sending his rabid "Squealers" (aka Beafs of NL) to hail his every step. Holding and fighting personal grudges, to which a real leader would develop thick skin, with all the might of Nigeria's resources - like market women fighting over customers. And to think he started the name calling in the first place.

What you will find is that supporters now hardly offer any criticism of ACN policies - it DOESN'T MEAN THEY NOW LIE. What they will do, however, is call you out on your disgusting lies. Why is that? Because it is necessary to put you "down" so that honest, people improving, criticism can be had.

If you heard any of those other stuff from somebody, talk to them, not me. Knowing you, it is all probably made up in your head. I have read a good number of the relevant threads and have read no such "he is Yoruba" crap. It is not that it is impossible that somebody said those things, but you are more likely to make it up. And if somebody told you to "phuck off" because of your disgusting lie that Aregbe is "borrowing N50 billion to cut grass", I say why not - you really don't deserve better.

The others said of Squealer that he could turn black into white” (2.2). Squealer becomes the mouthpiece of Napoleon’s regime. He rises to power because of his quick mind, his nimble tongue, and the fact that he seems to have absolutely no morals whatsoever.

Squealer makes his debut appearance when he justifies the fact that the pigs have hoarded milk and apples for themselves. He claims that these foods “contain substances absolutely necessary to the well-being of the pig. We pigs are brainworkers” (3.14). Later, when Napoleon eliminates the public meetings, Squealer is sent to explain the decision to the other animals. He tells them:

“No one believes more firmly than Comrade Napoleon that all animals are equal. He would be only too happy to let you make your decisions for yourselves. But sometimes you might make the wrong decisions, comrades, and then where should we be?” (5.19)

Squealer's logic is completely backward. If the animals are going to be allowed to make decisions, then they should be allowed to make whatever decisions they choose – right or wrong. Yet Squealer’s logic is always tricky. Its whole purpose seems to be to trip up the other animals, to confuse them enough that all they can do is conclude resignedly that perhaps Squealer knows best.

GEJ is not even a regular politician - he's worse. More like clueless.

I am not tied to the apron of any politician. But your penchance for turning everything, whether right or wrong, into evil makes it difficult for one to ever provide honest critism of ACN or PDP for that matter. One has to always stay on one or the other side of the political divide. In reality we should all have one side - the Nigerian people! Politicians are the ones supposed to fall in line.

Beaf:
I smileyf you like paralyse yourself with the anger of defeat, because you people sold duds to yourselves. . . And now, you are shocked and ashamed that your RASCALS have quickly established themselves as duds and political fungi. They are as useless as the regular politician, the sugar coating has dropped off to reveal some truly fugly mongrels indeed. . . 50billa to cut grass, kill mosquito's and chase errant goats around town!!! Na wa! grin grin grin grin

Kill yourself with anger, bro! Abeg, the matter is too funny!

You just keep your unreflective self at it - we shall see when you go jobless from your "propaganda" occupation in a couple of years.

Beaf:
When its time to defend Tinubu's corruption, you answer, "present sir!"
When good folk point out Aregbesola's corruption, you answer, "do you want to fight boy!"

Lol! You are starting to sound emptier and angrier every passing day!
