There was no such thing as Ondo state during the period of regional government, I am from present day Ondo state. Majority of cocoa plantation comes from present day Ondo state, Ekiti, osun, edo, Ogun and part of oyo state. Ibadan was just the then capacity and all the region felt the impact through free education, road development etc.

The second major source of income comes from present day edo and delta state which were part of old western region.
The first Cocoa plantation were in Ogun state,Agege area and Oyo state and other sites. The farming was shifted to Ondo and Ekiti when the land was no more viable for Cocoa farming. Still one reigon , one love .

Politics / Re: Baseless Lies About Property In Igboland by ladiguy(m): 10:33pm On Jun 21, 2017
Newmanluckyman:
...A good point from the OP. These people are born to conjure lies and unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it but to keep exposing their pathological lies on daily basis. Even immediately after the Nigerian independence with the relative peace and brotherliness existing then, how many northerners and westerners invest in other parts of the country? None!. But the igbos and their neighbors were busy investing in other parts of the country.

As I used to say always all those lies where borne out of ENVY, and JEALOUS due to the Igbo's business, entrepreneurial, financial, and intellectual prosperity.

As it is in business investments so it is in other areas too. How many northerners and westerners cherish and wear other tribes attire the way we igbos do? How many northerners and westerners live in other parts of the country against all odds

the way igbos do? How many of them carried "one Nigeria"like gala on their head the way the igbos do after so much human, and material sacrifices the have made since the birth of this nation? Practically none!!!!!!

The appointed time has come....

Because everything about Ibos are fake.
You sell fake products.
You pirates someones intellectual property, make money off someone's sweat and the monies are used to carter for you guys and also pumped into other sectors of the economy.
You perpetrate crime to get rich and put so many families in sorrow.
You borrow attire from the South south, only to add a red cap to it. The new trend now is to put on Yoruba attire and soon claim ownership.
You don't have history, only to fabricate lies to have relevance.
You so funny that you guys claimed to be jews.
You still dwell in foreign religion and doctrine.
You have no royalty in your history but crazy about it that you have become nuisance everywhere you go because of royalty.
You have no single religion or denomination that has transverse to other regions or countries.
No single authenticity about the Igbos in existence.
So many flaws and errs about the Igbo existence .

I know many Yoruba families that own properties in PH.
Many ex AGIP, Shell, even Michelin workers of Yoruba stock own properties in PH.

You are very right. They don't know this ,because those people are not traders that can be seen on the street.

Come on shut up there liar. I mean shut ur mouth ur lie is stinking, i mean very stinking. Is it my ph or is therw another ph ur yoruba people own properties? U have not even left the west and u re here talking Rubbish. The only business yorubas do in ph is taxi driving and selling ogogoro, or maybe were u talking of taxi as properties. Just call d location of one single landed property owned by yoruba in d entire south south. Even in akwa ibom d presence of yoruba is zero except those that peddled their way to eket. In the North yoruba owns nothing, even the market they sell in are owned by Igbos. I have been to all northern states, so mention one. Shut up there.

Most of you are kids who knows nothing and not ready to learn but listen to lies and from your elders. You can argue without an insult. You said Yoruba owns nothing in the south south. I still remember during the last election there was an outrage by a certain politician in Akwa-ibom state about the political atmosphere then, he personally swore that he will never allow Apc to have any ground in his state because once they do ,that means Tinubu will have influence in their state, which portends a Yoruba influence.
He opened a blog and campaigned vigorously and very vocal attacking the party, which was widely seen as a Yoruba party prior to the 2015 election. He made a statement that, if he should make available statement of account of money transferred monthly from their state by the Yorubas to their various state. The Ibomites will never allow the party to rule their state .

My point is most Igbos are traders and their profession is visible ,which can be easily seen when you get to any society just like the Yoruba taxi drivers. There are many Yorubas who work in different parts of the country and who are cooperate workers, which is very hard to identify who they are .

Lagos is no man's land. Owned originally by aworis on one end and eguns on the other. And later colonised by Benin. And then later taken over by freed portuguese slaves. And then colonised by Britain and developed by Nigerians, mostly igbos.
Nowhere in history of Lagos will u hear yoruba mentioned.
We are not going into any allegiance with back-stabbing afonjas, not in a million years.

You are foolish. Aworis are Yoruba sub group . The Yorubas are nation not a tribe with different sub groups( Egbas, Aworis, Ijehsas, Ekitis ,Ibadan and the ibarapas, Ijebus, Yewas the Okuns in Kogi, Dino melayes pple and so on . Awori spread from Lagos to Ogun state.

Go meet your elder that settled in Lagos some decades ago to school you what you dont know .

Why do Ndi'Igbo still believe the false stereotype that the omo Oduduwa (Yoruba) are cowards? In the history of Nigeria, only two men have returned to Nigeria to face almost certain death even when they had the option of a very comfortable political asylum abroad. Both of them are Yoruba. In 1985, General
Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida toppled the Buhari regime while Major General Tunde Idiagbon (mixed Yoruba/Fulani) was at Mecca yet Idiagbon returned. In 1995,
Olusegun Obasanjo (pure Owu Yoruba) was accused of planning a coup by the blood thirsty tyrant, Abacha (if you don't like the truthful description of Abacha you can go and join him where he is) while he was away in Copenhagen. He returned to face almost certain death. I admired Ojukwu, but I was disappointed that he fled. I wish he remained. I also admired Azikiwe, but Awolowo would NEVER abandon his people as Azikiwe did when he defected to the federal side during the civil war. Awolowo was in prison because of his people and he could have been released had he compromised his beliefs but he stoutly refused. That is courage not cowardice. I have been in direct communication with Gowon whom I admire but he did not return after he was accused of being behind the Dimka coup. Obasanjo and Idiagbon are probably the bravest Nigerians ever. They are certainly braver than Murtala Mohammed who was safely in London waiting for Joseph Garba and co to topple Gowon. The stereotype of Yorubas as cowards is false. Every ethnicity has cowards and brave men.

Even Abiola stood by his mandate till death.

What i was trying to say was that she threw a party on Easter day despite being a Muslim.
You have been lectured and you have to take it . That's how we live in the West . We don't care if you are a muslim or christian, we roll together .
So many christian Yoruba kids visits their Muslim friends during Ileya and also lots of muslim kids do celebrates Christmas and Easter with their christian friends. Some do go to different churches to jolly with them during harvest .
