Me I don't really know what the problem is between Christians and Muslims.

I see Old testament as more of islamic book because lots of it's scriptures are related to islamic scriptures.

Like the story of Moses and Jonah. And many more. Also the old testament talked about going to your place of worship without your shoes and that's what Islam is practicing. It's also warn against women being in charge of any organisation. Even covering of a woman's head. Most Christian movies scripting the moses era would have women cover their heads completely. Islam uses hijab as well.

The only problem I see is Christians referring to Jesus as God.

Aside this, I don't really see any difference between these two religion.

You are right but u need to know this. Christianity started before Islam. Coverin of head by women is culture from that region...

Politics / Re: Tinubu Is Just Buying Time, The US Judiciary Will Expose Him As A Fraud. by ladiguy(m): 10:17am On Sep 22, 2023
MrPristine:
If Biden can’t protect his own son and Trump can’t protect himself from prosecution, what make you Nigerians think Tinubu will be protected by US.

US is not Nigeria! Here in US every citizen pray not to be entangled with the law, that includes Presidents.

Now, Tinubu lawyers have bought him time for him Tinubu to escape US without incident, so they have achieved their goal.

If Tinubu results and transcript are released today, and things fishy were found, Tinubu as the president of Nigeria will be evacuated shamelessly and escorted by the law enforcement officers out of US, which will alert US and international media.

All media will carry the incident. He will not be arrested but evacuated which will be an international embarrassment to Nigeria and even US, since it happened in US soil.

So, I indulge everyone to stop casting stones. Justice will be served.

Already the fake Tinubu has already implicated himself by saying that severe irreparable damage will be done to his life if the transcript was to be released today.

By that statement alone, he has admitted in court that he committed an offense, forgery and possibly an identity fraud.

Tell me, what can possibly cause severe irreparable damage to a man’s life by releasing an ordinary transcript?
Transcript others freely make available to the public or employers.

In the other hand, His Excellency Atiku Abubakar won today, freedom and democracy won today

As today will be remembered as the day a sitting president told the world that his releasing his transcripts will cause a severe irreparable damage to his life. Imagine that!

Many years to come, he Atiku Abubakar will be remembered as one man that stood against tyranny to stop third term of a sitting president in Nigeria.

One man who lost everything to fighting to protect democracy, against all odds he stood alone fighting injustice.

Love him or hate him, he is a true democrat and defender of democracy.

Today, he fights for all while others watched

He has withstood every battle thrown to him, still smiling.

Generations to come, his name will be remembered no matter how adversaries will try to erase his accomplishments!

They will make songs with his name, children will dance to songs.

Three thousand years from today the name Atiku Abubakar will continue to echo in the chambers of Democratic halls in Nigeria and the world.

I am proud to associate my name with his.

He is the true Lion of Jada, Nigerians will never forget.

He is a true champion of democracy!

Until this case is over, history will continue to be made!

What a beautiful time to be alive!

I am High Chief Franklin Ekechukwu

Politics / Re: Exposed!!! The Major Reason Why Tinubu Will Be Successfully Booted Out by ladiguy(m): 10:08am On Sep 22, 2023
Obi2saveNigeria:
3. Scare mongering; This man will covertly threaten to unleash Oduduwa republic agitation should he be removed. He will also attempt to unleash agberos in Lagos and threaten other Nigerians and in extension, the country. Whenever you hear Oduduwa republic agitation heighten or agberos begin to make open threats, just know that he is about to be booted out.

What makes removing him very possible despite these 3 factors above;

For the first time, two major candidates representing two legs of the tripod are passionate and unwavering in lawfully removing him. Atiku has large followers both in the North where he comes from and indeed across the country. Obi also has large followers both in the East where he comes from and indeed across the country. Therefore, ZO & BIA is united against Wa. Thus making the odds favourable for removal. Also, the economy has deteriorated so badly since Tinubu took over and most Nigerians now believe that Obi or Atiku will be better than Tinubu.

So, there would be jubilation if any of them takes over from Tinubu. In that case, if agberos decide to cause trouble, they would be treated like criminals.

To me, if Ote money knows how to play his game well and neat, I think it's high time to take advantage of ethnic sentiments via T\nubu to overtake the longest record holder of the richest person in Africa.... Dangoπe also used this same opportunity during the regime of B@baginda, Ab@cha, and Buh@ri... Even Ob@sanjo, cos Baba also danced to the tune of the northerners cos they were the decider of his election....

Now that Buh@ri had unknowingly put a slight friction in between the two tribes by trying to outsmart T\nubu in the just concluded elections, Yoruba, it's high time to overtake...

#ObikeAir operational base in Anambra State is one of the ways to activate and jumpstart commercial and international markets accessibility in southeastern Nigeria.

The other requirement is to open up the seaports at Calabar and Onne to link up inland the Niger to the Onitsha container terminal.

Afterwards, the southeasterners should start divestifying their commercial investments and moving their business assets nationwide back to the Southeastern Nigeria Economic Free Trade Zone.

This is the only way to bring substantial economic development and progress to southeast Nigeria. And stop developing other parts of Nigeria where they are treated like second class citizens with no rights and privileges in their own fatherland.

By the time Ladipo auto spare parts and Alaba electronics markets are moved to Onitsha and Owerri, the vehicle owners and mechanics in Lagos and the southwest will come all the way to the southeast to buy from the Igbo traders and suppliers.

#InnosonVehicles manufacturing plant in Nnewi, Anambra State will spur other indigenous vehicle and automobile manufacturers to set up base in the southeast zone thereby creating an industrial and manufacturing hub in that region.

This is a simple economic development plan for southeast Nigeria.

It will start to yield economic dividends within five years of commencement.

Ndigbo are very hardworking and industrious businessmen who can build viable business entities from the scratch with little or no resources at all.

They thrive anywhere they set foot upon in the world as long as there is money to be made there.

Kudos to Ifeanyi Obike for leading the way in the aviation space. Maybe Barr Allen Onyema of #AirPeace will soon follow suit.

Politics / Re: The Violence In Lagos And My Fears For The Future – ETIM ETIM by ladiguy(m): 10:28am On Mar 20, 2023
bestofnollywood:
The violence unleashed on voters in some areas of Lagos during the governorship elections yesterday was a well-planned scheme at voter suppression designed to achieve victory for governing APC and perpetuate the Tinubu dynasty on the nation’s major economic hub. Lagos, and indeed, the western parts of the country, have always been a hotbed of radical political activities and violence, but yesterday, it assumed a dangerous ethnic dimension.

In many areas dominated by Igbo and other non-Yoruba voters, hooligans ran riot, assaulting voters, destroying voting materials and generally disrupting voting. In Okota, where I lived about 20 years ago, a Labour Party candidate was beaten by thugs and his shirt torn. He was seen in a video crying.

In all, Labour Party strongholds were prevented by marauding thugs, apparently sponsored by the APC, from voting. Igbo people and even some Yoruba persons who were suspected of being Igbos for their looks, were singled out of the voting lines and assaulted. The whole exercise was eerily reminiscent of the hounding and persecution of Jews in Germany in the 1930s. Nigeria is degenerating every day.

My fears are that by demonizing and targeting the Igbos, the major supporters of the Labor Party simply because they chose to vote for their preferred candidates, the masterminds of yesterday’s attacks have set in motion a very dangerous precedent in the country. In subsequent elections, I foresee a situation in which non-indigenes in some states would be warned to vote in a particular manner or they may lose their property or businesses. Although our country has experienced many religious and ethnic violence in the past, never before has a major ethnic bloc been so violated, humiliated and demonized for choosing to support a candidate of their choice. This certainly poses a grave danger for our search for unity and nationhood, and belies the spirit and letter of the Peace Accord which all the Presidential and governorship candidates consented to.

So far, neither the Lagos governor and the President-elect has issued a statement to condemn the attacks, thus fueling speculations that they were privy to the plans. Whether they were in the know or not, violence and tainted elections have set the subtext for the Tinubu presidency. Just as President Buhari was perceived to be condoning of the atrocities of Fulani herdsmen for reasons of tribal affinity, Tinubu would be remembered for supporting attacks against a major ethnic group political reason.

The Governorship candidate of Labour Party in Lagos State, Mr. Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, is a Yoruba man of a decent ancestry, born of an Igbo woman and married to an Igbo woman. Based on the energy of Labour voters and the strong performance of Peter Obi, its presidential candidate in the presidential election of February 25, Rhodes-Vivour was widely expected to win the gubernatorial race. Such an upset would terminate Tinubu’s 24-year grip on the N40 trillion economy, upend his many lucrative deals and possibly open up a pandora box.

It was therefore a little naïve not to have anticipated a big fight from the APC, but I must confess that I did not, however, foresee the specific ethnic profiling and derogation of the Igbos as foreigners who wanted to take over Lagos and the constant attacks against Rhodes-Vivour as a foreigner. The Igbos did not ever want to assume the leadership of Lagos. There is nothing to show that they wanted to take over Lagos government. Rhodes-Vivour is a Yoruba man, just as Tinubu’s children, born of an Itsekiri woman, are also Yoruba. The violence in Lagos yesterday was therefore a ploy by some powerful and ruthless persons to protect their business interests.

The real danger now lies in the future and fate of the Igbos in Lagos. With Tinubu himself as President, it is difficult not to expect that the over 10 million Igbos (and even other non-Yoruba persons) in that city would not suffer one form of vengeance or another. Tinubu’s spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, who will likely become the President’s Chief Press Secretary, yesterday offered what could be an ominous hint. He tweeted: ‘’Let 2023 be the last of Igbo Interference in Lagos politics. Let there be no repeat in 2027. Lagos is like Anambra, Imo, any Nigerian State.

It is not No Man’s Land; not Federal Capital Territory. It is a Yoruba Land. Mind your business’’. Implicit in this threatening message is the warning: Lagos belongs to the Boss. Don’t ever contemplate going against his will. Mafia bosses in Italy and their descendants in New York and Chicago were known to be very ruthless in their territorial control. Their minions, eager to sustain their privileges, also acted cruelly against rivals and perceived threats. Onanuga’s message is his own way of assuring the Big Boss that he remains loyal and is ready to play his own part in furtherance of the survival of the empire.

NwaNimo1:
The history of Lagos dates back to the pre-colonial era when it was a small fishing village inhabited by the Awori people. In the 15th century, the Kingdom of Benin conquered the area and established a trading post there.

In the 16th century, the Portuguese arrived in Lagos and established a settlement. They named the settlement "Lagos," which means "lakes" in Portuguese, due to the lagoons and waterways in the area. The Portuguese used Lagos as a major center for the slave trade, and it became one of the largest slave markets in West Africa.

The Awori people are an ethnic group in Nigeria, primarily located in the southwestern part of the country. They are believed to be one of the earliest settlers in the region, dating back to pre-colonial times.

The Awori people are known for their rich cultural heritage, which includes music, dance, and traditional festivals. Their language is also called Awori and is a dialect of the Yoruba language, which is widely spoken in southwestern Nigeria.

Traditionally, the Awori people were farmers and fishermen, and they also engaged in craft-making, including weaving, pottery, and carving. They had a strong communal lifestyle, with families living in extended compounds, and elders playing an important role in decision-making.

In the 15th century, the Awori people were conquered by the Kingdom of Benin, which established a trading post in the area. The Portuguese later arrived in Lagos and established a settlement, which eventually led to the colonization of Nigeria by the British.

The Kingdom of Benin, also known as the Edo Empire, was a pre-colonial African state that existed in what is now southern Nigeria. It was one of the most powerful and well-organized states in Africa, with a complex political system, advanced artistic traditions, and a thriving trade economy.

The kingdom was founded in the 13th century by the Edo people, who were skilled farmers and hunters. They gradually expanded their territory through military conquest and formed alliances with neighboring states. By the 15th century, the Kingdom of Benin had become a major regional power, controlling a vast area of land that included parts of present-day Nigeria, Togo, and Ghana.

The Kingdom of Benin was ruled by a powerful monarch known as the Oba, who was considered to be a divine figure with supreme authority over the kingdom. The Oba was supported by a council of chiefs and elders who advised him on matters of governance and policy.

The Kingdom of Benin was known for its advanced artistic traditions, particularly in the areas of bronze casting, wood carving, and ivory carving. The Benin bronze sculptures, in particular, are considered to be some of the finest examples of African art and have been the subject of much study and admiration.

The kingdom's economy was based on trade, with the Benin people exporting goods such as ivory, pepper, and slaves, in exchange for luxury goods such as beads, textiles, and firearms. The kingdom also had a complex system of taxation and tribute, which allowed it to maintain a large standing army and support its extensive public works projects.

The Kingdom of Benin was eventually conquered by the British in 1897, following a dispute over trade and political control. The kingdom's capital city of Benin City was looted and destroyed by the British, and many of its treasures were taken as spoils of war. Today, the remnants of the Kingdom of Benin can still be seen in the cultural traditions and artistic heritage of the Edo people of southern Nigeria.

In the 19th century, the British took control of Lagos and made it the center of their colonial administration in Nigeria. Lagos became the capital of Nigeria in 1914 when the country was amalgamated under British rule. During this period, Lagos experienced rapid growth and development as it became the economic and cultural center of the country.

In the 19th century, the Yoruba people faced a series of conflicts and wars, including the Fulani War, which disrupted their traditional way of life and forced many to migrate to other parts of Nigeria and beyond. This migration led to the spread of Yoruba culture and language throughout Nigeria and beyond, including to Lagos.

Lagos was a small fishing village inhabited by the Awori people before the arrival of the Yoruba people. The Yoruba people began to migrate to Lagos in the 18th and 19th centuries, attracted by the city's growing economic opportunities and strategic location as a center of trade.

As more Yoruba people settled in Lagos, they brought with them their rich cultural traditions and language, which became an important part of the city's cultural landscape. Today, Lagos is known for its vibrant Yoruba music and dance scene, as well as its rich Yoruba heritage, which can be seen in its architecture, art, and cultural festivals.

Despite the challenges of urbanization and rapid growth, the Yoruba people have continued to thrive in Lagos, contributing to the city's dynamic cultural and economic landscape.

What about the Alaba spanking, Igbo child slapping Yoruba child and Igbos using yoruba for ritual?

Enough said.

We await your threat tomorrow. Igbos are the last you can threaten. Expect the highest resistance against any thug that surface at any polling unit tomorrow.

As for weapons. Don't worry, you will be surprised. Keep body bags for your slavish thugs

Politics / Re: This Is Why There Aren't Many South Westerners In The East (pictures) by ladiguy(m): 4:21am On Mar 16, 2023
LocalStandard1:
I am going to give my unapologetic, unbiased opinion about this topic of discuss based on my knowledge and observations about human interactions and relationships. I'll be brief.

Let me start with this personal example, experience.

Some years ago when I got registered in the gym I entered and saw what caused me to be afraid, intimidated and doubtful if I can even do it at all. I saw big and muscular guys in the gym lifting big and unimaginable weights, I was demoralized and thought of quitting many times over.
But my mind is stronger than my body and I refused to stop, refused to be intimated and daunted by the negative criticisms. Today every gym I go I am soon called "heavyweights", people sit and watch in amazement when I hit the gym.

1.| The first reason there aren't many South Westerners in the East is cause many are afraid to compete with the Igbos and are already intimidated by the high hustle spirit of these other people. They subconsciously ask, "if these people can come to my town and outdo me do I even stand a chance in theirs?"

Just like me some years ago in the gym, they are afraid of competition and are intimidated by the high hustling spirit. But Unlike me, they never even try.

2.| This second reason is one I tried to talk about some time ago with a video reference from Thomas Sowell from YouTube. Unlike the Igbos and even to a small extent the Hausas, the South West are not into the practice of the MIDDLE-MEN system of wealth building and accumulation. And I dare say there are more Hausas in the South East and South South than there are the South Westerners.

You have to be ready and willing to leave your comfort zone and start new and fresh in an unknown place to succeed in this kind of system. The Igbos and to an extent the Hausas can, not very much the Yorubas.

I talked with a Muslim lady who did her NYSC service in Enugu State. She and family were doubtful of her going to serve there but after it all she said she made a lot of friends and even after she returned they still keep in touch and would have visited them but what would she say to family she's going to do there again?

Maybe all it takes is a little courage to take a leap out and about. But at the end of the day "LANDLORD TRAVEL AND SEE"! wink

NOTE: I am not Igbo and have never been there, by the way.

You are very dumb... people go to places where there Are more economic opportunities. South western Nigeria, particularly Lagos. Lagos is like London or USA to other Nigerians, so people troop in for this reason.

Hope say no be you Dey intelligent pass for your family? If, na you ..... o boy ur family get problem oooo.... cuz you Dey very dumb.... very dumb.....

Lol
This is how people begin to claim another man's land. How come the Map was claiming Edo, Delta and Bayelsa as Yoruba country?

Olodo.... that line in the map was River Benue and River Niger down to the south. The line wasn’t Geographical land demarcation

You people are just dumb and filled with hate to understand anything why not attack ur dead jakende in his grave who started this narrative that lagos is a no man's land instead of attacking this poster and innocent igbo people? You miscreants should know that you are also made of blood like the igbos u are planning to attack unprovoked the rwandan genocide u are using as reference point here go and make ur research properly and see what really happened both the hutus and tutsis paid a very heavy price for that conflict it was never one sided affair so u lagos miscreants should better watch what you wish for.

Okay. You go learn
