YourMain: White men are smarter than us ? There are more blacks in diaspora and we've to learn all their languages plus a foreign language and we cope very well. So I beg to differ. That's the problem While you cope there They dominate here ! Huge difference. I have never seen a white man ( not Lebanese Indian or pakistan). European Australian or American coping here They ball ! |

arabianights: Was in the bulk room of a first generation bank and crowd was quite bad ( yet they say no money ).There were some igbo men that had come to deposit quite an amount of money and had been conversing loudly in their dialect not caring that they were been a nuisance. All of a sudden a white man comes in and the teller receives his cash whilst ignoring the hisses and insults of customers.
The igbo men, trust them started insulting the man and went ahead to add more in their dialect, the white man then, calmly turnsto them and responded to them in IGBO language then went on to add a few more sentences... the whole bulk room kept shut out of shock of course.I turned to him in amazement to ask him on how he learnt igbo and he smiled and responded to me fluently in HAUSA.
Apparently, he had been there before every one else but the account number was wrong and he was told he couldnt make calls in the banking hall, he then went out to make a call and wait for the right account number. On his return,hE went straight to the teller as she had assured him that when he returned ,he wouldnt have to join the queue again. The teller should have explained to all instead of ignoring customers.
Any way my point is that these white men are smatter than us, they learn our languages so as to enable themselves settle in and do business whilst most of us go to their countries and come back the same people we were when we left if not worse. BRO THEY ARE SMARTER THAN US BECAUSE THEY USE THEIR GOD GIVEN TALENTS BETTER NOT BECAUSE OF LANGUAGE ! THAT SAID THE ENGLISH MEN.....TO GET PRACTICALLY THE WORLD CONVERSING IN ENGLISH. THAT IS RARE TALENT. |

Politics › Re: Proposed Immunity For Senate President, Speaker Etal: Dead On Arrival (DOA) by ladej(m): 6:42am On Oct 06, 2015 |
TonyeBarcanista: Often times I wonder the kind of people that dominates our political space. I read in amazement the proposed move by members of the National Assembly to amend the 1999 Constitution(as amended) so as to grant immunity powers to the President of the Senate and the Deputy, the Speaker of the House of Representative and the Deputy, and also the Chief Justice of the Federation. Their argument was simply because the Head and Deputy Head of the Executive arm of government at both the Federal and State levels enjoys such privilege. Let's look at the constitutional provision
The Constitutional Provision: For any amendment of the Constitution to be valid, Section 9 must be fulfilled upon which the president shall grant his ascent(or veto). According to sections 9(1) and (2) of the Constitution...
9(1) The National Assembly may, subject to the provision of this section, alter any of the provisions of this Constitution.
9(2) An Act of the National Assembly for the altertion of this Constitution, not being an Act to which section 8 of this Constitution applies, shall not be passed in either House of the National Assembly unless the proposal is supported by the votes of not less than two-thirds majority of all the members of that House and approved by resolution of the Houses of Assembly of not less than two-thirds of all the States.
Going by the emboldened, we can SAFELY say that irrespective of the overwhelming support the proposal may have in the NASS, it is still subject to the approval of two-thirds of all 36 States Houses of Assembly. Will the States support the amendment? How long will that take (considering that each States Houses of Assembly may conduct public hearing and seek the views of stakeholders/constituents before arriving at a decision)?
Is The Proposed Immunity Pro-Nigeria or Pro-Corruption? It is very unfortunate that our federal legislators in their bid to protect some of their own from facing corruption and criminal offences seek to tow this inglorious path. This is even coming at a time when the call for the removal of immunity clause from Vice President, Governors and Deputy Governors is very high. What kind of immunity does the leaders of the parliament need when parliamentarians already enjoy legislative immunity(that is they won't be arrested/prosecuted for whatever they do on the floor of the parliament)? This move is at best anti-Nigeria and pro-corruption. Beside, it is alien to any democracy that parliamentary leaders enjoy immunity from arrest and prosecution. It is unheard of even in the USA that our democracy is modelled from.
It is unfortunate that our parliamentarians have taken such futile exercise as matter of importance instead of legislating on issues that affects the common man. Finally, I wish to assure members of the NASS that their proposed effort to grant their leaders such privilege is futile, unpatriotic and shall be resisted. We are waiting...
May God Bless Us All Well said bro Actually one of the characteristics of a deepening democracy is that it's actors (in the case members of the national assembly) will try all tricks in the book to legally twist , bend, shake the law to their selfish advantage We the people of Nigeria will not allow it and will voice out. In writing. On the streets. Through our legislative representatives. Media etc We will not allow it Let them try But they shall not succeed |

I have seen this man get a lot of bad press, but never I have said anything bad about him.
He means well. Even if he becomes vindictive, when not courted and made to feel relevant, in the project called Nigeria.
General Obasanjo, is partly to blame for the rot in Jonathan ' s Government. If he had not forced the man down our throat, to spite Atiku.
We would not have had a Alison Maduekwe, as a Minister, who stole from Nigeria into the Guinness book of World Record. You have never said anything bad about him Yet in the same post he's indirectly irresponsible for giving us dieziani Stop talking from both sides of the mouth bro It's unhealthy |

globalresource: @ op.. Keep hating.. .you will reap hatred in return(not a curse, but law of life). Creflo Dollar asked for money for private Jet and he gave his reasons(not steal). It is left for his congregation to make their decision on that. What the hell is your headache about that? Are you one of the people bankrolling his mission
Politicians are here stealing money.. .You remain helpless. Whereas some of these pastors like Bishop Oyedepo is not on the pay roll of the church. Many who you won't see on the pages of nairaland gives bountifully unto him and they are happy doing it. He has nothing to do with the offering. Most people hating here rarely gives in church or don't attend at all. Whereas we who gives cheerfully don't complain and we are happy doing it.
How would you compare the Pope with other pastors? Have you been to Vatican city and see for yourself.. .you would be surprise at the sight of beauty and magnificence(my due respect to the pope)
Your hatred will lead you no where. Keep googling pastors around the world.. Many have connected with them for the supernatural prosperity and you are mourning
My advice to you.. ..keep wailing. I don't expect you to grab the spiritual importance of honoring our men of God
You had celebrate when you see Jay Z with private jet but wail when Men of God use the same
Over to you destiny wailers You actually need help |

Politics › Re: Dieziani's Arrest: Why Buhari Should Not Be Hailed by ladej(m): 11:13pm On Oct 03, 2015 |
TonyeBarcanista: Let me start this piece by stating that the arrest and ongoing investigation of Mrs Alison Diezani Madueke by the United Kingdom Crime Agency is a welcome development. I shall continue to support public officers to answer to any allegation against them irrespective of political affiliation, religion or ethnic group. This article however is meant to clear the air on who is to take credit before supporters of president Buhari and APC accord the glory to Buhari.
UK Crime Agency Should Take Credit For Alison's Arrest: The arrest of Allison was done by the UK Crime Agency acting on their own investigation, which only God know when they started. The EFCC never demanded for Alison's arrest, it was 100% UK initiative. In fact, the UK Crime Agency had to confirm that they started investigating Diezani since 2013 when Buhari was still in opposition http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/190970-we-started-investigating-alison-madueke-since-2013-uk-national-crime-agency.html
Why It Is Wrong To Credit Buhari: The arrest of Madueke is not the first to be done by the UK government. Recall on September 16, 2005 the UK Police arrested then Governor Diepreye Alamesiegha for money laundry www.news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/4253362.stm. The glory of that arrests that eventually led to his impeachment and imprisonment went to the UK and not Obasanjo's administration. The glory that went to Obasanjo was that it was his government that prosecuted him after he fled the UK- though he(Alams) was rather given a slap on the wrist. He still wanted in the UK
In May 2010, UAE authorities arrested James Ibori on the request of British Authorities after he had fled Nigeria due to being on the wanted list of the UK (2007) and Nigeria/EFCC (2010). Nevertheless, the credit went to the british authoritÍes and not President Goodluck Jonathan who had earlier ordered EFCC and Onovo-led police to arrest him. www.news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/8680569.stm www.saharareporters.com/2010/05/12/james-ibori-arrested-dubai
Buhari Is Not Sincere With Anti-corruption Since coming to power Buhari has been making probe rhetoric and has never shown the will. In fact, he has been drinking and eating with alleged corrupt officials like Amaechi, Atiku, Tinubu etc. Obasanjo in his letter once dared Atiku Abubakar to travel to the USA and see if he won't be arrested. Buhari is also yet to take action over the alleged corruption of Fashola as highlighted by Governor Ambode. In fact, the only case that's on the prosecution line is that of Saraki, which we all know was precipitated by political disagreement and not really because Buhari want to fight corruption. Buhari withdrew the EFCC's N2,8billion case against Sylva and even gifted him ticket for Bayelsa governorship election. In fact, Sylva was with Buhari during the Oct 1st celebration. Another is the case of Abubakar Audu, a right-hand man of Buhari since his ANPP days who despite his corruption case was gifted the ticket for Kogi governorship poll.
I make bold to state that the british would have arrested Diezani irrespective of who is in power. It is a shame that our so-called government cannot do things themselves but rely on the UK lead. Unfortunately, the properties and monies that will be seized will be added to the treasury of the Brits and their allies.
Finally, if Buhari want to fight corruption, he should start from home and we all shall support him. There are lots of ex-Govs, Senators and other public officials that has lots of indictment and cases to answer. He can't take the glory of another country! For now, he is yet to prove his hype.

If they decided to charge for their performance Soundcity should either pay or invite another artist who is willing to do a discounted show. Refusing to play their songs because they wouldn't do you a favour is just foolish (especially when your refusal to play their songs has made no dent whatsoever on their career growth) In cases like this, my sympathies will always be with the artist because those shows are the only way they make money these days (youtube has wrecked the profit from selling CDs) Just the shows abi No endorsements Just shows ? |
