Good day. i drive a Toyota Camry 03. Some months ago I noticed it goes into 4th gear but with a high rev at 60 to 70 km/h and jerks to get into 4th gear. Currently, it hardly gets into 4th. Hope it's a minor issue that won't require me replacing the whole transmission. What should I do? Help...thanks

Good morning everyone. My brother has been using a Camry 03 since January this year and everything works perfectly well. The car has been misbehaving and these were our findings. Just last month (July) if I engage it in drive, it won't move until I rev it to at least 7 to 8 time to like 3000rpm and it would pick to drive mode all of a sudden. Only a few times it engages normal but most times, I have to rev continously till it picks into drive mode. Reverse, neutral, park are good and it drives pretty good except when engaged into drive mode. Secondly, I bought a new battery (20k) 7weeks ago. Two weeks ago it went completely flat. I took it to battery charger that day but went flat 3 days ago. This morning the car started fine but on the cluster the battery sign is red. I switched off but it won't start. More like something drained the life out of it. My mech has been here also to check with another battery and said the alternator is fine. He even removed one of the battery terminal and the car didn't go off. Lastly, is it OK to change the back lining of my car to disc for I seem to be buying lining every month. Please help, for i like this car so much. Thank you.

Good afternoon everyone. I drive a 2003 Camry. But I noticed it doesn't have the abs. I've told two different mechanics at different locations and after looking at my engine, they said mine doesn't use ABS. I did not believe them. But I tell you, every 5 to 6 weeks I change lining. Could it be that the absence of the ABS is responsible for the quick eating up of the lining or a bad lining? Or some camry models don't use ABS? If mine does, how much does it cost to buy? Thank you Sir...

Good day everyone and complement of the season.
I want to know the cause of my mileage reverting back to zero when it gets up to 10,000 km. This is the second time it's happening. It's a Toyota Camry 2004.
My second question is, apart from the exhaust manifold, does the car have another catalytic converter? My car seem to be consuming fuel.
Then lastly, if I turned on the ac while driving at a stable speed of 100km/h, my temperature gauge rise. If I turned it off it will come down to normal. But if ac is on and I don't exceed 80km/h, the temperature gauge stays normal. Please help.

Good afternoon everyone. I need to know the cause of my milage reverting back to zero after getting up to 10,000 km. This is the second time it's happening. It's a Toyota Camry 04. My second question is, apart from the exhaust manifold, does the car have another catalytic converter? If I have a full tank, in 3 to 4 days time it's gone half tank with the ac on for a very short journey (Ojo to Satellite Town). Is this normal? Please help...

Good evening everyone. Please I need help on my car, Toyota Camry. If i get up to a speed of 80km/h and let go of the gas pedal to apply the brakes, the steering wheel vibrates. I've change tyrod socket and did alignment 3 days ago but I'm still feel that vibration. Also I've changed the brake disc 3 months ago. What do you guys think could possibly be the problem?
Car Talk / Re: Car Talk Chat Room by Kristolite: 6:16am On Sep 27, 2018
Wow! I didn't know that. And it's a bit smaller than the Camry. Thanks any way. I will save up for the Camry compressor.

I have done a check on my car (Toyota Camry) and really, the compresor is badly damaged on the inside. I was told the oil got dried up. I also took it to another electrician @ Ladipo who looked at it and said the same thing. The compressor for my car cost btw 37k to 40k but was given an option of getting a Peugeot's own with the same sitting though less expensive. I hope to get it done by tomorrow, I don't really have that cash and I'm considering option B, which I have no knowledge of since it's less expensive. So pls i need advice, thanks.

Hi good morning everyone. I drive a Toyota Camry 2004. Recently, the ac compressor is struggling to turn. And after blowing cool air for like 10min, hot air follows immediately and it stays that way till the next day. Note, the ac switch button light doesn't blink. Pls help I'm opened to suggestion.

Hello everyone. Good day. I drive a Camry 2003/04. I can run my car a/c for as long as 4hrs to 5hrs. But I discovered recently as I drive with the ac on, the temperature increased gradually after like 20min to 30min drive. When I turn off the ac, the temperature gauge begins to normalise.

NOTE: I've not had the chance to ve a look at the engine to know if the ac fan isn't rolling because whenever it happens, I usually have no place to pack and my only option was to turn off the ac. I need advice on what to do. Please help.

Thanks erico I really appreciate. There are no traces of water leakage on the floor because I do check the ground before starting the car in the morning. Still, I will have my hose and water pump checked and I will get back to you.

Good day everyone. Just two weeks ago, one of my radiator fan rotor got very hot and burnt off. I got the fan replaced. But since then I found out that I have to top up the water in the radiator every morning. Formerly, I top water every 3 to 4 days. I've checked for leakage but there's none. I'm opened to suggestion here. Kindly help.

Good day everyone. I drive a 2004 Camry and the issue is that my brakes are not as hard as I want them to be. I got them changed (the linings and the front brake pads) 2 weeks ago but it has gone soft and not as hard as they were 2 weeks ago. Just want to know if there's anything I can do about it. Secondly, what is the function of the 02 sensor? Still waiting for someone to help me out here.

Good day everyone. I drive a Camry 2003. I've never had any part of the engine touched or changed any part since I bought it in November 2015. But just last month in December till date, the car Idle is below 500RPM and as a result it makes my engine vibrate a little only if the car is not in motion. Just want to no if this is normal for a vehicle. But aside that, it doesn't switch off even when the ac is on and works perfectly well.

Good evening. Just need suggestion on my car seat. I drive a 2003/04 camry. I adjusted the driver's seat 4ward to clean the water that mistakenly poured on the floor of the back saet. After taking car of the water, I cudn't adjust my seat back to the original position. I can't even enter my car because the seat is too close to the steering wheel and dash. It's stuck. It can only move downwards and upwards but i can't move it t4ward or backwards. Please help...

Thanks a bunch for helping me out. I'm really grateful. You guys are obviously good at this car stuff. In reply to what you said, yes I was referring to the second picx you posted. Yes the "catalytic converter" the one inside the manifold which I referred to as "net like". Thanks for giving me the name (laughing at myself "net like").I will go and get it replaced 2mrw. Thanks man.

No I didn't scan it. But last month I discovered dat the gear oil was leaking just a little bit but only wen I'm in motion. My mech said it's a bad seal n it will require taking out some eggine parts which dey in my present only to discover dat the net like thing (catalytic) in the 4 cylinder manifold was not there. Just like I said yesterday, is the net like thing together or it can be bought separately. It's something like this. Waiting ur reply thanks.

What I'm talking about is covered by this thing I'm pointing at. I guess it covers the 4 cylinder of this car. Pls help. I was told it 4 cylinder has a catalyst, a net kind of thing which regulates fuel consumption.

Good day guys in the house. Hope you all are having a great day. I just need your take on this b4 I venture into the market with my mech. I drive a Camry 03/04 model. Since I had it, I spend a little more on fuel. This had made me to use the a/c occationally. So my mech took out the part that has the 4 cylinder just opposite the radiator and found out that the catalyst wasn't in it. My question is: Can this be responsible 4 burning more fuel? Can the catalyst be bought separately or it comes together with the 4 protruding manifold cylinder?

Alright then, now that I know that the frequent on and off of the radiator fans is normal, what do you suggest I do to mine? My fans are permanently on, my relays are neat, clean and no form of any external wiring of any sort. Should I have a re-wire to look at it or do you think an atom of an engine part is missing? I'm opened to suggests. Thank you Sir...

Hello guys, I need someone to educate me on the radiator fans of a car. At my mechanic's workshop, I noticed that the radiator fans of a Toyota Sienna would spin for a while, stop for a few seconds, spins again for a while, stop for a few seconds and so on. When I asked my mechanic, he said that's how its meant to work. Last year I had a 2001 Camry V6 XLE. I love that car but the fans were always on (rolling). I was told it was to prevent overheating, although the relays had been tapered with before I had. Last month I bought a 2003 Camry LE with a clean engine, neat relays with no wiring of any sort but my fans don't work like that of the Toyota Sienna I saw. Its always rolling. Are the fans meant to spin and stop automatically or my version was made that way?

Just 3weeks ago I noticed that the idle fluctuates(when I'm in traffic) btw 700 and 800 rpm and one can hear the rising and falling sound when inside the car. If the traffic starts moving and I step on the gas pedal, the car stalls or jerks or goes off. I've changed all my spark coil(tubes) and fuel filter but the problemstill persist. I love this car, don't want to let go but dis little issue is making me ve a change of mind pls help. Kristhuks@rocketmail.com
