What I don't understand is when witness' statements are objected but court adminting them.

The court does not want to waste time listening to why you are objecting to a witness. So they will ADMIT (not ACCEPT) it, pending when it is your turn to make your case, then you can prove to them why it should be expunged.

PDP has a number of days, LP has a number of dates. So it's thier court for now.

A hostile witness is one that goes against the person he is testifying for. For the guy to be a hostile witness, he will have been going against LP

LP doesn't have to prove massive irregularities. However the evidence is dead as the sampled results were not crosschecked to confirm the irregularities. That's the massive drawback of allowing the respondents a day to prepare. They were able to see that the sampled units were won by PDP and LP and were also consistent with the hardcopies which the court will now differ to.


And just to educate here...


There is a reason LP/PDP brought loads of physical copies. The court will simply not consider these Irevs/bvas without the actual machines. And they know this.


LP smartly supoenaed Nitda for this very reason, but NITDA messed them up, so they supoenaed a friendly NITDA staff which is smart. Note the Respondent saying confidently that the NITDA DG did not send the expert because they have the nITDA DG in line. They will now bring the NITDA DG as Thier own witness to counter

The problem was that, even in the 12 he examined, he went on to say he did not question anybody, nor confirm the physical copies. So the physical copies may have as well been same as the metadata.

They could have brought ANY witness an that would have been great. But it was a mistake to bring someone who contested on the platform of LP. They could also have easily gotten those health report certified by AWS without stating any special disclosure but they failed to do that

A video of Tinubu picking him is therefore not going to stand thier own terms of scrutiny. Take it from a legal point of view that the LP lawyers are sadly not working together.

Today's session has ended and I think it was productive. Let me tell you what happened:

The way LP tendered those clips is HOW YOU TENDER AN EVIDENCE IN COURT, then drop the mic and walk away from the respondents.

While the respondents were expecting to see just Mahmood Yakubu, the LP team hit them with Festus Okoye and Tinubu/shettima's double nomination as well.

All along, the respondents relied on Shettima's nomination letter and even argued about the dates, but guess what happened today? LP team played a 'cassette' of Tinubu VERBALLY announcing that Shettima has been picked as his running mate days before the so-called letter was written.

At the end of the clip, the respondents didn't know what to ask. They started asking the witness if Festus Okoye, Mahmood Yakubu, and the cameramen are still alive! That's all they had to say after watching those clips.

Hilarious!

That was a masterstroke right there from the LP team. Damn!!!
