Buhari by all account is corrupt as any other politician hence your ascription of integrity to him is ridiculous to say the least.

The only thing different is that Buhari don't know what is happening in his government.

Buhari rigged election?

People like you don't know the power of the president

If buhari wanted apc to win... The contest was so close apc would easily win
But Oshemohle accused GEJ of rigging and money politics even when Osun and Edo States were won by APC.

Was Jonathan not the President then?

They asked for a rerun and not run off .The rerun is limited to the affected areas only
That's the definition of runoff election.

kahal29:
To answer your question objectively I would say NO but this is Nigeria where anything goes. If we don't give room for this rerun we will be creating another Nigerian problem where on an election day your opponent will go to your area of strength, cause trouble there and make INEC to cancel the results from that area thereby making INEC to declare results from areas that there are no issues which will favour him alone.
INEC didn't ask for a rerun rather for a runoff. A rerun will involve every voter rather than 3450 voters.
Politics › Re: Osun Rerun: We Will Resist Any Form Of Conspiracy Against Adeleke – Kwankwaso Wa by LadyExcellency: 9:55am On Sep 25, 2018
It is not a rerun. Just a runoff election in those polling booths with marred circumstances.

From my perspective its called fair dealing in the law which from my last check represented JUSTICE FOR ALL.

1,450,000 Did not vote on the 22nd so don't bring that in the fray. On issues of this nature, the minority who feel disenfranchised have to be heard which is why there is going to be the voting on Thursday for sake of equity
For a guber election and for what Nigeria has become recently, will you advocate for a rerun or a runoff seeing and knowing for a certainty that this number of people (3450) can easily be bought over or paid off?
Politics › Re: Supreme Court Judgement that Upheld INEC Power to Declare Election Inconclusive by LadyExcellency: 9:37am On Sep 25, 2018

If there was cancellation then the onus rests with the aggrieved to seek redress in court and pursue it to the height of the supreme court.

However there is a peculiarity with the Osun polls due to the very slim margin separating both candidates and then with the issue of NO VOTES in one unit, OVER VOTING in another, DISRUPTION in another, ABSCONDING WITH ELECTORAL MATERIALS in another and MANUAL VOTING in another then brings the law to bear because all I just enumerated has been covered under the law for grounds on which a re-run must be conducted based on the peculiarity involved
From my own perspective, it is unfortunate for 3450 voters out of 1,450,000 voters to determine the outcome of an election for a State. I will prefer or rather advice for rerun instead of a runoff election.

From your point of view, what is the meaning of substantial compliance?

All of the above already have legal backing for outright cancellation as declared by law.

The above were the reasons given for cancellation. You have a brain in your head, USE IT!
Why was there no rerun when twelve LGAs were cancelled to declare Aregbesola the winner of Osun State Huber election in 2011? Do you know the reason the court gave.

NB: No insult, don't go personal. Just approach my questions or opinions from scholarly point of view. Thanks

Please define cancellation and tell us where it's applicable in these circumstances.

Void ballot
Over voting
No election
Ballot box snatching
Result alterations

Again, what does circumstantial compliance means to you. What percentage of perfection?

Pdp fans and anti buharists will surely avoid this kind of insightful thread.but once a failed artiste or a misguided celeb attacks inec about the osun polls, they will quickly gather and rant
You don't understand the Crux of the matter.

Polling booths where elections were not held because of INEC limitations is a different ball game to what happened in Osun State. Elections were held, voters were accredited and the results were voided not necessarily cancelled just like what we have with irregular thumbprints on ballots being discarded.

Those booths were supposed to be discarded and not be repeated.
Politics › Re: Osun 2018 Inconclusive Election - Leave Mahmood Yakubu Alone - Dr. Chima Mathew by LadyExcellency: 4:39pm On Sep 24, 2018
PassingShot:
Let us take a look at examples of these inconclusive elections.

Case Number (1)
IMO GUBER ELECTIONS 2015
Okorocha( APGA) —-385,671
Ihedioha( PDP) ——-306,142
Margin———79,529
Cancelled votes——-144,715

From the above, it is evident that the margin or victory was lower than the cancelled votes, a number that is enough to alter the balance. The Commission under Professor Attahiru Jega did the needful and promptly declared the elections inconclusive. Take note that my party, the ruling party then hailed the decision and applauded the decision of the INEC, calling it a “patriotic and sound decision “. Of course,APGA kicked against it.A re-run election was scheduled which APGA won.Recall that a similar situation had happened in 2011 in the same IMO between Okorocha and Ikedi Ohakim where INEC had declared the elections inconclusive because elections did not take place in some wards.

Case Number (2)
ANAMBRA SENATORIAL ELECTION 2011
Dora Akunyili( APGA) ——-66,273
Chris Ngige ( ACN) ——65,576
Margin —697

INEC declared the elections inconclusive because elections did not take place in some wards with a voting population that was higher than the margin of victory.

Case Number (3)
KOGI GUBER ELECTION 2015
Abubakar Audu( APC) —-240,867
Wada Idris ( PDP) —199,514
Margin —————41,353
Cancelled votes ———49,953

Again, the margin here was less than the cancellations and was rightly declared inconclusive by Professor Mahmood Yakubu led INEC. The point to note here was that the APC was by this time the ruling party and clearly had a huge lead but Yakubu still refused to budge under pressure by the ruling party to announce it as winner. My party the PDP applauded it.

CASE NUMBER (4)
BAYELSA GUBER ELECTIONS 2015
Dickson ( PDP) ——-105,748
Sylva ( APC)——72,594
Margin ——-33,154
In the case of Bayelsa, a contraption of an election had taken place in Southern Ijaw which had Sylva winning the entire 120,000 votes in that area, but this much maligned Yakubu refused to accept it , declared it inconclusive and ordered a re-run for the number of registered voters were clearly more than the margin of victory. The PDP received this news well and celebrated it.

CASE NUMBER (5)
ANAMBRA GUBER ELECTION 2013
Obiano ( APGA) —174,710
Tony Nwoye ( PDP) —-94,956
Margin——-79,754
Cancelled votes——-113,113
Again the Commission under Jega declared it inconclusive and the PDP celebrated it as a bold move.

I have taken time to outline these numbers to show that even where the margins were wide, and when logic will suggest that the lead would be insurmountable, so long as it is mathematically possible for someone from a losing position to win an election, it was incumbent on the Umpire NOT to declare a winner.
Nonsense.

Cancelled results is different from Elections not held in those boots.

Why not recall the nullified/voided ballots to come back and rethumb print?

Those boots were deemed to be void and cancelled hence no repeat needed

It's Obvious Samsung Produces Better Smartphones Than Apple, One on One.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is Bae... But I See No Reason to Upgrade Yet. Samsung Made a Smart Move With The New S-Pen which is The MAIN and ONLY Reason to Upgrade As Far As I'm Concerned.

I Tried The Note 9 S-Pen on My Note 8, It Functions Properly as a S-Pen But The Remote Control Features Didn't Work with The Note 8.

Still, I See No Reason Why a Nigerian With a Note 8 Should Upgrade to The Note 9. They Are ALMOST The Same. wink
Why buy S-pen when ordinary pencil does the job. Just sharpen the pencil and open the space on the pencil to grip with your hand. Voilà it works
