I like nairalanders. They are very good at picking errors but very bad at correcting them. Now all the grammarians in the house, somebody should correct the '...live witness of this horrible incidence...'The poster needs to know how to say it right. Over to you....

Health / Re: Eat More Bananas For More Sons – Scientists by kritikul(f): 9:00am On May 01, 2013
dafuq are u saying? Because some bunch of scientist said so, so its right? Go study ur biology.. whatever they came up was based on numbers of women-eating-banana with sons and not an actual observation of the effects of banana on implantation or fertilization... until it become proven that women can produce Y chromosome, this research is baseless and just a mere coincidence.

I think the effect does not lie in the implantation or fertilization nor has anything to do with the production of chromosomes. What i think it does is to increase the alkalinity of the woman's cervical mucus which enables the y chromosome to swim faster and survive more then the x chromosome thereby giving the y a better chance to fertilize the egg. Studies have shown that male sperms survive better in alkaline environment while the female are more active in acidic ph.

I wrote jamb 2009 and scored 228. UP till today i am still wondering why jamb scored me 56 in my best subject instead of 96. I am sure i answered 48 questions correctly in that particular subject and the 2 that i wasn't sure of i left them blank. I know I scored higher than what the mark i was given. When am ready to sue they must produce my answer script. Its Very annoying

Celebrities / Re: Chinedu Ikedieze (AKI) And His Beautiful Daughter! by kritikul(f): 3:12pm On Aug 26, 2012
dasparrow: @Post

If that is truly his baby then congratulations are in order. However, I do not think that baby is his. He and his wife Nneoma got married on December 10th 2011 (8 months ago). That baby looks like she is already clocking 6 months old. So when exactly did Chinedu's wife get pregnant and carry the baby 9 months in her womb and then give birth to a currently 6 months old looking baby?

Tomorrow now, when I say many Nigerians are not bright but rather daft and ignorant, some of you will get upset.

My exact thought. Nigerians are so ignorant and blind. Blind because they should have seen from her wedding pictures that she wasn't pregnant and this is just 8 months after her wedding plus the baby is already grown. Hisssssssss
Family / Re: Pregnancy: How Did This Happen Again? by kritikul(f): 2:17pm On Mar 01, 2012
Guys and ladies, really need sound advice please, Just opened this account for obvious reasons but I ve been an avid follower of the inputs SOME of you make to people in distress and I think it's useful. The situation is this,

I am a single lady, late twenties , had a intimate encounter 2 weeks ago with someone and used protection but now I ve started getting a skin rash which I only get when I am pregnant, how is it possible after using a condom which didn't burst, I am baffled. Similar thing happened years back as a student and let me just say I was practically disowned by my parents for 'bringing disgrace and shame to family' , lost that pregnancy, now I am working but not in a relationship

The koko is that I am not in a relationship now so goes back to me becoming a single mum which will complete the disowning process for me (my family are the type you havent seen, my age is just a number to them) or I find someone to accept me and baby and get married for sake of it, although am not in a relationship, someone has been pestering me to be in one with him and I don't really like him but seems beggars can't choose

It really baffles me why some ladies just get pregnant when they re not even married.

aloy/emeka:

Those people look like people struggling to survive the flood or people enjoying the natural swimming pool God gave them?. Look at the picture again and tell me whether they are struggling to stay afloat the water or swim across the water. Are you kidding me?

This Emeka aloy is so so dumb. How on earth do you think those people will go about their dailly activities without swimming into that flood. Or you dont know it will take days for that water to dry up. I think you need to be in their shoes before you would understand that they are actually not swimming for pleasure angry angry angry.
Family / Re: Is It Compulsory To Wear Identical Outfits For Introduction? by kritikul(f): 11:11am On Aug 31, 2011
Chidoxyl:

On Introduction Day? Y wear d same outfit? Me think wearing d same outfit is absurd cos Introduction is not Engagement. Your Introduction day is a day appointed 4 your family members 2 meet d lady's family members in their home & make your intention 2 marry their daughter known 2 them. It is also a day dat could be termed as your first official visit 2 your would-be inlaws.

Now, y come 2 make your intention 2 marry my daughter known 2 me wen both U & my daughter are already wearing d same outfit? Do U not understand that wearing d same outfit means U guys are already running things. So, if U both are already running things, wat then becomes d essence of d Introduction?

Now listen. Once I see U guys dressed dis way, I take it 2 be an INSULT to d lady's family (my family as d lady's father). And me seeing it as an insult could lead me 2 taking a very unpleasant decision.

Hence, wearing Identical outfits For Introduction should not even be an option 2 d 2 'unknown families', talk-less of being compulsory!

What of a couple trying to do introduction and traditional marriage the same day. How would you suggest they dress?

Business / No More MTN Free Night Calls? by kritikul(f): 8:18am On Aug 08, 2011
Hi Folks, Please does anyone know if MTN has stopped their free midnight calls. I was making calls last night thinking it was free not knowing I was being charged and was surprised when i heard 'one minute remaining'.  When i checked my account balance my N350 airtime was gone and instead of the normal PAYGO balance as they normally write, they wrote Family and Friends. Could this mean anyone on Family and Friends can no longer make free night calls  or have they stopped free calls entirely. Please anyone with similar experience?
Fashion / Re: What Do Hair Dressers Do That Really Annoy You? by kritikul(f): 8:09pm On Aug 03, 2011
Breaking my hair in the name of combing while retouching and even during ordinary washing/setting, using their over mixed conditioner that would have no effect on the hair. Then after working on braking my hair, they would say my hair has split ends and needs trimming and they will go ahead and barb my hair in the name of trimming with some parts shorter than the rest. And they would trim it at every retouch such that my hair stops growing. It also annoys me how some of them will accept to do a style they know nothing of and you end up loosing the hair the same day. I so much dread going to the saloon. Too many amateur among them angry angry angry

I'm sure some GTB staff started this thread and called many more of his colleagues to join in defence of the bank. sad sad sad sad

There you go wrong, the facts stand undoubtedly that gtb is the best. Have you ever been to any of their banking halls, welcoming atmosphere, undelayed transaction, no queues, I cant count how many times i ve had to withdraw from their atm machines with my oceanic atm card. on a particular occasion in Akowonjo area of Lagos where 6 different banks were located, only gtb atm machine was working, thank God for them i would ve been stranded that sunday. should i talk about their security, the way the would attend to you at the entrance and serve you as if you are a mini god. In fact, countless other reasons make me to thumb up for GTB.

Pls anybody have details of the accident that happened at Lagos-Ibadan expressway on saturday? A similar accident happened on the same road some time ago where a fuel tanker collided with several vehicles and set them all ablaze with the passengers inside. What is happening on that road? There was even a newspaper headline that once captioned it a 'blood sucking road'. What is wrong with that road?
