More than 70 percent of your posts on Nairaland has been dedicated to promoting Gbadamosi's governorship ambition,

If you weren't on the pay list or if you aren't Gbadamosi himself, why else are you so tad desperate?. . huh?

Lie/hate on Gbadamosi? are you smoking spinach?. . . .the dude is not even "hate-worthy"!. . . he better get back to his farming business, PDP is going down!

What does "why else are you so tad desperate?" mean? Has your poverty so benumbed your brains that you cannot even construct correct sentences in English anymore? Your desperation to attack this Gbadamosi fellow at every opportunity is making some us begin to wonder whether there's more to the guy sef, and we've been monitoring his site.

Me, I've heard him speak on television, and I'm sure he's real and sincere. Fashola does not even come close to this guy's grasp of the issues and his suggestions dealing with them. From the opposition to him on this page, it seems he's the man to beat. I've already decided to vote for him. Now, because of people like you, who are being paid by Fashola to wash his underwear, I'm going to paste things from his facebook page to this site,

It is very wrong for an economic and financial watchdog to be dependent on the executive to begin with. . .EFCC ought to ba an independent body with leadership appointed by a panel of Judges

Which judges? The $3,000,000 per judgement ones, a la Ekiti and Osun election appeal courts, or which ones? The whole system has been corrupted by ill gotten money, and everyone's getting it! They are preparing the ground for either a popular revolution, or a bloody uprising. They think people are blind because they pay the press and professional bloggers to fight their cause in deceiving the people. God, however, is not mocked. The day of reckoning is moving closer.

When I stated here some weeks ago that this Gbadamosi guy is the real deal, some people laughed. Oh boy, I taya for Naijarians o. Just check that conversation. The man is proving his point very clear. No long ting.

He has been on television and radio a lot since that time. Whoever has watched him or listened to him talk will understand what I was trying to say. It is a long time since I ever heard a Nigerian politician talk like he talks. He is direct and blunt, and states exactly the facts. He clearly knows exactly what he's talking about, and appears to be more knowledgeable than even Fashola. If this guy had contested in 2007, make no mistake, he would have used both Fashola and Jimi Agbaje, even plus Koro, to wipe the floor.

Are you dumb? I bet you had no serious form of formal education, you must have been drawn by his pathetic copy and pasted statistics and verbal jargon. . .you sound like our great grandparents who got bought into slavery with mirrors and red wines.

I bet folks like you can't bring up your own line of reasoning, a governor promises to fix Lagos roads by using contractors that only work at night and you believe this?. . .dumb!

Have you even questioned his ability to lead effectively?. . .how many people has he led in his lifetime? a thousand?.

here's a thread culled from facebook where someone screwed your savior hands down in an argument, and guess what, he deleted all of em! hehe

https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?topic=545240.msg7076597#msg7076597

Gbomo gbomo, or is it Jomo, no disrespect intended, but you would appear to be the dumb one here. You obviously haven't seen the hardship inflicted on the people of Epe, Ibeju-Lekki and Eti-Osa by Hi-Tech construction Ltd, who refuse to do any serious work at night, and choose to work only when the whole world can see them, playing to the gallery, and thereby causing 4-5 hour traffic jams on that road.

If you'd experienced that, e for make sense say mek contractor dey work for night only. At least, na dis Lagos we dey when Julius Berger do Adeola Odeku, Bourdillon/Gerrard and Awolowo Road, wey we dey wake up every morning see another new tin wey dem bin do overnight.

Mr jombo, abeg go siddon for dorti. The thread you brought up does not in any way indicate a victory for your friend. If anything, it proves my point, because in the last post, when your friend had run out of points, he became a pastor, quoting Judas and Jesus.

We are not fooled by you paid Fashola guns. We know all of you, and when the time comes, we will vote out your lame duck "administrative, but not political" governor, who has abdicated his political responsibility to the Asiwaju of all gangsters. Lagos needs a politician to lead, and Fashola has said he isn't one. What the hell is he still doing there? Serving Asiwaju's insatiable appetite for public funds, of course. Yeye dey smell. Na all of una we go sweep comot with dat una dorti broom!!

Actually, I think it's you that's trying too hard. You mention an argument which in your opinion, the man lost, but you conveniently fail to give us a link, because even if he deleted and blocked you, the main post will still be there.

Not only that, I've actually watched Gbadamosi face two wiseguys from Ekiti, who clearly thought they were coming to face a buffoon in Lagos on TVC. The man floored them both with his grasp of the issues in the Ekiti council wahala, as well as his superior eloquence. Oh boy, I laff tire.

At one point, he asked Fayemi's lawyer whether the man would encourage people to ignore the law and do their own thing. The man was tongue tied. Going from what you posted here, you must have been really rude in your comments for him to delete and even BAN you from his page. You come hear begin dey boast say you win argument with Gbadamosi Taa!! Forget. The man will floor you completely, and I say this based on his facebook page, and the one or two times I've heard him on radio, and watched him on Silverbird and TVC.

dlox01:

@ experts, u try too hard.
there are tens of people on NL that have better plans for lagos,so his manifesto is nothing new to many.
you say nice ideas? what ideas? most of what he is based on is already established. it might not be top notch for now but it will be if we all play our roles.
i asked this 'script called gBADamosi' questions on facebook and he challenged me to an argument and lost, i got the most 'likes ' he has ever seen in his BAD life,so, as a BAD sports man he blocked me and deleted some of my posts. This 'script' cant take intense arguments trust me, i proved it to him, BRF has larger followers and critics than he can and ever will have but handles issues more maturely.
you should hear this clown call people names on his FB page and deletes them, what you see on his page are filtered(the 2% that have stood the time of delusion). i accidentally met with a few other people he barred on FB and they really expressed their disgust.
he posted on FB that he would build cheaper roads and put BRT on every road in lagos, i told him he would need at least 4 lanes on each side so how is it going to be achievable without demolishing peoples properties and compensating them and when that is done, would the roads really be cheaper? small thing o, the guy starts telling me i am a tinubu follower and iv been bought over and many insults, i just told him instead of insulting me he should point out his facts, HE COULD NOT!!! one thing you dont know is this, he reads off a script, his interviews are not freestyle, he prepares what he should be asked so anything that is thrown towards him apart from the questions prepared then hes lost,
ive talked to better politicians 1 on 1, agbaje, Fashola, pleeeeeasseee abegi,

[b]Gbadamosi for Governor 2011 The 443km Bamenda to Enugu International Highway is costing Cameroun and Nigeria $413m (N62b) or N140m/km, but the expansion of part and resurfacing of most of the existing Lekki-Epe Expressway is allegedly costing N50b or N1b/km. N50 billion can clearly do more than just add 2 lanes to an existing dual-carriageway. Waste will be eliminated in my administration. Eko o ni baje, ju bayi lo!

Gbadamosi for Governor 2011 Financially speaking, whatever the cost, it is not within the realms of engineering for the Bamenda-Enugu road to cost just 14% of the Lekki-Epe Expressway per kilometre. Somebody, somewhere is lying, and I'm inclined to believe it's the builders of the N1 billion per kilometre road, given my own personal experience in the construction industry.

Kabura Zakama I also know that the cost of one key street in Abuja may build hundreds of kilometers of across a state like say, Adamawa! Except I am told that there will no infrastructure such as drainages, street lighst, bus stops for BRT, etc, then I am inclined to believe that your comparison is faulty!
25 minutes ago · Like ·
Gbadamosi for Governor 2011 Your Abuja/Adamawa analogy is actually quite wrong, as both territories are not completely dissimilar in terrain. Drainage is a given in the construction of highways, and at any rate, the Lekki-Epe Expressway is not a new construction. It is simply a single-lane expansion on either side for just 23 of the 49.4 kilometres, with mere resurfacing for the remainder 26.4 kilometres.

Bus-Stops and street lights (hybrid solar/wind street lights cost about N650k each, double headed). This road will require about 1976 of them, spaced at about 25m intervals each and it will therefore cost a total of N1.284 billion to light the entire 49.4km, without the need to burn diesel, as is being done on Western Avenue axis right now.

Let's assume a 2 kilometre interval between bus stops, with each bus shelter costing about N5 million. That is a total of 50 bus shelters on both sides at the cost of N250 million in total. Add that to the cost of the lights, and you have just over N1.5 billion.

Assuming that this is not an expansion, and is a totally new road. Let us allow for 100% inflation of the cost of the Bamenda-Enugu road, bringing it from N140m per km to N280m per km. That still gives us only a total of N13.8 billion, plus the N1.5 billion for your bus-stops and street lights, only comes to a little over N15 billion, which, some engineers have agreed would be a more agreeable cost for the road.

I hope the foregoing has enlightened you somewhat.

I happen to know the PPPRA man, Rasheed Gbadamosi, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti's best friend when he was alive. Babatunde Gbadamosi is definitely too old to be his son. I know his eldest son from way back in Ijanikin. I think Babatunde is probably a relation of his, going from the facial resemblance and the fact that they're both from Ikorodu. Meanwhile, Rasheed Gbadamosi is a self-made man o! Youngest commissioner in Nigeria from back in the early 70s, serial industrialist and banker.

I heard that they actually begged him to set up the PPPRA thing for the Federal Government, because they were looking for a honest person to run it. If he had stolen money there, I don't think Obj would have let him get away with it. Look at the way he dealt with Tafa Balogun and Sunday Afolabi.

I read Babatunde's story in Next newspaper, and I think it's in the Sun too. The guy is also a self-made man too. Not ashamed to say he did blue collar jobs in England before becoming a success. Apparently stayed there for 17 years. That's enough for anyone to become successful, if they're blessed, determined and focused.

Abeg don't just make allegations about people unless you can prove them o. This guy is clean. I've checked him out, and he is spotless. Don't even believe me. Just google his name, and you'll understand. He is the closest to the real deal me I've seen in a naija politician for a long time.

Guys, there IS something about this Gbadamosi guy. It wasn't just about grammar. There was a passion I haven't seen in any Nigerian politician for a long time. Yes, he had his stats, but there was something about the way he made his case that told me the guy will deliver. I can't convince you, but I suggest you all look out for him on TV. I'd been seeing his face in the papers, but because he's from PDP, I never gave him a second thought. Omo, PDP or not, this guy has got my vote o! Politics / Is It True Ade Dosunmu Is Actually Running For Office? by labalaba4: 2:39pm On Oct 20, 2010
because if he is, we're between the devil and the deep blue sea. Don't PDP have other aspirants?

http://www.jangola.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=760:lagos-pdp-guber-aspirant-ade-dosunmu-in-alleged-n10b-fraud&catid=44:politics&Itemid=164

It is no longer news that the tenure of Dr. Ade Dosunmu as the Director-General of Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) ended on a sour note with the series of crises that characterised his tenure before he was booted out of office. But what many people didn`t know is the fact that the former Director-General who is now one of the Peoples Democratic Party gubernatorial aspirants in Lagos State soiled his hands with the funds of the agency which was said to be in the region of N300m.

It was gathered that Dosunmu who rose to the post of Director—General of NIMASA was said to have dipped his hands into the coffers of the Agency and before one could say Dosunmu the money had gone up to high heavens. This bothered those who were in the know as to what and how it actually happened.

What baffled so many people was that when the Saraki Senate Committee on Maritime

Transport which probed the fraud invited Ade Dosunmu over his involvement in the scandal, he was alleged not to have said anything tangible as per how the millions developed wings and flew away from the purse of the Agency.

Also, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on September 20th of July 2009 interrogated Dr. Ade Dosunmu for about four hours over alleged fraud, gathered that the grilling followed petitions to the EFCC by some Maritime stakeholders over the alleged award of fictitious contracts. Further learnt that the petitioners based their claims on the report of the House of Representatives Committee on Anti-Corruption, National Ethics and values which confirmed over N10 billion fraud in the Agency while Dosunmu was in charge. The Committee, headed by Alhaji Sabo Nakudu, had probed the Agency in December of 2009.

Earlier, the Senate Committee on Maritime Transport had threatened not to approve this year`s budget proposal for NIMASA because of the Agency`s inability to justify last year`s budget. Though, Dosunmu told the EFCC in his statement that he did not steal NIMASA`s fund while in office and that he discharged his duties creditably. Right now Dosunmu is one of the big spenders among the gubernatorial candidates of the PDP in Lagos State who are ready to pay the alleged N100m bribe being demanded by the party elders and was alleged to have budgeted N500m to prosecute the party`s primaries.

By the way, Pictures of the governor no longer works(some of us are sick and tired of the many pictures linking Lagos to most everything Lagos is not actually linked to . . .lol ) . . . we need serious numbers and possibly pictures of actual documents.

I will try to get the ACTUAL documents, Lagos end, but I doubt if the people involved will want them on the net, because the leak would be immediately traceable to them, and we know how brutal our friends can be.

One tack we want to follow is leaking this information to the UK tabloids, who might hopefully, on the news value of the EPL being enmeshed in a corruption scandal in a developing country, along with JP Morgan, one of the world's top banks, investigate and publicise it, forcing the CPS and the SFU to investigate and seek the prosecution of all indicted parties.

Something tells me JP Morgan will be VERY forthcoming, since they don't want to lose their FSA licence. And so, eventually will Skye Bank, despite early resistance, once they know that the game is up internationally.

Reserve your tongue wagging and insults to pple of your like. Instead of you discussing the issue on ground objectively and constructively, you take advantage to show your bias mind against Fashola. We are talking about borehole and its potability vis-a-vis government perception, views and plans, youre talking about govt stealing. Why not leave that for the right topic. Fashola is not so silly to make a decision without proper strategies put in place. Governance isnt bread and butter, its easy to criticize and condemn thats what we know how to do in Nigeria. I practiced journalism for 10years before retiring to my business, i have come to realize our people's action to the govt. We see them as stand bye enemies, its acceptable where you have insensitive govt., but try to adjust as we are seeing the dividends of democracy. If youre given the mantle you'll realize its not bread and butter. If you have opinion, suggest to the govt., if they make mistake criticize constructively if they are in the middle of a decision as we have with this borehole issue, send signal of your objections rather than curses and condemnation.
We are here to rub minds not flex muscles.

Let me guess: Your "business" is PR consultancy, and this post right here is part of it. In your journalism practice, you learnt how to manufacture evidence where there is none, abi? Isn't that the hallmark of you HIRED PENS?

Has not virtually every Fashola decision in his administration been about raising revenue? How has that revenue, so raised, had any significant impact on the lives of the people of Lagos state beyond vacuous sloganeering, the mind-numbing hero-worshipping by the media and the ceaseless bleating by the political come-chop brigade?

I read somewhere that the Fashola brigade sounds like the sheep in Animal Farm, constantly bleating "Two Legs Good, Four Legs Bad", even in the face of clear evidence to the contrary.

The efforts of Fashola and his PR/Media consultancy crew to brainwash the people of Lagos and indeed Nigeria has succeeded to a point, but it is beginning to unravel, because people like me will never allow ourselves to be sold an alternate reality completely at variance with the one we see on the ground in Lagos.

Infrastructure is collapsing before our very eyes, political assassinations have become a tool of governance (Funso Williams, Dipo Dina, Nurudeen Olowopopo, Hakeem Onipede, Bode Abdullai, Saka Saula - all victims of the Tinubu/Fashola Killer Squad), hospitals now function as consulting clinics for the private hospitals of publicly employed staff, collapsing school buildings are being propped up and whitewashed instead of rebuilt, exposing millions of innocent children to needles danger, the list is almost endless. Yet, somehow, Fashola continues to be the media's favourite. The reason is very simple: The publicity he gets is Per Second Billing. Some of us had always known, anyway, but Steve Ayorinde, an insider, has confirmed it, and they haven't been able to find the balls to take him to court for libel, because they know the allegations he made were not wild or frivolous. They are founded on FACT, and will not fail if tested in an open court, so, they resort to media defense as usual. The man has accused them of buying Man of the Year awards at N25 m each; of giving slush funds to the tune of N183 m to a consortium of top editors; these are serious allegations bordering on clear financial impropriety at best and naked corruption at worst, yet, they can't sue to redeem their names.

Finally, could you provide any evidence of where I insulted anyone in my posts, you cretin? I merely stated facts, and what I believe should happen to the perpetrators of some of the worst crimes ever committed by public officers in Nigerian political history. Their collaborators in the media too will go to jail. Mark my words.

The "certificate" will be their "compromise" position after all the expected hue and cry from the public.

I've told you people severally that AC are gangsters, una no gree. Some people here on this site, like Tpiah, Babapupa and Paddylo will continue to believe that the sun shines out of Fashola's rectum, even if he shits on them. My suspicion is that they and other Fashola supporters on this site DO NOT ACTUALLY LIVE IN LAGOS.

FASHOLA MUST GO, TO JAIL, ALONG WITH YEKINI AMODA OGUNLERE, A.K.A. BOLA AHMED TINUBU!!

Here comes that fall back position I alluded to earlier. These people are so predictable!!

Dis Guy:

Well instead of banning, how about the govt requiring people to produce a certificate of some sort for boreholes drilled in new developments of areas with specific problems

I thought access to clean water was an issue of Human Right, you cant ban people from helping themselves when you are not yet providing an alternative, the govt can make borehole drillers get certificate for every well they drill just like construction companies employing qualified Building engineers

That's where they were going all along. Just so people can pay for those certificates - through the nose, of course. Infrastructure Development Fee, anyone?

Ultimately for these goons, it's all about money.

@Kesley:
You don't want to compare 80's to 2010 and yet you compare N/J and N/Y to Lagos. I know and do ply the toll on Turnpike so often when i'm there and there is alternate road.
So, tell me if there's no alternate road to the toll on NJ/NY and, if the area is predorminantly occupied by villager who relied most on agricultural produce and fishing.

The Fashola Houseboys Club won't answer that. No time in between sucking Fashola's stewpid azz and kissing his balls. Anytime Fashola moves his lips, they climax, these people. You won't get a rise out of them on this one, abi, Paddylo?
