i have been doing a bit of research on some of the biggest website hosts in the US and UK . Their customer service is awesome. the nigerian ones did not even reply my mails.

My apologies to loverbwoy. i didnt know you were a white man. I guess you can view these issues more objectively than those of us here. I have read many papers from outside the country and i didnt see much of a difference except for the quality of print. But I was never one to look out for much details.

One thing I have noticed however is that Our newspapers these days seem to be totally unconcerned that their audience is not limited to adults and people seeking cheap gossip. The issue of Anita Hogan was the last in a series of supposedly hot stories which do nothing other than pry into other peoples private lives and print dirty pictures for the whole world to see. I saw a couple of small girls looking at these pictures and giggling uncontrollably. Once a niece of mine was reading a story in the punch and later i picked it up to see what she was reading. It was one of these short stories filled with details of intimate relations between a man and a woman. I don't think they realize what harm they are doing to our children.

This is fact, you can't always keep the peace no matter how much you advocate for it.  Olmert learned the hard way, and I am sure he now sees clearly how Sharon's policies would not work.  Isreal is dealing with people who thrive on conflict and who wont rest until one or both parties is completely anihilated.  It's a kill or be killed situation and I do not forsee anything that the UN can do to resolve this blind hate.

Am i to understand that it is impossible for there to be peace in the middle east? Everyone seems to be more concerned with political analysis of who is right and who is wrong. it is easy to sit down in front of our computers and talk about whether israeli battle tanks come from Russia or not. Actually I understand that this can be an interesting analysis but I tend to be more concerned about those families who were forced to take hezbollah soldiers into their homes and lost family and property in the ensuing battle.  The Israeli woman who has become a widow and childless doesnt care what kind of tank was used. All she knows is that it kills and that is what must stop. There has to be a solution but it has to be as radical and deep as the problem itself. That is why I think that Sharon's idea was a good one and that Olmert should find a way of keeping to it. Everyone cannot be happy but at the end of the day its the solution that benefits all that is important.
The people living there want peace. A friend of mine spoke to a Lebanese who just got back from his country. He said that many lebanese people were happy that hezbollah was being attacked but they didnt dare to say it out. What we saw on TV seems to be the opposite but that is what the leaders want us to see. Many in Iraq, Palestine, Israel, Afghanistan etc. etc. will be in support of serious negotiations by serious people not by those who are just interested in fuelling hate to benefit their selfish interests

I feel you Afam. There is no way to avoid the pain in such a case. Everybody has to give up something for the sake of peace. Sharon is not the only one who can take such bold and admirable steps.

I didnt have time to go through the comments on the other pages so i dont know if what i am going to say has been said before. I will go ahead and say it anyway.
The problems in the middle east will never be solved if we keep on babbling about historical wrongs and rights, injustice in the present and the past, who owns what and what belongs where etc. etc. etc.
If Nigerians still kept on harping on what happened in the civil war we would still be in the trenches now and we wont even be able to talk about improving anything. the same has to happen in the middle east. Some people have to stand up and say we are ready to forget the past and think about the future. We dont want to live in fear anymore. we want our kids to grow up like kids in other places. No to war. Yes to peace. If that doesnt happen the killing will never end. And everybody will be able to give reasons why the other should give way. I think its really disgusting that a father breeds hate for other people in his children. encouraging them to become potential killers of people they never really knew. I would like to finish by dropping a quote from my favorite song

lager etc. etc. I am very interested in what you said. I have been looking for a host but I did not even bother to look in Nigeria. THe time will come when we can get reliable services in this country but for now if one has to spend money I think he should spend it on those who have the experience. Anyway I am looking for someone to host my site. Windows 2003 server with Asp.net 2.0. Can you help me?
