Decision to migrate – July 2018

WES
I paid on July 24, sent a mail to my school with details and they posted transcripts to WES, DHL delivered to WES 31st July, but only received mail from WES that all documents had been received on the 23rd of August. Assessment was ready by Sept 12. Similar process for Spouse’s WES.

I haven't seen any too. But he/she can be the first. If it's postively evaluated, that will set a trend for a new additional certificate.

Stencil:
I thought about this too. I haven't seen anyone on here use it but as a transcript was issued, it might be worth a try.

Yes you can claim it as normal work experience as long as you can get a reference letter and there is evidence of payment.

Sharonyeah:
Hello guys, please I have a very important question and I will appreciate if anyone can help with an answer, especially if you have the same experience.
My company partnered with a US based company which I work with but from Nigeria, the US compy pay my salary to the Nigerian compy who then pay me. I can get a reference letter from the US comp to show as evidence that I work with them. I noticed this will earn me 50 more points. Is it okay to claim this.

In other words, your JD fits about 50% of the NOC. I don't think it's a good percentage. Perhaps you can find another NOC that is a better fit? NOC issues are sensitive. It's best to ensure all or 95% of your duties are covered by that NOC, to be safe. You don't want to give the VO a reason to question your eligibility.

December30:
Dear All,

please i would like to know if my JD must reflect everything stated in my NOC. My NOC is 1241 and my JD only fits 7 out of the 13 duties expected. Please should I be concerned about this? I will appreciate your response. thank you

Is this SOA to prove work experience? If yes, silence.
Is it for POF? If yes, explain.

CIC needs to be sure your POF is debt free

Hello guys, quick one please.

Were you already invited to apply? If yes, go ahead.

I saw this on cicnews website "It (Saskatchewan, sic) added that candidates who received an invitation to apply prior to the removal of their occupation from the list can still apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence"

https://www.cicnews.com/2019/04/saskatchewan-draws-candidates-with-specific-work-experience-revises-in-demand-occupations-list-0412203.html#gs.t8ff66

So you should be fine. Add an LOE in your PNP application that you got an invitation to apply when your profession was in-demand. If you can put links or attach screenshots at the time with date stamps, that might help. All the best.

Of course you can. Your wish is CIC's command. I would not use the word "remove" if it's my CSE tho, it sounds so violent to refer to a child grin Request that you would like CIC to consider your adopted dependant as unaccompanying onwards due to change in certain circumstances. You still have to submit the medicals tho.

Scbhoviv:
Plz house good evening. I want to ask if there is a way an adopted dependent can be removed from an application . Will raising a cse suffice or is it impossible? Plz anyone with answers should please help out. Thanks

Hmm! What a dilemma!

Damage-control would be my advice since he's post-AOR. Don't withdraw the application. The process is too long post-AOR, it takes months. Let him go for the biometrics. Since previous posts on this page has established that the nature of the outcome depends on the VO, my advice would be to preempt the VO's decision. Raise a CSE afterwards explaining that he strongly believes his LLB is a professional degree despite WES evaluation because IRCC stipulates LLBs as professional/master degrees, and add a screenshot of the page where IRCC shows that in the CRS ranking tool or any other page. He can claim he's a victim of this IRCC/WES confusion, lol. How he words the LOE is important, I hope he uses the right words. The VO might consider and grant him PPR or the he might reject and recalculate his scores, it's 50:50.

As a back-up plan, let him also do another ECA with IQAS now (if he can afford it. If he's rejected, he will have to afford it anyway), so that in the event of a rejection (assuming the ECA is the reason for the rejection, hopefully not), he can appeal and upload his new ECA requesting that his file be reopened. IRCC is most likely to reopen it because of the new updated document. Or if the appeal is not successful, he can comfortably re-enter the pool and use his new IQAS evaluation to claim more points. I think either way he wins with IQAS as a back-up plan.

I would also advise he raises GCMS early 3-3.5 months post-AOR so he can quickly detect if the VO still has any issues with his ECA

All the best.

ibrotee0:
I am asking for a friend please

A post by a fellow group member made me raise my query as well. I am a B.A. LL.B (Hons.) graduate. I had pursued a 5 year integrated course after 12th. I got my degree evaluated from WES and received a dual bachelors degree (4 years) as my ECA report. I am retaining the services of a consultant to pursue my PR process. My consultant when creating my EE profile mentioned my qualification as Masters/Professional degree. Upon asking them they gave the same reason that since LLB is a licensed profession so they will mention the same on my EE profile.
I received my ITA on 1st May, 2019 and AOR on 26th June, 2019. My medicals got passed today on 26th July, 2019. I am supposed to submit my Biometrics on 2nd August, 2019.
Now since WES says dual bachelors degree and my EE profile mentions professional degree, will there be any consequences as regards the same? Can I take any amendment or retractive steps or let things go as they are..??

Any insightful suggestions will be highly appreciated.
TIA

Oh I get you now, that's sad to hear.

There's a moniker here some pages back that claimed he tweeted CIC and they told him to claim professional degree for law when WES evaluated it as BSc. I hope he reads this.

their website says her course was a professional degree wes said it was BSC. she went with CIC. during completeness check they should have detected and thrown it back. but they checked 6 months gone. she learnt the hard way

Good morning my good friends. My application has crossed the 6 months timeline. I omitted the address in my bank statement of account in my address history on cic form because it was a temporary address I used just to update the account. I'm worried this may be the cause of my PPR delay. should I raise CSE and explain? though no ADR concerning it. my eligibility was met 2months ago according to Ralph.

I'll appreciate your suggestions dear seniors.

@bold is incorrect

But if tax is automatically deducted on the website you work and you are sure the tax deductions applies to your income not that of your clients and contractors, print out those tax deductions as proof.
Ologunsunny:

Thanks for your response, but I don't see where it is compulsory to be paying tax in the requirements, the tax only applies to people in Canada, because tax is automatically deducted from the website I work sir.

Go for it. You might be lucky

But note that not having a physical shop does not relieve you of your tax obligations (in case you get tax clearance ADR and want to provide LOE instead, that is not an excuse). It doesn't matter where you do business (heaven or earth; sky or sea). The global rule is you must report taxes in the country where you live, pay your bills and enjoy the infrastructure.
Ologunsunny:

Thanks for the reply sir, but in my case, I don't have a physical shop base on the nature of the job and again the reference letters none is coming from Nigeria, from Italy, USA and Co, but I do have enough bank deposits which I can use to proof. It is still reasonable than a person who opens a shop in Nigeria but does not have a tax record, the reason why I must claim this point is because that is the only job I have and willing to continue before pr enter, I just want to try and shoot my shot, and another thing is that me and those clients are still working till date. I see someone in quora who did same and claim he got pr

The instruction is clear. Work exp over 10 years does not count. Even if it qualifies you for PNP, at the federal level, CIC would strike it out and recalculate your ITA scores.
