PoliticsRe: The Real Hero Of Biafra War by LabDNA: 10:27am On Mar 27, 2020
We do not disagree but Gowon and his de facto 'VP' Awolowo were the villains, one is dead with self-poisoning while the other is still running around organizing 'prayerfests' to atone for his sins while his village in the middlebelt is burnt to the ground by the fulanis he served.

PoliticsRe: Buhari Directs NCDC To Recall Retired Staff by LabDNA: 9:17am On Mar 27, 2020
abnot:
I wont advice any of them to return. During the ebola outbreak in 2014 non of the NCDC staff were paid. They were promised to be paid but as NCDC had no money as at then. They also refused to disengage the workers during the ebola crisis. Consequently, the pioneer members of staff worked for free for up to one year and were never paid. Isaac Adewole (HMH) and Chikwe (MD/DG NCDC) were appointed later on but refused to resolve the matter of payment. MOst of these pioneer staff were diasporas who had returned to nigeria to build the agency. Most of them have since returned to their base. I know one of them who returned to Denmark to practice medicine. I know another who returned to USA. Her case was even more pathetic as she had to stand at wuse market to sell her children's clothing to be able to raise money to buy a flight ticket to USa (she had dual citizenship Nigeria/USA) . She is now gainfully employed at the US PublicHealth Service.
They are now looking for people to use again .
I'm sorry but I don't believe the bolded.

i know sey dis ur story no go complete if u never mention pastors.
The truth is the truth, many ignorant Nigerians will spend 200K, N1 million, even N5 million at fake herbal healing homes and fake pastors churches but tell the same ignoramus to bring out N10,000 for proper wellness diagnostic laboratory investigations to detect whatever ailment they might have, they'll resist it, some will even start shouting and go away.

My reply to them is always 'go and keep wasting your money on your fake pastors and 'staphylococcus' herbal merchants.'

Ignorance is costly, I can't run a diagnostic laboratory center in places where people are largely illiterate and ignorant even if you dash me the office space for free.
PoliticsRe: Kaduna Repatriates 3,000 Almajiris, Shuts Down Beggars’ Home by LabDNA: 7:24am On Mar 27, 2020
nextstep:
I need this better parsed, because I can only derive three meanings from it:

1. Some Almajiri boys from Enugu, Jigawa, etc. (residing in Kaduna) were provided transport to return to their origins in Enugu, Jigawa, etc.
OR
2. Some Almajiri residing in Enugu, Jigawa, etc, were provided transport to leave Enugu, Jigawa, etc so they can return to their origins (unspecified)
OR
3. Some other residents of Kaduna (not Almajiri boys), were also given transport to return to Enugu.

The first doesn't make sense because Enugu - like all Southern states, do not practice Almajiri and send their kids there.
The second doesn't either because AFAIK, Enugu does not host such schools, and why would Kaduna gov't pay to move anybody from Enugu?
The third could make sense, but it's outside the context of the news (which specifically mentions Almajiri boys)

The inclusion of Jigawa, Katsina, Zamfara, Bauchi, Nasarawa makes sense in the context. However, the inclusion of Enugu doesn't - and needs clarification if indeed it's not a typographical/editing/intentional error.
Or provided them transport to Enugu street, and saminaka in Kaduna.
PoliticsRe: Kaduna Repatriates 3,000 Almajiris, Shuts Down Beggars’ Home by LabDNA: 7:20am On Mar 27, 2020
They had to add Enugu so that they can deceive Nigerians. That they mentioned Enugu first is not a coincidence.

Who will cure you of your anti-Igbo rabies. It seems you hopeless buffons believe it is 'patriotic' to insult Ndigbo but if Igbos retaliates it becomes 'tribalism'.

Nigerians are being undertested for this virus, that's probably why number is still at double digits.

Many Nigerians have this virus and are currently spreading the disease unknowingly.

Many of these leaders, politicians and bourgeoise need to die. They never learn anything at all.

Other countries where things are even easier are giving out free bail-outs and stipends to businesses and households but CBN is only interested in hawking loan facilities with their usual stringent bureaucracies that will eventually end up making the rich ones, even richer.

Hopeless apes! Let Covid-19 kill everyone of you.
HealthRe: COVID-19: FG Deploys Nigerian Researchers To Search For Cure by LabDNA: 3:07pm On Mar 26, 2020
They are not ready yet. If they are ready to tackle the virus, they would have added MLSCN Scientists in the research team to develop testing kits and vaccine with the InVitro Diagnostics infrastructure at the disposal of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria in Yaba.

There are many Medical Scientists who are specialists in Medical Microbiology, Virology and Immunology. Now is the time to encourage them to deploy their laboratory and research skills but you keep playing politics with the lives of Nigerians.

Go to Noguchi Memorial Medical Research Laboratory in Legon, Ghana. Ghanian Medical Laboratory Scientists are already answering most of the research questions on the Covid-19 scourge with their superb laboratory and astute research skills.

Continue playing stupid politics with the lives of Nigerians. You guys hardly learn to do right, even when lives are at stake.

The Ghana Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists (GAMLs) is advising its members to withdraw from environments where personal protective equipment (PPEs) are unavailable for the discharge of their duties.

There are reports that some major hospitals lack basic personal protective equipment like face masks, sanitizers, and gloves.

The President of the Association, Dr. Ignatius Awinibuno called on the government to adequately resource front line officers.

“A lot of our members lack basic PPE’s and basic sample collection procedures. We have a lot of stake in the system now and I think the Minister of Environment in collaborations with the profession can validate and use at our borderline at the borders of Ghana. In situations, infections are very cautious so it is the duty of management to under the labour Act to provide whatever equipment needed and protective equipment that employees need to be able to perform their duties,” he said in an interview.

The Association in a separate statement urged its members to strictly adhere to good laboratory practices.

“All laboratory managers and supervisors must ensure that PPEs are available for use by all staff, most especially when dealing with suspected COVID-19 patients,” the statement added.

“Government is encouraged to continue to resource the two testing facilities – the Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research in Tropical Medicine and the Noguchi Memorial Institute of Medical Research, to adequately perform testing on suspected COVID-19 patients,” GAMLs added in the statement.

The Association also urged Government to “immediately explore the possibilities of collaborating with researchers at the Universities to at least restructure and resource the Public Health Laboratories, Teaching Hospital Laboratories and selected laboratories at the country’s borders with state-of-the-art portable PCR devices and certified biosafety cabinets to enable them test COVID-19 suspected samples.”
