2special: I pray so but 3 States in the North is enough to cancel out all those states you listed just that the one from the North will be divided between APC and PDP.
Not with BVAS. It was all manipulated results using the incident form.
Even those children that vote in the North will not be able to vote if BVAS functions at optimum.
Whoever abolished history in Nigeria did a great disservice to this generation of youths who have been fed with divisive and bigoted half truth about our Heroes past and how they were united against all odd.
The other day, an article was published with a headline that Awo was stoned in Aba while the details was the advice from Awo to Yorubas to work with Igbos in politics for common good of Nigeria.
Where is all these bitterness coming from? I supposed, it more of religion than ethnicity.
Followers of Mr. Bola Tinubu"...... you’re only doing your job and you’re working hard indeed, so I understand your overzealousness. You said I’m creating a new agenda for Afenifere? How?? Has Afenifere not been in the vanguard of various battles against injustice in Nigeria over the years? On killings in Agatu, Southern Kaduna, Zamfara, etc, Afenifere is always among the first to condemn the killing of the innocent and call for justice while the likes of you would say the police should not arrest anyone as it is “two-fighting”. Contrary to your narrow viewpoint, the fight for justice is not a “new agenda” for Afenifere. It has always been the ethos and major driving force of the organization. Our motto is “Abundant Life FOR ALL”. And one of the big codes of that is “Ẹnikan Kii Jẹ Kilẹ o fẹ". Yorubas, as a people, are not selfish and we hate anyone to be like that. Anyone who says all these to you guys today is, to you, an enemy driven by “inunibini” (hatred) or “envy of unimaginable proportions”. You said Afenifere was not formed as a party. What a misguided statement! Afenifere was the Yoruba name for the Action Group when it was formed. “Egbe Afenifere” was the by-word by which the party and its ethos were advertised/popularised among the Yoruba populace. It remains a party till this day but your own militarized understanding of Nigerian politics tells you a party must be registered by a registering authority who may say yes or no to your registration as a party. But the dictionary defines a party as “a group of persons with common political opinions and purposes organized for gaining political influence and governmental control and for directing government policy: e.g, the Republican Party; the Democratic Party. You pointed out the issue between Awolowo and Zik. Yes they were eternal rivals but when Akintola aligned with the North against Awolowo and his party, have you forgotten that it was Michael Okpara and other Igbo he approached and formed a formidable political alliance (United Progressive Grand Alliance, UPGA) with?? Have you forgotten that Sam Goomsu (S.G) Ikoku, an Igbo, supported Awo so loyally and totally that he contested on Awo’s party platform against, and humiliated, his own father, Alvan Ikoku, in an election?? Have you forgotten that the same Ikoku, still Igbo, followed Awolowo to jail in the treasonable felony trial of 1963?? Have you forgotten also that another Igbo, Chief Phillip Umeadi, was Awolowo’s running mate in the 1979 presidential election? Did you know that the National Organising Secretary of Awolowo’s Unity Party Party of Nigeria was Chief MCK Ajuluchukwu and the First National Vice President was Mama Oyibo Odinamadu?? All at a time when Igbo icon and national leader, Zik, was running against Awo in the elections but these guys remained solidly with Awo. And you guys would choose to conveniently forget all these and use a supposed offense of Zik against Awo to argue that the Igbo be not allowed or supported to be President in Nigeria?? You said Igbo did not vote Abiola. Must they?? Did Abiola not win in Anambra and did he not make a good showing in the other states? Did Igbo men Chukwuemeka Ezeife, Ndubuisi Kanu, Ralph Uwechue, Ralph Obioha and Ebitu Ukiwe not risk their all to fight for Abiola and June 12?? You forget all these and you think Igbo should be stopped from being president while your man is helped to get there. You’re so angry, you’re almost cursing Afenifere and me but your anger is understandable. Some of us are not making any business in politics and I have no financial or political gain to make from any politician or political group. I no go Cuba or anywhere. Mine is purely a contribution based on the principles of truth, fairness, equity and justice. Whoever wins is not my business after that. I have no horse in this race. I suffer no personal loss if Obi loses next year. Many Tinubu supporters cannot say that if their guy loses.” .
Bashorun Segun Sanni(Afenifere Chief Economic Adviser)
Aguiyi1020: I am waiting for dt parents. I dey teach for Nigeria and my salary is less than 35k. When other countries teachers are one of d most paid.
Confusion in the camp of failures.
Double failures and losers everywhere......
Supporters of looters, failures and criminals and terrorists Una go collect .......
CITY BOY on the moveeeeee......
This one thinks we are using the incident form and old electoral laws, it's all over. BVAS has taken away the mandate to elect candidates from the chief executives to the people. One man, one vote.
johnmartus: Peter obi is a fucking criminal who stolen billion during his tenure as a chairman of fidelity bank helped many politicians laundering money.
Also confiscated the dead people money to his own personal use.
Two fully loaded bullion vans of N1,000 and dollar bills are just gifts from a politician to facilitate fraud in an election is worst than murder in a democracy.
3ple9iner: I disagree with you on this. The people who are not supporting Tinubu are 1) Those who believe that this administration has failed. They believe nothing good can come out of the APC and so would vote against anybody from the APC. They are the ones who would say why didn't Tinubu advise Buhari on how to make Nigeria better. Now imagine the Vice president or an ex-minister contesting what would they say?
2) Those who have never liked Tinubu don't like him for anything, they would rather vote for a failure than vote for Tinubu.
3) Those who are asking for a SE president and those who sympathize with them.
4) Those who believe Tinubu is too old. These categories of people believe he is competent but sees his age as a hindrance.
these are some of the things I have noticed from people who are not supporting Tinubu reason why they hardly argue on competency but other stuff.
But I will vote for Tinubu if the election goes to a rerun between Atiku and Tinubu for southern solidarity without minding the Muslim-Muslim ticket.
johnmartus: Are You asking a former executive thief governor where he gets money from? Later his people will tell you he is a former chairman of the world bank.
Is this a campaign topic that APC BMC raised on Saturday night as a winning campaign strategy?
Attack Atiku your main rival and leave Peter Obi, a political experiment.
Jibrinpapa: He can only deceive criminals like him but for we here in the north, he can't.
You can't stop the ability of Nigerian Youths to unite across the divide. Let the campaign start and see if Nigerian youths won't break barriers and all odds to choose Peter Obi as a means of retiring old politicians and their cronies.
Okoroawusa: Tonyebarcanista is not and has never been a bully on Nairaland. We have always been on different divides every election season but I see him as a friend.
For David the cyberbully, let him continue. Reno does pass like before and after the 2015 election.... how market today?
Tonye Barcanista is a chronic anti-Igbo bigot unless when the Igbos were supporting his candidate. He has this seated hatred for anything Igbo interests.
He showed his true colours in 2014 when he spearheaded the early campaign of Mohammadu Buhari before changing like the chameleon he is.
Second Niger Bridge... Mambila power plant, Lagos-Ogun-Ibadan Standard guarge.. Onitsha river port, Siemens Power project
These are projects that are feasible and economically sustainable
Nothing is wrong in borrowing for capital projects especially if we have capacity to pay back... My only issue is with inflating contracts and budget padding
.
Remove 2nd Niger Bridge from there. It's a public private bridge. Users own and paid for it.
Kyase: Sarki posted on twitter some months ago that Obi supporters came to him for support For those that read some replies if not all They were all saying he should accept to eat their money and they will do the same Aswear obi supporters are the most gullible
At last he made this polling possible.
Tinubu got zero votes, Obi defeated Atiku, and Kwankwaso on the street poll in Kaduna. No publicity is insignificant.
Moh247: Were they elected by Lagosians or simply imposed via military decree?!
Since 1993 Tinubu has given his best to Nigerian democracy yet Ibos won't appreciate the man that accommodated them
You guys are hypocrite...
A Yoruba man would never open a thread to insult anyone's city.. but you guys do it happily
Don't lump me with your types. I can't stoop that low.
I thought you were different until you prove me wrong. A chronic bigot and militant Islamist you are.
Igbo people don't know if you exist because no one man or group can teleguide an ethnicity of more than 40,000,000 people because of an ambition of one man. You should be ashamed of yourself. Igbo people fear no one.
If a whole Ikolaba(Lasun Yusuf) could get just 2000+ votes in the guber election because of his Party, is it unknown Obi that you're all dreaming he'll get up to 2% vote in the general election?
You're all delusional
Live city televised poll in Ibadan was won by Peter Obi.
Another one in Kaduna was won by Peter Obi, yet your eyes never clear.
babyfaceafrica: Physiological women age faster. Check a 40 year old man and 30-year-old woman. You will barely notice. Let me give you an example. Muyiwa ademola and Ibrahim chata are in their 50s, please compare them to the actress in their 40s physically
I don't know your clan, In my clan, a 50-year-old woman looks as young as a 30-year-old man when they appear in cooperate attire.
babyfaceafrica: Please we are in Nigeria. Kanu married his wife 18,omotola jalade married her husband when she was barely 20...as long as you are above age of 18..there is absolutely nothing wrong in it. What USA govt doesn't count.. Thank you
Stop using another generation as reference. In USA we have baby boomers, Millennials etc. They have different characteristics and lifestyle. An 8 years old of those days is wiser than an 18 year old today's lady.
babyfaceafrica: No. Professor yemi osibanjo senior his wife by 12 years. Check online. The most important thing is for both to be mature. Ladies age faster than men, so he my opinion it's okay
The life expectancy of women is higher than that of men.
Which tribe is that where women age faster than men? In my clan, young men age twice faster as ladies.
silvoclaira: I think that dating anyone younger should be done casually with expectations kept in check It just depends on the person, not his or her age.
Dating her will make him to disrespect his aunts and elder siblings.
