Rugaria: Seriously, did I disappoint you? How? Lots of people quoted me angrily over this comment, but I really felt yours! Did I offend you? Can we talk over this? Let me try to explain;
To me, It's never an issue of hatred for iislam. I don't want to throw in that normal line of "having so many Muslim friends", but I have lived briefly in a Muslim country'. Here, as far as I'm concerned, It's an issue of ideology and how certain ideological foundations model a society's outlook to life going forward. When it comes to issues related to the assimilation/modernisation of culture/cultural instruments, one/societies should gravitate towards areas that display remarkable improvements to the behavioural pattern already in place..
To me, sincerely speaking, Sharia and purdah and all that stuffs about amputations..., coupled with the rioteous way, the restless wahabi sect in northern Nigeria has practicalised these are overwhelmingly frightening.., I have to be very straightforward with you, I'm not a fan... I hate any arrangements that tends to cage the abilities of a gender, a race, an ethnic group etc from accessing certain goals in life. If we followed such beliefs in the east, where will the likes of iweala, Adichie, Akunyili, Ezekwesili and co be? I look at Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Doha....,etc, I see something interesting.
These are Islamic societies whose beliefs are attuned to modernisation/urbanization..., Then I look at the almajiri mayhem in Kano, the Boko madness in Borno and the fanatical Islamic onslaught against the over traumatized population of southern Kaduna, and my defense mechanism automatically kicks in... I don't know whether you are a Muslim, but my intention wasn't to insult.. just that as an Igbo man, I can only accept a new cultural trend that improves what is on ground.. BTW, this is not just restricted to Islam! There are many aspects of Catholicism and penticostalism that I find utterly revolting! Yet, I'm a Christian... Thanks for your amicable reply...I'm glad I just misunderstood what you really meant...looking back on your first comment now I'm guessing you meant that people shouldn't be shocked about it and not that they shouldn't be indignant about it, right?...now to your current reply, yes I'm a Muslim and I agree with you about Sharia purdah and the likes...I honestly believe that Sharia first with respect to personal life shouldn't be used as absolute law but should rather be a personal commitment of a Muslim if for example a Muslim sleeps with someone they aren't married to, drinks alcohol etc why flog him/her if the person has sinned it's their personal cross to bear jejely leave them to live their life how they wish and since they aren't a menace/nuisance to society with such actions it's none of your business... honestly a bunch of Sharia laws such as something like apostasy (the way it's ignorantly interpreted today) is very ridiculous to me (it's actually a punishment meant for treason not simply renouncing faith) and further more most of this laws are outdated and archaic and just can't work in modern societies...the major problem is that as Muslims we believe that "Islam is a perfect religion" and alot of people misconstrue this into meaning that the laws of nearly a thousand and half years ago are still 'perfect' even today BUT this is obviously incorrect and you need look no further than slavery to verify this, if it was left to the Sharia slave trade would still be perfectly lawful and widespread, I as a black man would most likely be the property of someone...and this simple fact proves that many laws in Sharia can and should be scrapped since it can lead to the betterment of society and humanity as a whole...the sooner the so called Islamic countries (most of which are obvious hypocrites seeing as how most shamelessly supported the persecution of the Uighurs in China despite carrying religion on top head like gala) and our so called Islamic scholars realizes this the sooner the whole world can properly move forward...anyways let me stop here before it outright becomes a rant...I'll just end it by saying you should probably try to clearly state what you mean to avoid future misunderstandings...(that's if I've misunderstood like I believe I have)... |

Rugaria: There are no churches in Saudi Arabia.. while I was doing my youth service in a remote part of Kano, when we requested for a place to worship as Christians, the sariki or so, gave us a very useless old hut that was biult on top of the place the community used as garbage dump! We were forced to use that and whenever we come for worship, the locks are broken and evidence of all sorts of vices done there while we were away litter every nook and cranny of the whole place. ..it was so dehumanizing.. Could be that you guys are trying to inflame passion, but to what end? Islam is alien to the east. There is a wide gulf between the two and that's not changing anytime soon.. like are you the one who wrote this?... you're justifying what happened?... I thought you were a reasonable and logical person... turns out you're no different from the countless religious/ethnic bigots here...how disappointing smh... |

randomShek: Lol. I checked it out and it seems to be having pacing/ world building issues currently.
It’s popular so I’ll give it a try well bro I read the first season - 155 chapters - and as someone who wasted his time and data to reach point I simply advice you not to bother...see don't fall for a series being popular meaning it's good...it's like god of highschool it's very popular but it's nonetheless trash...I wasted my life on 300 chapters of it only to arrive at that conclusion...but you can still go ahead on reading unOrdinary to personally experience the crappiness... PS: If you need more manga recommendations let me know I have a fair sized library of recommendations I can give you... |

SSpeter: I blame france. Muslims can't try shit in China. In China Muslims are kept in labour camps. Myanmar have dealt crazily with the rohinga Muslims. Japan is one of the most peaceful countries guess what? They do not tolerate Islam. There is no mosque in Japan and no Islamic country has an embassy there. With time Europe will seat up and deal with the mess they created Bro calm down with your hatred blinded lies...Muslims aren't kept in camps in China it's the Uighur Muslims who are unfortunately in that predicament simply due to China's shittiness and paranoia because they speak a different language from Chinese, aren't fully aligned with China's communist nonsense and their land is oil rich and key to the silk and belt road. there's no justification for what China is doing to Uighur Muslims if anyone defends China that person is indisputably insane...Myanmar 'dealt' with Rohingya people not Rohingya Muslims, the Rohingyas are predominantly Muslims what was done to them was a genocide the same thing that happened at lekki but much worse and brutal if most of them being Muslims makes anyone believe that the genocide is okay then that person is obviously insane...lastly yes Japan is one of the most peaceful countries in the world but your claim that they don't have any mosques there is a bare faced lie there are up to 80 mosques in Japan with the Tokyo camii mosque being the largest, there are multiple so called Islamic countries with embassies in Japan be it Palestine, Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan they are located in minato city, a simple Google search can help you verify...so please stop your unnecessary hatred for Muslims/islam simply because a few mad people who happen to be Muslims (less than 0.001% of Muslims) are showcasing their madness... |

Hello everyone in this house, Please if you live in Nigeria especially, read and follow the instructions.. PLEASE CHECK ON YOUR PHONE TO KNOW IF YOUR LINE IS BEEN MONITORED.. THE STEPS ARE VERY SIMPLE.
This is very informative!! They can be monitoring your calls, data and texts.
Please dial *#61# on your phone to know if your phone number(s)/line(s) is(are) being monitored!
When you dial the code (*#61#), it will show whether your calls or fax or data are been forwarded / monitored or not.
If it shows "Call/data/fax Forwarded" that confirms that your phone number/line is being monitored!.
If it shows "Not forwarded" it means u are safe. If it is forwarded pls dial ##002# to remove the _"monitoring device" from that phone number/line!
Then, no Secret security agent can ever monitor your line again. We are not under military government or in a police state. Please do this for ALL your phone numbers/ lines
PLEASE SHARE SO OTHERS CAN GET INFORMED DO IT NOW. I only tried this because airtel suddenly stole all my data and I wasn't doing anything heavy...turned out I was being monitored...

Studios are not monolithic entities they have different teams for different animes...to make my point clear J.C staff animated stuff like railgun and danmachi the former has pretty good animation and the later has at least decent animation.... but they did stuff like one punch man 2, index III etc which were awful...so you get what I'm saying...of course there are exceptions like bones, kyoani etc that never disappoints but MAPPA isn't one the 'never disappoints' studios...I don't mean to be pessimistic just don't be too optimistic to avoid stories that touch... |
