Travel / Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by LadyIE: 8:15pm On Oct 16, 2023
Good day all. I am trying to renew my US visa as I am eligible for Dropbox. I have completed the DS-160 form and went to the portal to schedule a visa interview. I completed all required information and inputted my receipt number. After this was done, I got the next prompt which was “your request to schedule an appointment has been received and will be reviewed. You will receive your request once your request is approved “ I would like to know if this response is normal. Is it after approval I would be able to pick a date to drop off my passport? Also, how long do I have to wait before I can receive the email approval? I would appreciate your kind response. Thanks

3. The palm oil is frozen, 4. The major banks will only open for you after landing as a Nigerian, you can contact national bank if they still open for those yet to land.

Good day everyone, please I’m about traveling with my family to Winnipeg, I have some concerns as I have two kids aged 4 and 2. How do I get them into a school or daycare center while I work? Does anyone have an idea of the average cost of kids school fees at Winnipeg?
2. Please what time of sim is advisable to purchase for myself and spouse? Do we get individual SIM cards or we go for a family plan
3. Also has anyone traveled with palm oil? How did you carry it?
4. Are there banks I could open an account with from Nigeria?

I don't think you need a driving extract anymore, though I don't know if it differs by province. You just show them your original drivers license they will access all your records.

Good day house, please does anyone have a contact in Lagos that can help process driving abstract for me? I mean the document that shows the number of years I’ve been driving in Nigeria so I can use this in Canada. Thank you

Thank you so much. So when applying for this medical should I select “Upfront”? Since I do not have a medical request. Thank you
Bobomaigida:

Since the med is expiring in Jan, you need to do another one except you are entering CAD before the expiry date. This is to be on the safe side if it requested for at any time. But you do not have to send it, except they request for it, let the clinic send the report to them.

Hello am on the same boat with this person. I applied on Friday 03/12/2021 and paid for super priority against Monday which is 6/12/2021.does it mean I won’t get a refund after cancellation? Since I applied on Friday and canceled on Saturday
Ogidigan1:
"Cancel your visa and get a refund:

If you do not want a visa any more, you can ask for a refund. You can only request a refund if:

you have not yet been to the Visa Application Centre to give your biometrics (fingerprints and photograph)

And

you want your visa application to be cancelled. A refund means that your application will not be processed.

You may have paid a User Pay Visa Application Centre fee as part of your application, depending on the Visa Application Centre you chose for your appointment. You will only get a refund of this part of your fee if you cancel your application and claim a refund more than 5 days ahead of your scheduled appointment date.

If your request for a refund is successful, your money will be refunded to the same account you used when you paid for your application"

Dear all,

My biometric appointment at TLS Ikeja is built for 9th Dec, i also wish to cancel my visa application today 5th Dec, but based on the excepts above, do you think I can get a refund from TLS (N42,000 premium lounge + N8,000 express courier) and UKVI ( $133 application fees+ GBP220 priority fees)? since its already less than 5 days to the biometric appointment?

Pls, I look forward to your urgent responses. Thank you.

Cancel your appointment now because once it’s 24 hours to your appointment, you can’t cancel and that means you’ve dashed them the money.

I said that because my brother & his Family applied for 6months Standard Visa and he put in £4000 for himself, Spouse, Son & Daughter and did a letter each for them explaining he will be taking care of all their expenses including flight, accommodation, feeding, daily expenses etc. You dnt need to put in diff amounts because that will require your spouse providing her own bank statement. They applied on the 30th August. Wife got 30th Sep, Son 5th Oct, Daughter 6th Oct while he got his 7th Oct.

Same thing you put in your application should be the same thing you put for your spouse and children. Then you do a letter for each of your Family member explaining to the ECO that you will take care of all their expenses(Flight,Accommodation, feeding etc)

Hello In completing the visitor visa application,
For the question on how much do you plan to spend for this trip?

What do I put?

I have already put the entire cost for the family trip in my own application..5K pounds.
Now for spouse’s application do I need to put 5K again ? Or what do I do.
I don't know if putting 5K for her will double the intended funds
Anticipating your kind response

I don’t know what the problem is. The dates available are under super priority but I’m searching for priority. My question is if I’m to do walk-in should I bother about getting a date on TLS?
Hycon:

2 days ago when I submitted an application, they had available lots of date in December. I also did priority service. How come you couldn’t get a date?

I chose date and time with the arrows. Did I do something wrong?

Mine was self upload

Hello all I just completed my application for visitor’s visa but I would like to do walk in for my biometrics. as am unable to get a date on TLS website for my biometrics. I need priority processing and assisted service. My question is since I can’t get appointment online how do I fill my basket for these services ?or I do not need to do anything since I’m opting for walk-in. Thanks for your response.

Priority is now 10 working days o. They're saying that standard is 20-40 working days but i'm choosing to stay hopeful.

Thank you so much
Debbieeeeeee:

Due to the pressure on them at the moment I’ll say book an appointment, the day of my biometrics they didn’t take walk-In
Priority is either 24 hours or 5 working days and no one can say for sure if it’ll be longer .
Lately they’ve been under intense pressure due to many applications of course and timelines face taken longer but it seem September & October applicants are the most affected by this. So far things have been smooth for November applicants

Also if I’m to go through Priority route will it be for 5days or would it be longer? Can someone help me out with the processing days used for priority
Thanks for your kind response

Request for your GCMS notes so you have a guide on why you were rejected and work on those areas

Amen. Thank you so much

A decision has already been made on your application. Congratulations in advance.
No knows the outcome but I believe it's positive for you.
You don't need the slip just attach the BVL you just got with the documents you'll send later to abuja. I'm hoping you know the requirements already and the fees to be paid.

Hopefully you'll come back here and we congratulate you properly.

Good day house. After waiting for several months for PPR, correspondence letter (BVL) drops with no Final decision attached. what does this mean please? Has anyone experienced this? Are the outcomes usually positive? What are your advice also?
Also my biometric slip was done in Lagos and the slip is missing. What do I do if I send my passport to Abuja to get the visa stamped on it. Thank you

PPR ALERT !!!!!!!!
Finally I received PPR letter for my husband and daughter today. I filed for both his work permit and my daughter's study permit July 2021. The whole process pulled through, glory be to God !

Travel / Re: Canada Spouse Open Work Permit (sowp)timeline by LadyIE: 12:04am On Nov 18, 2021
Request for GCMS notes. Takes 30days to be received.
I do not think not having a travel history would deny him of getting a visa if he has everything accurate in his documents
atoke2021:
Hello all,
I wanted to inquire how we would know if IRCC has uploaded the supporting documents sent to them via webform. We sent the police certificate and proof of home ties via lagos webform one month after submitting out application but did not get any reply if it is now part of our application.
I would really appreciate any help on what to do?
I also had another question regarding how travel history affects chances of approval. My husband (the spouse applying form Nigeria) has never left the country before. Will that count unfavorably for him?

Thank you for your insights on this issue.
