My opinion is that it is heartburn, I get the chest pain sometimes, very severe like a deep heavy pain. I treat it with honey and that proves to be a fast effective cure for heartburn. If you have honey try it and see if it helps.
Infact I got the same pain this afternoon after eating one pepperish jollof rice. I think you pain is heartburn sha.

Please don't use the Valium unless you absolutely need to, I remember my doctors hesitating for almost 3 weeks when I had severe insomnia in my first pregnancy.


This nurse, is she a registered one?
Does she work in a GH or her own private practice?
Is it the norm for nurses to prescribe drugs in this hospital or this is a first time issue?

The hospital is the annex of sacred heart hospital lantoro abeokuta. Na village we dey o (a border town actually)due to the nature of my husbands job. There is no permanent doctor but about 4 doctors come every wednesday. If there is any situation on groind they cannot handle they would tranfer the person to abeokuta asap with their ambulance. There is one matron, 2 registered nurses and 2 auxilary nurses, pharmacist but no resident doctor.
This one is even the best around and we travel for about 20minutes to get to the hospital. The general hospital here is worse o. You will just see one nurse wearing blue telling u that there is no nurse/doctor around that u should come back in a week time.
I would be travelling to my mother in laws place in 2 weeks so i can go back to sacred heart and have my baby there.

Please mamas help me o. Last night i started feeling some painful tightness in the upper part of my abdomen(from under my breast to my navel). It really hurts it lasts for some time and then stops for sometime. I couldnt sleep through the night and when the tightness starts i cannot move my body due to the pain. I went for scan this morning before heading to the hospital. Sonographer says no problem with baby. The nurse on duty prescribed valium and paracetamol for me that if it doesnt improve in 2days i should be back asap. She also gave me strict bed rest. Is this normal? Or should i be worried.
PS. this is my 33/34th week

Mamas pls I have a question as regards pregnacare. The matron warned us not to use it cos it does not contain d required amount of folic acid needed. Meanwhile, I've seen people testify about d efficacy of d drug. I'm thinking using d folic acid that is being given at the hospital in addition with pregnacare but I'm scared if overdose of vitamin will not harm my baby. I don't want to totally get rid of d pregnacare cos of its benefits. Heard it makes children smart.
Also my pvc is 29%. What can I do to boost it? Thanks.

I dont know much abt pregnancare. But for pvc,are u already on iron tablets,if yes continue. Did u show the pvc result to the dr or nurse? U can include ugwu, garden egg leaf, milk in ur diet. They really helped alot when my pvc was low

Good evening sisters, I have decided to come out of my peeping mode. Was reluctant as I don't belong to this internet age (find it hard to navigate social media #shame I know). #teamdecember here. Edd according to earlier scan 31 Dec, edd according to LMP on apps 4 Jan and the hospital gave 7 Jan but this FT mama shall birth in Dec God willing.

Mamas have said it all but make sure u start using folic acid once a day. It helps alot too. We hope to have u here soon

I suffered serious heartburn for weeks, up all night, miserable and crying my eyes out. Mine was so bad that even water gave me heartburn, none of those antacid works until I began to drink a glass of cold milk, works like magic. Mix a spoon or two of powdered milk in a glass of cold water, drink after meals, the heartburn should stop in few mins. Nevertheless, stay clear of spicy meals and make sure u eat at least an hour before you lay down.
I also chew gum til I doze off when I don't want to drink milk as milk is not in the list of my favorite drinks, gum works really well too.

I think 28 or 27 weeks. Lol. Heartburn na my own padi. I complained at the clinic was given gelusil but it stopped working after 1 week.last week wednesday i complained abt it again the nurse just told me jejely say na pregnancy package say he no fit go.but she gave me jawasil. It works but only gives temporary relief. She also adcised against peppery and hot food

Pls mamas what cause change of edd. My first scan said 18th of dec, next 17th,15th,12th,10th now 7th of december. According to lmp i am 30 weeks but scan and even nurse dey say na 31plus after she measured my belle

You are welcome mama. You will carry your baby and deliver safely by Gods grace. pls try to register asap. As a first time mom u should register early for antenatal o. You can look for a small clinic or even health centre where u are serving so they can be monitoring u then regiater at a proper one where hunbby stays(God will provide financially for u). Hope u are using folic acid ferrous etc?
Lastly sama us ur edd o so ur team captain can add u.

So i had this funny dream o where i was supposedly in the labour room with other preggy mamas. I remember laying on the bed and feeling intense pain in my abdominal region or almost every part of my body sef...very serious pains o. Funny thing is the pain wldnt last for long. I would b relieved for a while and then the pains will start afresh.

Mamas abeg is that how the labour thing is
Bks in the dream it felt like i was in labour and right before my prescence other mamas birthed thiet LOs.

I am a first time mom too and i would like to listen to honest answers. Make i no lie, i have been scared of labour. I even watched youtube videos of women giving birth and i started crying. I am really worried about it

Hello everyone, pls I need help with itchy skin. I get it every morning mostly on my thighs then my legs then stomach and arms. Its bad.
Its like am getting needle pricks all over my body when it starts and it lasts for hours sometimes till early afternoon and it is so uncomfortable, I really want it to stop. I moisturize very well, bath with hot water and lie on clean sheets so I have no idea what the problem is. I tried shea butter but its still there.
Any other cream I can use? Any anti itch cream suggestion? Thanks for helping.

I had itchy skin too at a time,it was all over my body with swellings like mosquito bite sef. But mine was a reaction(according to my dr). Pls complain to a doctor /nurse si they can kmow the actual cause. Also dont use hot water to bathe it triggers itching

went for scan today and baby is already weighing 1.1kg at 26weeks. please someone should tell me what to do in order not to give birth to a very big baby again. i have been watching what i eat since i took in (i eat small quantity of food) my 1st child was big too at birth. #teamjanuary#

Wait o. My last scan at 29 weeks baby was 1.5kg, the one before was 1.4kg. I thought it waa normal. I no want to tear

My doctor asked me whether I skip my prenatals, I had to confess dt yes I do skip (I fit no look my drugs for 2 wks sef). Buh since my previous ANC, I dey knack d drugs bumper to bumper. R u sure u ain't skipping ur drugs?

Skipping ke? I am under strict monitoring by major general husband o. Omega h3 was even added to my prenatals. I take folic acid,ferrous,calcium and omega h3. Although my mil said i should take bco. Me i jump am pass(that thing makes me eat silly). Mayb i would start taking it

Mamas i hail o. The nurse was scolding me today that i am not eating well. See me see trouble. Me that used to be 45kg before i carry belle. Last wek antenatal i weighed 65kg and when i went today i was still 65kg na so scolding start. No be my fault heartburn will not let me rest. I done tire because the nurse was threatening me that i must gain atleast 3kg before next week . Na to dey chop like craze person remain
