Goodday my peep, I'm 36 weeks 3days today, I've started contracting since 3days ago. It come in the morning for few seconds & returns in the evening which stays for few minutes, I feel like I want to pee wen it comes in the evening. My Dr. said by next week Wednesday I should come to the hospital & bring my bag IF the delivery has not come on its own. That they may try 2assistwt d delivery. She checked my cervix today( Chai that thing hurts) & said the cervix is beginning 2be open small small.
Pls what should I be doing between now & then? I've started exercising, eating dates, ewedu. Pls enlighten ur sis o biko

I know I ate a lot of pineapples and trek a lot too

Birth Story

Pre-pregnancy
After I had my first baby in December 2020, I did implanon family planning because I have a plan of having the next baby after 4 years. As soon as my baby clocked 1, pressure started coming right, left and center that I had to remove the implant when my baby was 1 year 6 months thinking that before she clocked two or even two I will get pregnant. Lo and behold, pregnancy entered the next month.

First trimester
My first trimester was filled with lots and lots of drama ranging from fainting, to metallic taste, headache, incessant eating and headache. My husband tried to persuade me to resign and take care of my health but na boredom go kill me o, I resisted and continue and God so good, blessed me with understanding boss and colleagues who are ready to fill in for me anytime I can't make it to work.

Second trimester
Headache and fainting spell stopped and edema started but I still managed to go to work and do house chores that I can do when my health permitted. My boss even moved me to another department and decrease my workload, God bless her for me.

Third trimester

Edema dealt with me severely but I still managed to go to work with slippers ooo and when I entered 28 weeks back pain and tightening of the lower tummy joined my ministry with sciata. I almost gave up o but I kept on pushing knowing someday I will deliver my baby.
I kept on managing the back pains like that until last night when I noticed water trickling down my thighs till I noticed an outpour of water running down and soaking my clothes.

Delivery
I woke up my husband and told him to let's start going to the hospital. On getting to the hospital, I was checked and was that contractions has started. That was around past 11pm at night. By 1a.m, I noticed the intensity is getting more closer, and the nurses encouraged me to practice my breathing exercises. Some minutes to 4, the intensity becomes more serious and less time in between, the matron decided to check me and she realized that the baby is crowning already. I delivered him at 4:10am this morning and placenta followed immediately. The baby and I was cleaned to God be the glory, I had no tears or any complications. I was discharged by 12 noon.

I pray for all women looking for the fruit of the womb that this time next year, it will be you and your babies. To all pregnant mothers, your day of joy too shall come.
I hereby throw my boot into the lake of fire.

Thanks for checking us on us mama. I'm a bit worried this evening.. I just returned from seeing my Dr and she's suggesting because of the delay in fertility (7years) that maybe we should do CS to bring out the baby by week 37. So far everything has been going out so well wt me & the baby. No issues at all. Why must she suggesting that since there's no issue? Must every woman that have experienced infertility do CS?
Pls I need natural ways / things to aids natural delivery. I'm 35 weeks 4days already today. What can I do to avoid this because as far as I'm concerned there's no problem with the pregnancy except that I've waited for 7years before having it. Pls I'm worried. Thnx

Congratulations my dear sis. I know ttc is not an easy journey but God Almighty was with you all step of the way. Since you don't have any underlying medical issues, there is no cause for alarm. Take dates, walk around like 20 minutes everyday, take pineapple and have lot of sex. Our baby can even decide to surprise you and come early. The Good lord who has started His good works will definitely see it to a successful end.

I've been feeling uneasy today, I have pains around my waist.. my bump feels heavy especially this night. I can hardly bend (I'm in my early third trimester) My body feels different today🥺..

Should I be worried? Sometimes it feels as tho my baby wants to pop right through.. like my cervix is about to open😣

This is me in your shoes some weeks back. The baby is descending into the pelvic area, there is nothing to worry about though because the pain will go on it own.

Goodday my peep, how u na dey? Hope we're rocking it. I'm asked to do these tests below & now that I saw my Dr with the result she said the results didn't match. That the glycated haemoglobin result does not correspond wt the other results. I did the tests in separate lab within 1-2:30hrs interval without eating.
Pls help me check Tru because this test is expensive oo.

I have been trying to upload the results but it's not uploading.

FBS(Fasting blood sugar)... 3.9mnill
2HPP(2hrs post panda).... 6.2mnill

Glycated haemoglobin... 9.1%..(Ref range 3.8 - 5.8%)

I don't have an idea about this but Sabi mamas will come and shook mouth.

I'm at hospital my BP reading is 160 /... I'm worried. 33weeks today. Initially it was 120 then this January was 140 but I was given vasoprin & has reduced to 120 since then. I don't know maybe it's I didn't sleep throughout the night&have been feeling headache, body pain & fatigue since morning. I'm really worried. Pls what can I do? I'm also asked to do glucose test (Fasting test glucose, 2 hrs post prandial & glucose hemoglobin) & redo the BP test in 2days

Mama pls calm down. Worry too can add to it. We are almost at the finishing line. It is well with you and your baby.

We're doing fine o sister. It's just this tummy that is pushing me now & turning from one side of d bed to the other is now very difficult & getting up earlier to prepare for work is something else. Na now I know say our mothers are trying. Pregnancy no be moinmoin. Infact I can't wait to offload this baby. Aside this everything is fine to the glory of God. Hospital bag is packed already. Though I'm still having this little fear of how does labour feel (don't laugh o abeg I be JJC)

We are in the same category even though my tummy is portable but the type of stress I go through everyday ehn with my toddler ehn. She will still insist I carry her with bag and lunch bag and my own bag too. I will now be looking like what I don't know.
Put your mind at rest dear sis, delivery is delivery and differs but I pray ours will be easy and fast with no complication whatsoever in Jesus name.

? Is it up to a week?

I bled for 6 days during my first and after the 6th day, something like yellow liquid for 2 weeks and that was it.

In My hospital list they wrote Dele pad 4 packs. I discovered one packs has 10pcs, pls does it means that I'll that buy that packs (that contains 1pcs) in 4places? Isn't it too much? Thnxx

General hospital abi? That's what they wrote in my list too and lot of unnecessary things like air freshener, insectides, dishwashing liquid and lot of irrelevances. I will only put 2 dele pad if they don't like it, make them throway am.

Thank God I am not the only one oo, I still have to carry my 2 years old couple with the stress but I know our bundles of joy will land safely in Jesus name.
