MIT grad is not fit, but Lagos College 4 year early grad is fit.

Upside down country.

You guys have no love for your own kind, or even your family, cause there is no way you would wish to be ruled by sub-par people.

If you have to go to the Doctor tomorrow, I wonder if you won't pick a highly skilled IVY league med graduate if you could, but for the rest of your people in Nigeria, such a person is not fit.

So Nigeria have finally happen to me, I thought if I save a little to the 5M I have, it would be able to leave this country by next year.

But right now, it is impossible, I saw on Twitter how a lady was begging money for flight ticket which was about 2.2M, just flight ticket o.

Months ago, a relative of mine told me someone is looking for a dependent and he will connect me to the person, he said the payment was 4M and I was not going to pay much after that and I will stay with the person in the UK before I settle on my own but I was forming big girl saying I will do my process by myself.

Now look, dollar have increased, the money is now worthless, anyway when there is life, there is hope.

I get your point.
As per what that lady said, she said what she has in her mind was as low as craw craw. Obviously to make me take it seriously. She knew it was dry pealing skin on my elbow.
Furthermore, below is what the lady arrested said, and no where did I notice her making accusations against the company relevant to you suggesting if my schoolmate had said my elbow was dry because I probably do drugs.
What she said was that it seem to sugary.
I quote her,

"The lady in question, Egodi Jnr, made a post on Facebook on September 17, 2023, where she said she tasted too much sugar in the tin tomato she bought, a product of Erisco Foods.

“I went to buy tin tomatoes yesterday (September 16) that I will use to make stew; I didn’t see Gino and Sonia, so I decided to buy this one,” she wrote.

“When I opened it, I decided to taste it omo! Sugar is just too much! Haaa biko let me know if you have used this Tin tomato before because this is an ike gwuru situation!”

As per the "Ike gwuru" statement which I did not understand as I do not speak igbo and which is the strange word that could be thought to be condescending. I checked it up on translator.
It means an exhausting situation.
Sir, that is just the main post, under that post several people asked her to take it down and even warned of legal redress, she subsequently said the product kills people

That is not that it was me, she would have said it was craw craw! Lolz. On my observation I saw it was dry skin, just like hammatan. Note ohh, I always day AC, from house to car to office, and I don't rub cream. It looked unpleasant. Omo, I thanked her ohh. When I got home I was upset no one told me. His death was very unfortunate as well as avoidable. After the altercation he had with the "deadly gang', he wrote a petition to the police (addressed to the Ass. Inspector General of Police, FCID Lagos) complaining of threat to life and malicious damage to property yet the Police could not arise to their responsibility for over two months of him writing the petition. Police could not secure him neither did they take action to go after his assailants. No, they did nothing!. It's after his death that Police started forming committee to look into what killed him. Very shameful and regrettable!!.
The Nigerian Police failed the poor soul. Had it been that the Police did one or two arrests, perhaps this boy would have been alive today. If it were to be in the developed climes, the Police hierarchy in that dept would have resigned or been sacked at the death of this boy. In fact, simply put, Police (laxity) is the major factor to his death.
You mean like the countries where know terrorists commandeered multiple aircrafts and crashed them at will?

The police acted on his petition, the people petitioned showed up with lawyers and he didn't show up.
These matters are not 2+2 = 4

Mummyfour:
21st if August, I was at the American embassy for a visa appointment.

From the period spanning 3 hours I was there, nobody left the interview room with a smile or laughter. Almost every one there was rejected.

The funniest thing about the rejection was the verdict on the light blue paper given to the intending travellers which read" you have not demonstrated that you have enough ties to bring you back to Nigeria "

In a layman's terms, it means we are suspecting that you want to japa into the US.

The most painful aspect was a lot of undergraduates that were turned down. A guy that had a $60,000 worth of scholarship was bounced too.

I saw someone who was just going on a study leave from a whole Deloitte where he works in presently in Nigeria being bounced too.
Most of the interviewers didn't even check out relevant documents of the applicants, but just drew their conclusion based on face value.

I was discussing with people and they said inasmuch as the reason for that verdict was baseless and stupid, we Nigerians are viewed as the worst of the worst world citizens to allow access into the US, irrespective of one's qualifications.
We have a government, system and people that are fantastically corrupt.
We have people who engage in and support illegalities.

Our judiciary is biased and is for the highest bidders, and our political system and elections are flawed (none is perfect anywhere in the world) but ours is glaring and very embarrassing.

Our leaders are not patriotic and that is why when we as citizens have our rights trampled on locally or internationally, nothing is done about it.
Nigeria is not regarded as anything again.
In other words, we are just seen as nothing but irritating pollutants.

So for those of you that applaud evil in this land, pray you remain forever in Nigeria because even if it is just to go and visit and come back, they will not allow you.
If you even have a scholarship or any good thing that can take you out of this country, you will be frustrated at the embassy.

And for those of you that left already and are destroying the name of Nigeria, God's punishment awaits you.
And for those that are still making us proud in the US and elsewhere, may God continue to bless your efforts

I rest my case.
Please mods front page
Fact is...

Most of the applicants want to Japa. They know this

I still remember this disaster. I was in the University then. It was a news the world watched in horror. It is understandable that air disasters are always catastrophic and fatal.

What a terrible end for the doomed passengers watching themselves helplessly to their own deaths because of pilots errors. Worst is the pilot should have listened to his first Officer and abort the takeoff.

A Concorde that never had any fatality over 20 years of its beautiful existence suddenly had one! And that kill the future prospect & advancement of aviation science in that line. What a sad end for the Concorde.

Abeg let the indomie generation here learn history and the future pilots to be learn a thing or two so that lives will be preserved.
Had the pilot attempted an abort pass the go-no-go which they had reached, the fatalities would have been more. Read the information properly

A state pardon as granted to Al Mustapha, is a confirmation that he is guilty. It is not "like he was never convicted"

It is actually a confirmation that he accepts he is guilty. People have been known to reject state pardons because they want to prove thier innocence.

It is an NCBF - Non-Conviction-based Forfeiture. It is an action in rem, not in personam. It was an action against Tinubu's property, not Tinubu himself. So maybe there is nothing to really appeal against from Tinubu's standpoint.

Appealing against it may have angered the Justice Department and FBI to pursue criminal charges (if they found probable cause, which will involve them empaneling a grand jury). So Tinubu just decided to forget about it since the only thing he lost was money.

That is just my opinion though
Trump Inc was just found guilty of tax evasion and conspiracy to defraud the government and ordered to may 10s of millions in fines....

The APM had in its petition marked: CA/
PEPC/04/2023, contended that the withdrawal of
Mr. Masari who was initially nominated as the Vice-
Presidential candidate of the All Progressives
Congress, APC, invalidated Tinubu’s candidacy in
view of Section 131(c) and 142 of the 1999
Constitution, as amended.
The party argued that there was a gap of about
three weeks between the period that Masari, who
was listed as the 5th Respondent in the petition,
expressed intention to withdraw, the actual
withdrawal of his purported nomination, and the
time Tinubu purportedly replaced him with Senator
Kashim Shettima.
It further argued that Tinubu’s candidature had
elapsed as at the time he nominated Shettima as
Masari’s replacement.
According to the petitioner, as at the time Tinubu
announced Shettima as the Vice Presidential
candidate, “he was no longer in a position,
constitutionally, to nominate a mate since
he had ceased to be a presidential candidate of the
2nd Respondent having regards to the provisions of
section 142 of the 1999 Constitution”.
More so, APM, contended that Masari’s initial
nomination activated the joint ticket principle
enshrined in the Constitution, stressing that his
subsequent withdrawal invalidated the said joint
ticket.

You are wrong sir. Try to read the details of the case. The matter has taken a different dimension from what the Supreme Court adjudicated on.

First, a combined reading of the Constitution and the Electoral Act shows that any party whose candidates resigns after the closure of nomination process has the total of 14 days to replace such candidate.

Now, both INEC and APC and Tinubu accepted in court that Ibrahim Masari who was APC Vice Presidential placeholder candidate tendered his resignation on 24th June, 2022.

Again, all parties agree that Kashim Shettima became the new Vice Presidential candidate on 14th July, 2022 (because they were running from double nomination so they denied it was on 6th July).

Now, between 24 June, 2022 - 14 July, 2022 is a total period of 21 days. That’s a whopping 7 days beyond the constitutionally provided window of 14 days.

Now, APM is arguing that as of the time that Kashim Shettima was nominated as Vice Presidential candidate of the APC, Bola Tinubu had ceased to be a valid presidential candidate having stayed 7 days without a Vice Presidential candidate which invalidated his candidacy.
Firstly, APM did not argue any such thing. The poster just intelligently analysed the response of the APC team to LP petition and said based on that.... Then the post suffices...

This invalid nomination relief was never sought by any of the concerned parties. Courts cannot grant you reliefs you did not seek for.

Having closed cases, no party can join any new issues even up to the supreme court when the election matter gets there.
