Benzema is just the perfect partner for Ronaldo. He plays for the team and he is very unselfish.

Mehn, all our players impressed me today.I was particular impressed with Nacho and Varane in defence; Nacho especially, as I thought the right side of our defence would be exploited after Carvajal's withdrawal.But after seing Carasco trying to beat Nacho for pace and failing, I knew all Atleti's attack on that side will be futile.

I was boiling at the beginning of the second half as to why Zidane insisted on keeping Benzema on the pitch seeing as Real was dominating Atleti and were meant to be more than a goal up, with Benzema at the helm of our missed chances; Just before CR7's 2nd, I was hit with an epiphany of his role in the team.How many strikers would be willing to drift occasionally out of their normal position to accomodate Ronaldo drifting centrally? Not many, and that's what the various coaches that have handled Madrid know.His hold up for Ronaldo 2nd was good by the way.
