Oberhiri141: Ever since i packed into my new house, my landlady and her daughter have been disturbing my life one way or the other. One day, I gave my landlady 10kg of mama gold rice which was given to me at my place of work and then the following morning she called me and asked me to lend her 10k.
I think she has taken my kindness for weakness and as for her daughter, her own inordinate request for money is unbearable. If it's not meatpie today then it's recharge card or even hair cream.
Please, Elders in the house, how can I cope with this burden? They're dating you already in their head. Mr simple guy |

Alusiizizi: There is no law whatsoever that limits the amount of cash that one can have on his person just like there's no law that forbids one from running around in gang/drug paraphernalia. At the same time(depend on place and circumstance) the police are empowered(obliged) to respond to suspicious(profiled) targets in ways that can be undesirable. If you are considered(suspected) to be dangerous or a law-breaker the law enforcement authorities are duty bound to investigate you, detain you up to the limits allowable by law, and in these sort of cases, confiscate your money until some such time when it is deemed not to be connected to drug crimes. Most of these confiscations are induced by "judgement calls" on the part of the acting officer, in other words there's no sort of prescription on who fits versus who doesn't, nor is there much in the way of guidelines. Now we can rant all up and down about rights and liberties but the simple reality of the matter is that this is how U.S. law is constructed, a construct that doesn't seem to be about to change at any time in the near or distant future. Its no one is right or wrong in our assertion or points. Its base on personal experience and shared judgment from individuals. Let's enjoy the weekend |

Alusiizizi: No one will book or fine you because you have cash in your car, that's not the point. What we're driving at here is that there is a high risk of having the money confiscated in which event recovering the money back is almost impossible, and just because you either got lucky of have some sort of familiarity with your local police doesn't make this risk any less real. The main issue is weather it is lawful or not to carry cash in your car. Not sure there is law in the state restricting anyone from carrying their hard earned money in the comfort of their car, except there is justifiable reasons for the law enforcement to go after certain individuals as the case may be. Though there is a case recently aired on local TV here of a certain California resident carrying $95k life savings and was stopped in one of the Midwest states, the money was confiscated but he was able to prove the source and got his money bad. State law here too are different but when it comes to dollar bill I think the rule cuts across |

Alusiizizi: I think I've spent enough time on this. If you still doubt me then by all means try it out and see for yourself. If you happen to be in a U.S. city and also happen to be black, try inducing a policeman to stop you(perhaps by driving over the speed limit or running a red light in full view of an officer), make sure that you have $2000 or more in plain sight. After the ordeal do be sure to give us a testimony of your experience on this forum. Bros i live here in US and have had cash in my car always due to the nature of my side hustle and infact been pulled over several times without any bookings or fines. But I have had hand full of warning but I haven't experienced anything search or what so ever. This is strange and the only time such things as you mentioned can happen is when they have intel about you or mistaken identity which is not common. |

Weirdcamila: Celebrities move around with wads of cash in USA . Even strippers get dollar bills rain on them . You're right about OGs,celebrities and the likes going about with wads but its still doesn't take away the fact that its not healthy for them , security, economic wise and the general handling of cash especially when it comes to notes preservation. I live here too and have at one time or the other for different reasons moved some amount fairly reasonable . You don't have to be a suspect to get pulled over by the cops, if there is any reason for them to do so. But in the event the officers feels the need to search you or your property (car) at a time ,I think they have the right to do so,especially if you have nothing to hide. Except otherwise. |

Let me put in as succinctly as possible: a broke lady shouldn't get wet nor should she use her body as an office to transact business. Salewabeau: I hope I get the right reasons here than other channel here since this is the dating thread
My husband and I got married in 2021. He got a job in the UK middle of last year as a skilled worker. He was into tech before he left. Since then I've been the only one in the motherland while he consistently sent something home to cater for myself and rent. Plans are underway to join him as soon as I'm done with NYSC.
Last week, one of my friends in the UK hinted me about something that keeps giving me sleepless nights and terrible unrest. She's a student there and we went to secondary school together. She happened to see my hubby on a dating website. She sent me screenshot of his profile and my husband pictures are all there. Everything. She's on the dating app too.
I confronted my husband after several investigation of the geniuty of what I know. He only yield in after I sent him all evidence that I have. Now he tells me dating app is a norm in the UK and everyone is there. He said he's only there to socialize and meet people, especially Nigerian, but not for dating.
This has caused some issues between us as I wasn't really satisfied with this excuse. I'm tired of constantly thinking my husband is cheating on me.
I love my husband and he's the only man I've ever known. I am a man, dating app isn't for socialization but dating, am glad he cave inn to your demand on wanting to be sure he registered on the site by himself, so am not quick to say his pictures were used without his consent He is looking for friends with benefits, thats common in western world because not everyone is confident enough to tell you in your face they like you but online shit is easier. Tell him that internet world is a small place and he should stay away from such if he wants his family not to scatter. Take is easy and stop eavesdropping on everything, your family is too young to bug yourself down with what your man is doing in far away land,if not it won't be long before your blood pressure starts going up. I have alot to comment but not in the mood this morning I have my own headache. |

adenigga: Senate President Ahmad Lawan has argued that the cattle-rearing business has not got the kind of support and attention it should get from the government in Nigeria. Lawan submitted that the sub-sector has the potential to serve as a huge boost to the economy and must get the support to do so from the government.
He added that cattle rearing should not be seen as a private business and promised not to relent but fight in ensuring the government supports it.
Naija News understands Lawan made his stand known while playing host to a delegation from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, led by the Minister, Mohammad Mahmood Abubakar.
Speaking further, the Senate President said though he is not a Fulani man, he believes cattle rearers in the country have not been fairly treated and better things need to be done for them.
He argued that the government supports and bails out other sectors of the economy and cattle rearing as well as general livestock rearing should not be an exemption.
He urged members of the public to desist from their hypocritical view of government support for those involved in cattle rearing business.
He said, “This sector, the livestock sector, does not get the attention of the government. And I find it strange that here, you have a sector that has the potential of boosting our economy significantly and yet it is neglected.
“I am not a Fulani in any way. I don’t have any Fulani blood but I think our livestock rearers have not received a fair deal all through our history.
“As elected people, we owe every segment of those that elect us the obligation and responsibility to do what is right, to draw attention of government and where we are able to do something personally we do so for the betterment of our people.
“I think many Nigerians have been hypocritical. When it comes to livestock rearers, they will say, No, No, No. government should not support them, it is private business. That is hypocrisy.
“What can be more private than banks; individuals will establish bank, steal the money, then AMCON will take over. They will call it toxic assets and put the burden on our head.
“Government has given over N1.2 trillion to Electricity Distribution Companies that have been sold to people. Even those who are engaged in crop farming, they get something, maybe free, and when it comes to livestock, they will say it is private business. That is hypocrisy. And it is unfair to those who are engaged in livestock farming.
“This is 2022. Next year there will be elections for President, Governors, Senators, House of Representatives and state Assembly members. In the APC, I will fight until our manifesto provides for our livestock sub-sector programme.”
I Will Lead The Fight
Lawan vowed that beyond the current administration, he would be at the forefront of agitation for the government to be more involved in providing support for cattle rearing business.
He said: “Yes, I will lead the fight and there will be no problem because I believe that our administration must do something. And whatever is left for this administration, I am going to get more of my colleagues to push something for the livestock sector. Fair is fair.
“We just have to be fair to people and I think we have not been fair to our livestock animal rearers and fishermen. Our livestock sub-sector needs better attention.
“And I’m not talking politics. Leaders, at all levels of government, Federal, states and Local Government, must do something to address this. And Nigerians must desist from being hypocritical.”

co787: My wife and daughter traveled to her village in August for 3weeks and they were supposed to be back before the school resumption but she changed her mind saying her mother was seriously ill that she has to extend her stay which was fine by me and when they returned back I noticed that she has lost so much weight which I asked her why she said it was due to the stress of caring for her sick mother which is normal.
She is her only daughter and oldest of 4 her younger ones are boys so they cannot take care of their mother better than her. Here is the reason I got her arrested, during her stay in the village, her 14 years old brother raped my daughter. This is one of the reason she overstayed in the village. She didn't tell me anything about my daughter being raped she and her mother had decided to give her treatment and cover the idiot that repeatedly raped her and when she came bck she didn't say anything to me but she confided in her prophetess which in her turn has started spreading news until it came to my ears that my own daughter was raped and her own mother has kept quiet and I can imagine if it was a member of my family that did the abominable acts the whole world would have heard it and she would have done everything in her power to put in prison.
But because it is her own brother, she has decided to keep quiet and not knowing the world is small and not secret is hidden forever. I took my daughter to the hospital the result has confirmed she was tampered i was devasted she has been the best wife to me and she has helped me and my sisters to reconciled in the past but what she has done to me it is unforgivable and I have arrested her and when I bail her I will divorce her and take custody of my daughter.
I don't know if I need advice or not but your input and suggestion are welcome I will be reading all your comments. Please do whatever it takes to get your sanity straight i support |
