Go to any medical laboratory. Tell them u want to do pcv test. But the little I know is that if u don't eat well and eat properly in pregnancy u might have it. Also if u don't take iron supplements

I beg you in the almighty name of God. Eat whatever you have to eat to avoid pcv issues. I'm current receiving my second pint of blood. Both I and my baby are fine but i have learnt my lesson the hard way. Don't be like me o. I refused to eat well

I want to rant o. I haven't felt like eating food for some time, all of a sudden I felt like eating jollof rice. So I called my mother in law to help me buy some from a canteen on her way back home. Being the Angel that she is, she bought sweet sensation jollof rice and chicken(God bless her kind heart). I done thank mama for . I finished eating and then threw it all up....u can imagine. I started crying almost immediately.

Some women don't feel fetal movement until 25-28 weeks. It all depends on how your baby is laying inside you and where your placenta is located. You can go for a scan and tell the attendant you would like to watch the screen you would be suprised at how much your baby is moving. You should be taking ferrous by now I'm addition to flic acid. Or just buy pregnacare of u can afford it

Thank u all for ur response . I almost passed out this morning so I had to see my gynaecologist. Pcv was too low and then I have malria. So that's the root cause and drugs have been adminsterd. Like u all said he asked me not to worry just eat as often as possible, eat mostly protein and rest well. Tests would be repeated after a week

There's nothing to be worried about. I don't think this is considered low unless it's goes lower than this or you are fainting, feeling lightheaded or dizzy. If my memory doesn't fail me, my bp is always 100/60, 90/60 or 90/50 and no one ever complained unless yours is always on the high side.
Normal systolic range is 90 to 130. Normal diastolic is 60 to 80. But a 50 in pregnancy is considered normal.
Just make sure you are not dehydrated or bleeding. I think that's all.

Thank u ma. But it was first 100/70, then 90/60 and now 90/50. And I am always having headaches. I had to take a break from my teaching job this month because I can't stand for more than 2 minutes I would feel like I would fall. I have an appointment with aspecialist today . I pray it's nothing serious. Thank u

Missed my period by few days late.. So I confirmed at the hospital and Yayyyyyyy I'm pregnant.. Just got married and I'm so happy and excited..u won't understand.

I totally forgot to ask the doctor the questions I now want to ask.. I guess I was too excited to be carrying a bundle of joy..

At the time, my period was to come, I felt this pre-period cramps. I still feel them, they are not painful at all, but uncomfortable.. I hope it's normal

Also, since discovering I'm pregnant, anytime I have sex and I orgasm, I feel pain in my belly, like I have to clutch my Tommy, but it last maybe 3-5 minutes, and quickly it's gone like it never happened. This only happens if I orgasm or c.um.. But other sex when I don't come, it doesn't happen.. I hope this is also not abnormal..

How soon do I start antenatal.. My mum said like 4month.. I think that is too late. I'm new to this so I don't really know how it works.. I just want things to go well..

Lastly, Is there a way to know how far I'm gone..without going to hospital for a scan. I don't know which sex led to it lol.. My last period was may 23...

Hello mama.i am happy for u . This is my first pregnancy too and I'm super excited. I'm 15 weeks pregnant I stoped having cramps around week 9. It's feels like period cramp but it goes after 1 minutes as if nothing happend. To calculate how far u have gone try to remember when your last period started. The first day of your last menstrual period counts as day one of your pregnancy.Your due date is calculated by adding 280 days (40 weeks) to the first day of your last menstrual period (assuming a 28 day cycle). Note that your menstrual period and ovulation are counted as the first two weeks of pregnancy. If you deliver on your due date, your baby is actually only 38 weeks old, not 40.
I started my antenatal at 2 months. The earlier the better. But try to take folic acid everyday. . Folic acid helps prevent neural tube defects– serious birth defects of the spinal cord and the brain

There's something definitely wrong with that scan machine. 1.6 at 14wks? There's a miscalculation somewhere. Check with another scan center to be double sure.

Mamas in the house abeg help me address this issue. I am 14 weeks and 6 days . I went for scan today the result shows the cyst in me is growing.it's almost making it difficult for us to get a clear picture of baby. I'm going to the hospital this weekend but has anyone had cyst while been pregnant?How did it go?.I'm really worried.
Also scan is saying baby is 1.6kg . Is this possible? I feel that's too big.

i don run go do scan ooo...I'm still at the scan center and I had a 4D scan so I can see everything clearly... my baby is doing fine and yes she is actually a girl.. I'm never going back to the scan center that told me I was having a boy...

I just came back from Lab nau and my report reads:

Gravid uterus with a single intra uterine gestation sac is demonstrated, there is NO FETAL POLE or ACTIVITY WITHIN THE SAC YET.
GSD:20.0mm
EGA:6weeks 2days (instead of 7weeks 2days)

I was asked to repeat d scan in 2weeks but I'm worried sick about it. Pls mums, isn't there supposed to be a fetal pole by nau? Even heartbeat sef?
I hope dis doesn't indicate any problem?

Hello mama. I don't think u need to panic. I googled fetal pole and this is the first thing that came up
'The fetal pole is a thickening on the margin of the yolk sac of a fetus during pregnancy. It is usually identified at 8 weeks with abdominal ultrasound imaging, and 6 weeks with vaginal ultrasound imaging. However it is quite normal for the fetal pole to not be visible until about 9 weeks'.
So if it is abdominal ultrasound U did they won't find the pole until u re 9 weeks gone. That's y they asked u to come back after 2 weeks

thanks all. I had fibroid and on the 3rd of June it pushed the baby out just two months to due date. the baby was rushed to LUTH for incubator facility but died yesterday after waiting for some years to get pregnant and it ended like this.

Hello Mamas in the house...I av been following this thread for some time and I must confess that I love it. I have learnt a lot! Am a ftm presently at 11weeks. the previous weeks av been quite hellish for me with different kind of feelings ranging from unexplained dizziness, evening nausea, headache and all. The sight of food alone makes me want to throw up.

But thank God it is better now. At least I can cook and eat what I cooked and the dizziness has disappeared.

However I want to know if it is safe to tone my skin. During those weak times I stopped toning and now I av gotten so dark and almost unrecognizable. I wonder if I can continue to use my cream.( Doesn't contain hydroquinone).

Congrats to all mamas that has put to bed, may Almighty God watch and keep ur lo. I was patiently waiting for Saturday so I can get a positive news concerning the heart beat, only for me to start having cramps all through yesterday and i was spotting.hmmm toward evening the cramps became unbearable it's was like I was having contraction every 5mins. Went to d hospital this mrn nd they gave me an injection and was sent to scan ,they couldn't find the baby again only for me to go nd pee and i popped it out and blood everywhere. I couldn't believe it, was so shocked but relieved as well,my baby at 11 weeks was finally gone. Hopefully I will join u all soon by God's grace.
