better talk from a wise man.. obstead200: seriously u have a point. At my level in life, if I start hustling to travel out, it won't be because I need to make money. I am not rich but I am definitely highly contented with what I have. If I need to immigrate, it will be because I desire a better future for my children If I have to do a demeaning job, (as far as it is honest and will at least cover my basic expenses) to guarantee a secured future for my kids (education and security wise especially), I will gladly do it oooo.
When I get old and my kids are well established in a sane society, I can return to Nigeria, I already have a house, I can start farming or take up a contract employment just to keep busy until oluwa calls me home.
I will die as a fulfilled and happy man.
God when Abeg just see my heart and make way for me to leave this country. No be money i dey find oo. Just a future for my kids. |

Alright. Thank you steroid: If you have a bachelors in business computing, I think a career in business analysis will be good for you. business analysis is a rewarding career path. I am sure the "Trades" that was referred to is "Skilled Trades" That is careers like Plumbing, welding, Mechanic, Carpentry etc. These are also very rewarding. Employers are always looking out for people with theses skills. Although they can be physically demanding, their starting pay are usually high. Search google for more information on in-demand jobs in Canada and decide on any of the available options. |

Thank you so much. I have a bachelor's degree in applied business computing. My motivation is building and having a sustainable career. I want to be financially stable as well so I don't mind any advice on a professional career to pursue. I came here seeking information from people like you that have been there, experienced it, and being successful in what you do. I don't think nursing is for me. I have no clue about trading either. I will appreciate if you can shed more light on your professional journey here in Canada. I'm sorry if I'm asking too much though, I don't want to make a mistake that will cost me time and money again. I've had sleepiness night to save some money and I needed to invest it wisely on a rewarding career. I've thought about CAPM or PMP certificate in project management, but I need to gather the right information. Praia: Let me begin by saying; I hear you.
If your don't mind, what discipline is your bachelors? I completely agree on not rushing to do a Masters degree. In Nigeria, having a master's degree is seen as some sort of achievement and the way to go. However, that is not the case in Canada - unless your career is such that requires it for growth.
Education asides, what is/are your interest(s)? Have you considered having a career in Trades or Nursing or some other profession that may not be 'fly' but income and sustainability is guaranteed?
If your motivation towards getting a Masters degree is personal gratification, then by all means do so. However, if your motivation is having a sustainable career where you can earn a good income, then it's time to be practical.
So far, my professional journey in Canada has taken a path that I never imagined. My present industry is a complete opposite of my intended industry when I landed, but truth be told I am happy where I am and financially content. |

Thank you for your words of encouragement. I do appreciate. I know God has a plan for me but still I need to do my part. I'm just trying to avoid mistakes that will cost me time and money but guess I have to look out for skills I have already as you mentioned and try to figure out my next plans. Winterpeg: Hi, Things do not go the way we plan sometimes but i am glad you are still grateful for where you are. I believe you should look at the skills you already have and probably you should think about what you will like to go into. Whatever career you choose will determine what pathway you will take, whether its going to be university or professional certificate. I know i might not have helped much but God has a plan for everyone. |

Good day House, I've been a silent reader of this great platform. please house, what course can I possibly do here in Canada that will give me a good career. I have met and spoken to some people that said I shouldn't go to Uni to do a master's program, that it's a waste of money. some are of the opinion that a professional certificate course is better. I'm just confused now. I recently applied for my PR. I hope to get till before the end of the year so I can start a master's degree course as a home student next year, but my dilemma now is I don't even know what degree course to study or the next line of action to take in my career. I work as a security guard but I'm never happy, I should be doing better. I'm grateful for where I am now though but I read of people doing good jobs and doing great in this country. Please any advice is welcome. Thank you |

Romance › Re: I Have A Boyfriend But I'm Falling In Love With Someone Else. by Kvdag(m): 5:22am On Jun 09, 2020 |
I love to read comments like this...Spot on Dobson43:

I would give you a mature advice since that's what you want. Your present boyfriend is just your boyfriend. He is not betrothed to you neither has he paid your dowry. Don't limit yourself at this stage of your life. Experiment, try new things, discover yourself. If you feel the urge to move on, do move on. You clearly have a thing for this guy and one can conclude that all you need is a push.
Based on your level in the university, one can determine your age. Some callous folks would call this stage you find yourself a whøre phase, but the true is we all have this identity crisis. We do not actually know ourselves. Certain people we see typify those characters we do have but can't express. They inspire this qualities in us to be birthed.
I don't want to go too philosophical, but I am going to tell you this: twenty years from now, you would wish you were more adventurous, you would wish you tried new things and you would understand that life is worth living and you would not allow yourself wallow in bondage because you are in relationship. Ships are supposed to move you in a certain desired direction. Either it moves you or you jump ship.
But the real truth is, you have broken his heart and emotionally screwed him over. Have the decency to break it up |
