You are exempted as your first degree was taught in English, you only need your certificate.

If further evidence is required then you can get a letter from your school.

Good luck, see you in Edinburgh

Most Universities accept a minimum of C6 in waec or Neco as proof of English,

Did you submit any of the above as part of your application?

Will do just that. Thank you

What you can do is to write to the school that you are taught in English. You can also ask your primary university (unilag) a letter that shows you were taught in English. But most universities waive IELTS for Nigerians with Wassce.

Good day everyone. Please is career progression important when applying for study visa? Or it doesn’t matter if I switch from what I studied at BSc level. Thank you
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 6 by LadyIE: 9:46am On Aug 23, 2021
Thank you. I really want to know if it affects one in getting a visa just like it’s done in Canada. Thank you
Dumebi213:
As long you can write a good personal statement to your school and explain any gap years you should be fine.

Yes you can all apply together as long as you have sufficient funds(POF) to cover for everyone.

Good morning all, I am new tothis thread. I’ve been pursuing Canada student visa and have been denied twice reason is « I do not convince the VO officer I will return. I intend coming to the US for studies.
1. I want To know if career progression is a criteria for getting visa approved ? 2. I have two kids ages 3 and 2 who are US citizens. Can i apply for study visa with them? I mean can I state that they will accompany me while I study? Or will that be a red flag for refusal ?
Your response is highly appreciated
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by LadyIE: 7:15am On Apr 12, 2021
Thank you so much. I really appreciate your response
olasubomy:
Having a family like that ( husband and kids) and applying alone strengthens your home tie because the VO would know there is a high tendency of you coming back home after your studies as you cannot abandon your family. Although, it can also be seamless if your children are still very tender or in their kindergarten age and so young that they always need to be around their mum. This will now depend on how you are able to convince the VO showing sufficient financial documentary proof that you can take good care of them and won't be any burden to the Government of Canada. This all depends on how you can draft your SOP to look convincing and appealing to the emotions of the visa officer.

Although it might be a different ball game if your children are grown-ups, that does not mean one cant still get approval but depends on how you are able to package your application or you may want to leave them behind with your husband so that serves as your home tie and they join you later in Canada.

You cannot really base your decision on the past applicants because final verdicts on applications are on a case-by-case basis. I wish you the best as you make your decision.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by LadyIE: 2:44pm On Apr 11, 2021
Sure I know the VO has the final decision. Just want to know if it’s best applying for visa together with my kids based on people’s past application
Lagbaja88:
only the visa officer can determine that based on your situation and your application packaging.

Can someone please advise?

Good day fam!! I intend applying for a study permit if given admission. But I would like to know my chances of getting a visa as I am married with two kids ages 1 and 3. I was denied study visa twice in 2017. I got admission to study MBA back then but my BSc is in chemistry. Now I intend applying for a course related to my first degree. But my major issue is getting a visa and also my kids accompanying me. Although they’re both US citizens. Your response and advice would be highly appreciated
