GEJ was president less than the years Yorubas were in oppositional. Yoruba leadership did not start the year GEJ became president.

All Yorubas did was jump on Buhari's popularity in North to pull themselves out of opposition. Nothing spectacular or political relevant about that. If not for Buhari's popularity in the North, Yorubas will still be in the oppositional today. GEJ already lost many North votes not only because of their tribalism but equally ignorant opinion field by the North leaders that he was responsible and sponsoring Boko Haram. GEJ lost because he lost supporters from the North. SW did not matter any bit in his lost as both SS and SE already gave him the required percentage he needed from South. Buhari on the other hand have always recieved the required percentage to win from North but failed each three times before the 2015 election to gain the required 25% from South. The Ibos refused to be decieved by him therefore, refused to vote for him both times his running partners were Ibos. They still maintained their believes about him all the way to 2015 hence, he had the least vote there. Judging from his very poor performance they were right to ignore his Trojan horse. I wish Yorubas were smart enough to do the same. Seeing that saraki just revealed that Yorubas are supporting this terrible leadership filled with hunger, death and many more for a selfish ambition to become president after him already explained to me my wish is a waste of time.

The chances of Yoruba becoming president is slim to nond. If APC gives the mandate to Yoruba, chances are PDP will give it to North. The North will always vote North. The only chance Yoruba has is the rest of South. I doubt SE will vote for a Yoruba and for SS, some may but most will not.
