Kaycee7:lol...okay then... |
Kaycee7:what?...like someone saying 'I don't like transformers because it has giant robots' is preference?...then I can never understand... |
donwizzy7:okay...If you put it that way looking at it like that also makes sense... |
donwizzy7:lol...yeah I don't really understand people who don't like mecha with how epic gundam is...think transformers too...even power rangers sef...they're all awesome...how can you not enjoy it? |
donwizzy7:nope if you read a manga and then watch an anime adaptation of the manga and compare them (their presentation of the basic story/plot) it's either you conclude the manga is better or the anime is better.... E.g Black Clover - the manga is better, Demon Slayer - the anime is better etc... |
Arthurity1:MHA anime has consistently good quality and a lot of short but fantastic fight scenes...unlike BC with a lot of hiccups and inconsistencies and just pockets of greatness... I enjoy BC more but MHA animewise is overall better... Now mangawise they're actually equal and it then boils down to which you enjoy more and for me it's BC... |
Hohenheim:Anime: My hero Academia Manga: Black Clover |
nani667:With J.C Staff handling Edens Zero I've pretty much lost all hope for the fight scenes having MAD animation.... |
Antoinemercer:lmao...you see if you tell GOH fans that their series has no plot their reply (if they don't just insult you and actually respond) would be a long rant about how powerful the characters are, the battles they have, and how much stronger/bigger the characters/battles will be....basically those guys believe high power levels or big battles = good plot... increase in power and by extension battle scale = plot progression...that's why they hype, praise and enjoy it so much... I slugged through hundreds of chapters to get this answer now you have it for free... you're welcome... |
randomShek:Exactly! even some of the best animes - one punch man, attack on titan etc... - actually (in one way or another) have better mangas...only rarely - like demon slayer - do you have animes that surpass their manga and be better... For elfen lied I'll jejely read the manga then... |
randomShek:I have watched/read the anime/manga of the saga of Tanya the evil, the anime is good and ahead of the manga but manga is better, more detailed and funnier/crazier...I haven't seen elfen lied because people say it's really messed up but I guess I'll finally check it out...oh and those mal ratings I discovered they were partially nonsense when I watched a lot of boring/bad animes with high ratings and really good ones were rated lower...since then if I see anything i think I'll enjoy I ignore ratings and just watch...I discovered many hidden gems... |
randomShek:I don't think akame ga kill is a better watch than classroom of the elite...I don't think I can convince you otherwise though...I'd point to their mal ratings but I actually think mal ratings/ratings system is unreliable/flawed (although they're okay guides for finding what to watch sha)...so let's just agree to disagree... PS: I have all the LN volumes of classroom of the elite downloaded since I finished the anime so I'll finally read them to see those deviations/poor execution you mentioned |
Arthurity1:1. and this mindset you have over mine is a problem from the anime because you'd otherwise be glad things turned out well 2. first she ended up with WAVE not Run(being with run would be very weird) and she was as a child subjected to harsh treatments and forcefully given experimental drugs (to enhance her abilities) that she became addicted to which you always see her taking as 'sweets', she was a victim of the empire's crappiness and its because the anime skipped a lot/rushed/completely changed a bunch of her interactions that you think she deserves to die 3. you see on tatsumi dying I can't properly explain why the manga way was much better...so I can only give you the 'go read the manga' retort 4...we thankfully agree (incentive to - not to sound like a broken record - go read the manga) 5. I think in the anime he fell on swords and got stabbed to death...and in the manga got taken out by izou... 6. sorry I meant in the manga...now what I typed makes sense... yes you're right that It's not compulsory anime adaptations must follow the source material like full metal alchemist (2003) it was still a great show but you see the eventual remake which was a faithful adaptation of the source material was much better. You said despite deviations you chose which one you liked better but YOU can't do this because you've only watched the anime and you never read the manga...and night raid members dying - considering their line of work - made perfect sense and it's a realistic thing BUT the way it happened, how they died was just vain and THAT is why it makes no sense... Now finally just read the manga don't say because you don't like the kind variation in events you don't want to read the manga you really should because if you just free your mind on this I'm sure we'll see eye to eye on things... I have read the manga of a bunch of anime I found good (e.g ...reincarnated as a slime) or at least enjoyable (e.g heaven's lost property) and I discovered the animes (compared to their mangas) were actually crap...so just read it's manga then compare it to the anime and see what you think...that's all I can say on this issue |
Kaycee7:Yes! you're completely right, this is a huge point I somehow forgot to mention... you see up to bulat's death was a pure and unadulterated adaptation of the manga, which is why the anime looked so good at first but became crap when it started deviating because it didn't have the kind of character development and depth to the characters like bulat's to make their death actually sad to see... |
randomShek:So from this you're fimplying that classroom of the elite is worse than akame ga kill...and also that it's a much worse adaptation of the source material? |
randomShek:I agree that the second half wasn't as good as the setup in the first half but I don't see how it went downhill or was a waste of time na... |
randomShek:Maybe you watched another classroom of the elites perhaps it was a weird version without ayanokouji and co...otherwise saying what you said makes no sense... |
Bunsenbun:Check my recent reply to Arthurity1 |
Arthurity1:Mad oo just answer what am asking na no need to be vexing brother... Now from your response that you didn't actually read the manga hence know how the anime is actually different from the manga besides their endings of tastumi dying vs turning to a dragon...i properly understand why you don't get how truly shitty the akame ga kill anime is... It's been like 3 years since I read the manga and watched the anime so my memory is a little foggy but from what I can recall... the wahala simply stems from the anime skipping the wild hunt arc alot of characters (champ cosmina enshin Dorothea izou etc... )were introduced in the arc and many of them affect the story the main characters and are central to some plot points... Now imagine what you get with a bunch of characters important to the plot missing...the story completely changed...the anime adaptation is simply put nonsense...the way the anime played out nearly everyone's death was completely stupid and ridiculous it was just death for the sake dying (you sef pointed out that some deaths didn't need to happen)...if you think the anime is good it's because you don't know how truly good the actual story (the manga) is compared to the trash of an adaptation the anime is... To give a glimpse of some differences which makes the stories different and the manga much much better... 1. in the manga mine did not die, she fell into a coma after her teigu got destroyed after killing budo and she eventually Wakes up in the end and was pregnant for tatsumi...which makes tatsumi a freaking CHAD for not wasting time with despite all that was happening and especially considering that mine's a tsundere (to a certain extent this a happy ending for her too) 2. in the manga kurome didn't die, when wave was fighting tatsumi trying to reach kurome who was fighting akame he used two teigus (the other transferred to him by run) simultaneously and was able to reach her stopping the fight he confessed he loved her and convinced her to flee with him until the war was over to live peacefully (they had their happily ever after) 3. in the manga run got his revenge, run was a teacher in a village and his students got murdered by champ he later killed champ with the help of kurome and wave (champ is part of the wild hunt created by syura...the anime completely skips his character not to mention this plot point) 4. In the manga tatsumi didn't die, he discovers that the repeated use of his teigu Incursio has a side effect, his body and his humanity are consumed by a Tyrant (the type of dragon the teigu is made from)...he knows this and had a choice to stop using it and save himself but from all his experience, all that he had gone through he willingly chose to sacrifice his humanity for what he believed in...THE GREATER GOOD...and this is called CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT...and the sense of severity of the kind of decision he made adds a lot to his characterization...the fact that he'll turn to a dragon is something I as viewer attached to the character don't like, tatsumi himself doesn't like it,neither do his friends, but he made a decision to do what needed to be done and this added more respect depth and complexity even to how you see his character...He eventually transforms into a Tyrant but he retains his mind...this gives him a bitter sweet ending in the manga because despite his form he still had mine and his child to live for...unlike the anime's attempt of some stupid heroic death... 5. in the manga Leone didn't just kill honest, she cornered prime minister honest and draged him to the top of the palace she then simply throws him down to the revolutionaries, and he was subjected to the sweet horrific torture he deserved, his punishment was this anybody he had somehow done something bad to directly or indirectly (so basically everyone) went to him where he was tied down then they took a knife and cut out part of his flesh...if you see how many people lined up sef...and the thing is because of all his eating he had a special body build so he didn't die no matter how many people was cutting out his skin but he was feeling the pain... 6. In the manga Lubbock wasn't killed by some faceless grunts, he was captured by the prime minister's son (syura) along with tatsumi but killed syura and while he was escaping the imperial palace he was killed by izou (another member of the wild hunt who was skipped by the anime)...izou is a master swordsman and doesn't even use a teigu just a katana even with half of the wild hunt out of commission syura said he made up for their military strength alone 7. In the anime murasame was destroyed, During the final battle with Esdeath, Akame activates Murasame's Trump card Little War Horn to permanently boost her physical abilities by increasing her density so she can kill Esdeath with her weapon destroyed in the process as a final resort....this trump card activation lays the ground for a sequel plot point... 8.....too many things to go on listing...if i continue I don't know when I will finish typing despite the fact that I've forgotten a bunch of things sef... Finally just give the manga a read... disregard the fact that tatsumi died vs turned into a dragon (which you seem fixated upon) and you'll see what I and everyone else mean when we tell you the akame ga kill anime is shite... PS: to address your last query ( 'does tatsumi turn back to a human only when you read the manga?' ) actually there's a spinoff/sequel manga titled Hinowa ga Yuku! whereby akame uses a herb to momentarily suppress her increased density and seeks to remove Murasame's Trump Card along with a means to restore Tatsumi's humanity... |
Arthurity1:bro...did you read the manga? just answer this simple question first...then I will know the best way to explain just how shity akame ga kill is |
Arthurity1:Again did you read the manga? There's a big difference between knowing how a book ends and reading a book... |
Arthurity1:lol...have you read the manga? |
marsman:ohk... |
iamNegro:u r welcome |
iamNegro:don't touch Akame go kill the anime shite! |
iamNegro:don't touch Akame go kill the anime shite! |
marsman:lmao...that means you've only watched two anime movies...if that's the case first watch some of the following: Your name Promare A silent voice The boy and the beast Rascal does not dream of a dreaming girl (first watch anime 12 eps) Princess momonoke Spirited away Howls moving castle Sword of the stranger Fate/stay night heavens feel Youjo senki movie (first watch anime 12 eps) even the combined 10 naruto/shippuden movies sef (infact do your own research for more anime movies) Then come back and tell us if you still think The my hero movies are the best... |
Fro5t:I slugged through 300 chapters to see what the hype was about but it was just a waste of time and data...now I always doubt the sanity of GOH fans who actually believe the story is good... |
iamNegro:(This is from one of my previous posts) A certain magical index A certain scientific railgun A certain scientific accelerator Are you really the only one who likes me Carole & Tuesday Cop craft Death Parade Dimension W Dorohedoro Dororo Dr. Stone Fate Series Full Metal Alchemist - Brotherhood Gate In/Spectre Is it wrong to try to pick up girls in a dungeon Kakegurui Keep your hands off eizokuen Kemono Michi - rise up Made in Abyss Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid No game No life No game No life - Zero (I really recommend this it's fantastic, my sisters & I were clapping at the end...lol) Noragami Oda Nobuna no Yabou Overlord Princess Principal (I think this one's really underrated) Problem children are coming from another world aren't they? Promare (movie) Rascal does not dream of bunny girl senpai Rascal does not dream of a dreaming girl (movie) Seton Academy - join the pack (I found this as hilarious as gintama, yes it's that funny) Space patrol luluco (it's a mini series by trigger weird at first but it turns out to be very enjoyable) Sword of the stranger (Bones movie, it feels grounded to reality and has fantastic action sequences) That time I got reincarnated as a slime The promised Neverland The rising of the shield hero The saga of Tanya the evil Violet Evergarden We still don't know the name of the flowers we saw that day (if you want to feel kinda sad/depressed then watch this) Welcome to Demon School! iruma-kun (people are still sleeping on this its pretty fun) |
Fro5t:well I haven't watched both animes yet (because I want to binge watch) but I've read their manga/manhwa and I can confidently say the so called trashy isekai power fantasy is much much better than the never ending, what is plot, write the story as you go, asspull plagued tournament arc.... |
Mark23:yeah this is true I remember being a HUGE jujutsu kaisen fan myself up to the vs mahito arc(around CH 30 or so)...but from the Kyoto goodwill event arc I started loosing interest in it and I didn't even get why people kept thinking it was getting better but I kept going anyways because of my attachment at the beginning...but I kept growing disinterested with each new chapter (except that chapter when itadori's fat middle school classmate turned babe showed up...it was a fun one part of the reason I kept going) until It reached chapter 100 and I finally dropped it because at that point reading was a chore...I don't think it's bad just wasn't interesting to me anymore...but I'm still looking forward to the anime since it'll adapt the part of the manga I enjoyed and maybe even pique my interest in the series again... |
