Dear All, I need to a quotation for an App for the sales of construction materials and tools, construction equipment rental and artisan registration within a defined location in Lagos. It will be like Jiji or e-commerce website, but strictly for construction materials only, and within a limited area I already have a registered domain name and hosting package for the website. The App must have the following features: 1. Multiple users should be able to upload their products after registration 2. Must have free listing, but also premium listing category. 3. Must have space to identify verified sellers. 4. Must be able to indicate if material has been sold or not. 5. Would be good if location of product from intending customer can be calculated (required, but not compulsory) If interested, send me your proposal to infoATaquilaconsults.com including prce for App only and App + website. For the website, there will also be a classified advert functionality, along with a directory of construction materials sellers within the location. Please I only want experienced App developers with sample Apps which they have done. I will only pay after seeing a demo sample to the above specification, if you are selected. Regards. |
How much for 6ft bed? You did not drop your contact details. |
Emeraldicon:Yet to see your proposal. |
Emeraldicon:Ok, I have sent a mail to you. Cheers. |
What exactly do you train people on, and which location are you looking at? |
Yes, sure! Will contact you through WhatsApp! |
Why don't you show a promotional video to show actual application of the POP? How much is the truck load and how many bags are in it? What is the proposed retail price? Can you list all the locations you are still looking for agents? What is the difference between "Distributor" and "Depot Manager" as advertised? |
dkdaniel11:@Daniel, I got your email, but unfortunately Kano is too far for me. I am strictly looking for a business located in Lagos, and which aligns with my interest. Why don't you approach Bank of Industry or like, as you seem to have a good proposal. Cheers. I sincerely wish you the best. |
redbottles:Yet to see it as at this evening. |
kaorama:I don't think he was necessarily referring to results. He said needed the HOD's signature. I think MTN need to review its procedures. An original copy of the results from Exams & Records should suffice. I can't remember having any business with my HOD when I was on such scholarship (not MTN) several years ago. |
redbottles:Can you send your proposal to me at info@aquilaconsults.com? |
redbottles:Where is your fish farm and end market located? Is your educational background related to this, or where did you get your experience from? |
@OP Can you drop your contact details? |
keneryhark:Good concept by the way, but you did not state how much you need for the marketing. The commercial option is particularly interesting, especially in areas where only 14 seater buses serves a particular destination. I however have some questions/comments as follows: 1. The market for the VIP service seems saturated, as you can easily get private car hires in any part of Lagos and negotiate for them to take you to another state. Is there any particular advantage of using your service? 2. In the face of current security situation in the country, how do you vet drivers on the platform? Long distance travelling increase the risk of kidnapping, robbery, rape, etc. 3. How do you ensure security of the drivers and other passengers, in case some group of criminals book the commerial taxi to a particular destination? 4. What plan do you have to mitigate complaints of driver's misdemanour as currently made on Uber and Taxify? 5 Is there any particular reason why you did not want to use Google Map for the address like other taxi apps? Have you considered the option of working directly with known interstate transport companies who can mitigate the risks listeed above and then provide the app to help optimise their passengers? Otherwise, how would people be willing to entrust their lives to an unknown company,? How will you manage all the risks involved, as your organisation would be liable in a case of serious crime against drivers or passengers? Regards. |
Kenni700:Hi Kenni, Unfortunately, I am more service inclined than manufacturing if you notice from my post above. But, I would like to ask if you have approached the Bank of Industry (BOI) for a loan? Your business seem to be the right candidate for their loan, and their interest rate seem to be reasonable for SMEs. My main issue with manufacturing is that the effort put in is often not commensurate with income and the profit margin is usually rather slim, except you produce in mass. The process involved from raw material sourcing, to manufacturing, logistics, stocking, marketing and sales is just too cumbersome for me as there are too many factors beyond your control. But anyway, some people are more disposed to it than others. Notwithstanding the above, the teaching aid sounds interesting to me, but I would probably be more interested if there was a specific large order from a reputable client (e.g a school chain) for which you are trying to meet demand. Cheers. |
I am willing to invest in an existing business to acquire new equipment and tools to enable them expand their business and earnings between now and end of this year. My preference will be for people involved in something related to hand work, where addition of a few critical equipment, tools and /or materials can make a substantial difference to their business. e.g electronics repair, carpentry, metal works, shoe making, fashion design, bag making, machine repairs, car repair, sewing machine repair, bakery, etc. I may also help with the rent for a bigger space if required. You must have been running the business for at least 6 months with clear evidence of earnings. The maximum amount to invest is 1 million naira which must be sufficient for the expansion, and the business owner must give clear plan of how much he/she is able to pay back monthly. I am unwilling to give money directly to anybody as I have been scammed on this forum before. Hence I will pay directly to the seller of the equipment or tools in my name, which will then be leased to the person to use. I am even willing to fully set up the business expansion and allow you to use it based on agreed T & Cs. Of course, if you don't live to reasonable expectations, you can be replaced. The business must be based in an easily accessible part of Lagos, but may consider Ibadan or Ogun State in an exceptional case. If I am able to recover double of my total investment within a year, I will be willing to transfer full ownership back to the owner. Otherwise, I will consider a longer term involvement in the business, including future expansion if the current owner fulfill his/her promises as at when due and I am sufficiently interested in the business. I will also be willing to jointly invest with others. You can give a summary of your business proposal here and leave a WhatsApp or email contact, and I will contact you if interested. No need to send me a PM. Cheers. |
If you already have people interested, why don't you look for existing training centers e.g a fashion school located at a convenient place to conduct your training. You can always negotiate with the owner for a fee or profit sharing. Online training for something practical is not the same as in-person, except when it is totally unavoidable like when the customer is outside the country. I think it is a business that can be sustainable if you are willing to properly set it up. You can first start with partnering with others and gradually get a convenient location of your own which will be accessible to your customers. My one cent! |
davincizlyrics:I see this as a good but long- term investment that can even be expandable over time. However, I don't understand why you are not willing to mention the state, as it definitely will have direct impact on decision making by potential investors. |
@jmathew, Your business proposal sounds doable and not so difficult to achieve. Since you have already invested close to 200k, I think all you need is 1 to 3 people to buy the other complementary equipment which will be co-located. This will eliminate the issue of trust of people handing over their money to a total stranger but rather bringing it together and the profit can be shared. Which state are you looking at? Cheers. |
davincizlyrics:Can you confirm the state you are looking at? What exactly do you intend to spend the funds on? Is the amount you propose going to be sufficient for rent, equipment, etc? |
I will suggest you do a market survey around the area for at least 2 weeks. How much is paid per car and what is the average car washed per day. From that, you can see if you will have enough profit after deducting the daily rent, staff payment and other materials used. If you can make a profit of at least two times what you pay him per month I will say go for it. You may negotiate with the owner to allow you try the first month for free to test the waters. But I think it saves you a lot of money compared to starting from scratch, and it is a lot less risky. You can also gradually save for your own car wash eventually. Even, if it doesn't work after 2-3 months, you can walk away with minimal initial investment. But please do your market survey first before taking a decision. |

Some questions for you: How exactly do you plan to make money from this? Do you have a domain name secured? Is it just a App or website and App that you are looking at? Have you also considered intellectual property rights? Cheers. |
What's the mileage? 1.7m acceptable? |
What is the year and mileage? |
Mileage, year, location? Manual or auto transmission? |
Can you provide more spec? Engine size, petrol or diesel, 2 or 4 wheel drive? |
darkcaesar03360:Add carpentry, coding, web design, barbing, dstv and solar panel installation. In fact, search for any skill that is selling, and you can learn a lot in 3 months. You can also do internship in your area of study. It will also add to your experience. |
