I don't know why they won't bring 5G for the Helio G series, that would mean no 5G for you know which brand for years to come

I suspect it might impact sales of devices bundled with the dimensity series, given the performance gap isn't that wide plus let them keep it that way for now... Price of their"flagship" without 5G is a mess, what'll happen when they make one then...

What do you guys have to say about the recently released Helio G88 sOC from Mediatek?

Though I dislike Mediatek, I cannot deny that they're improving at a good pace.

Performance-wise, it's perfect for the everyday task, gaming sessions and maybe some app usage like photoshop and chrome, it should handle it without any frame drops.

Also A-Sync (variable refresh rate for some) on a midranger... ngl it's a cool deal if it's cheap (100k below I mean)

Switch off mobile data and/or turn on airplane mode, enter YouTube, switch on mobile data and use the bonus...

I've been obsessed with LG phones since last year. Especially the G7 and G8. But, no money na, so I kept on hoping and hoping. I have an iPhone 8 Plus 64Gb now. And I am not interested in switching to IOS. The prices I'm seeing on Jiji are around 100-130k for foreign used ones. So, I should be able to sell mine for around 90 - say 120k. The G7's 3000Mah battery is not encouraging at all. The G8 is 3500 and the V50 is 4000.

I need something that can give me 6 hours SOT at least. Suppose I can afford these with my iPhone money, which should I go for? I read the difference between the G8 and V50 is minute. Has anyone here used all three devices or at least two? What do you advice?

And how do I get the one I want? I don't know any seller.

Get the G8
Forget the battery capacity, you'll be getting more than 6hrs SOT even if you don't game on it. Loved the phone for it's form factor, true tone (V50 doesn't have this), Face ID that rivals an iPhone.

V50 doesn't have the true tone or the 3D Face ID (it's got 2D) and the SOT is about 8hrs of usage while playing games, 10+hrs for casual games and other stuff.
If you want to get the G8, I think someone has it up for sale @ 90k or so.

I find it easier to network with foreigners, they'll be offering to help you without prying much into your personal life like some Nigerians I've met, especially them religous fanatics
