It is the tradition of this thread to mark PPR stories to encourage others who are awaiting PPR and to guide pre-ITA applicants who are gathering documents. The more detailed the story, the more motivation and inspiration others get. Go through part 8 and read some of the stories smiley and share yours with us when you get PPR

Adobe pdf has highlighter or marker. You can do either, highlight pre or post scanning

otunoba1:
Dear Seniors,

Please can one use this tempo like highlighter to highlight some parts of ones statement of account before scanning or how else can one go about this?

Please assist.

Being a military man is not a problem, as long as you've not been in any problematic peacekeeping mission, charged with crimes against humanity or declared a persona non-grata domestically or internationally, security verifications would not be a problem. There is no correlation between long processing times and being a military man. Go ahead and apply like every normal civilian in this journey. What do you mean by notary? If you can't get a reference from your supervisor, get from your colleague and notarize it. I think your colleague will have to sign an affidavit or so, confirm this part on page one. Do your research.

talkme:
Hello house am a military officer and want to migrate to canada with my family.. how is easy is it as a military man. Am in IT and have like 7 years work experience. After passing IELTS general what is my chance of scaling through. Also if I dont want to get reference from the military can I use a notary for it? God bless

@cochtrane boss, are you the same cochtrane I read about in earliest parts. As in @glitteringstar set? How is Canny? I'm seeing your posts in last pages of part 8. What brought you back to our humble thread after such a long hiatus? I hail o grin grin

@Richness1104 congrats on your PPR. Thanks for sharing your script in the previous part. It was inspiring. You score 9/10.

@Psalmizt bro how far? Heard from VO yet?

@jpj I am looking forward to reading your script. VO would release it very soon, I can feel it coming soonest. Don't despair.

@eyesondprize your ielts testimony is so inspiring. You never gave up. This part is yours. You will testify here and PPR will come. Congrats on your ielts win

@Remicynt: You can use any of those experiences as your NOC but since you're really concerned with consistency as that of your marriage certificate, you can use your 2012 role as a teacher if your primary NOC is teaching, then move your promotion as school admin to personal history. Or you can use school principal from 2014 and move your old position as teacher to personal history. It depends on what your primary NOC is. If any of the teacher or school principal roles are up to three years, use that one and move the rest to personal history.

For all those asking for ielts remark, you never know until you try, no matter the module. If you can afford to remark and retake, do both.

I have updated the remaining hall of fame list of Part 8 on page 1 in this part. If you got PPR in part 8 and your monikers is not on either list, let me know. I'll assume the responsibility for this part. Btw, everything happened so fast this morning grin got query on why I didnt create a new thread during the weekend, created new part asap, got banned and unbanned again. I hadn't even finished reading the last pages of part 8 grin

Welcome to this new thread. May you all get PPR in this part and may we have more PPR scripts and faster processing times by CIC. May the scores and draws be favorable too. @Mamaroon @stencil, @Adunnee @iaatmguy @yemblaze @majamisile @johnnybravo1990 @jjohndoe83 @ladywinterfell @temigee @bankyh1905 @teeielts360 @Ednut1 @Tina26 this is your part, I am so eager to update your monikers in the earliest part of this hall of fame. The wait has been long enough, I'm praying and hoping it would happen asap.

To make this easier so I don't get overwhelmed, I'll handing over the marking responsibility of marking the scripts to @Yemblaze who I strongly nominate openly, if she is willing. She has been so consistent on this thread, understands the marking style and I am very confident she will carry on the script marking tradition until she gets PPR. Hey sis, do you accept? If you do, you can choose a capable assistant whenever you can. If not, I'll nominate someone else.

May we enjoy this part. Parts 1-8, Page 1 of this part and the search bar are great resources for all kinds of questions. We have dealt with over 90% of express entry questions. Let's research first before asking questions so we don't clutter the thread. Let's reserve the pages for customized enquires and special cases.

THE BASIC PROCESS

If you’re eligible to immigrate under one of the federal immigration programs:

• You will be placed in a pool with others who are also eligible.

• You will be ranked with others using several factors such as your skills, experience, education and other factors.

• You will get an Invitation to Apply (ITA) to a specific program if you are a top candidate. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducts Express Entry draws at regular intervals (usually every two weeks). In these Express Entry draws, candidates above a certain rank are invited to apply for Canadian permanent residence.

• You can apply online for permanent residence when you get an Invitation to Apply (ITA). Invited candidates are given 60 days to submit an online application for permanent residence including all supporting documentation.

PRE - ITA

ELIGIBILITY

You must meet the minimum entry criteria to be eligible for the Federal Skilled Worker Program.

*Skilled Work Experience
You need to have at least one year continuous, full-time (at least 30 hours of paid work per week) or equivalent part-time work experience in an occupation that is categorized under NOC A, B or 0 in the past 10 years. Check the National Occupational Classification (NOC) to learn the skill type of your work experience.

*Language
You must take approved language tests in English or French and get a minimum score of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 in all 4 abilities (writing, reading, listening and speaking). CLB 7 equals 6 under IELTS.

*Education
You must complete a minimum of secondary (high school) schooling to get any point under education.

Proof of Funds
You must show that you have enough money to settle in Canada. You can’t borrow this money from another person. You must be able to use this money to pay the costs of living for your family (even if they aren’t coming with you). The amount of money you need to support your family is set by the size of your family. The figure changes every year. Check the current value here

You must also to score at least 67 points out of 100 under selection factors to be eligible.
You can manually calculate your points using the six selection factors as outlined on CIC’s website.

ESTIMATE YOUR CRS SCORE

If you are eligible, you will be ranked in the pool according to points based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Criteria.

The CRS criteria is based on:
Age
Skills
Education
Language ability
Work experience
Other factors

Use the CRS tool to estimate your CRS score: here.
To estimate, under language, use a minimum of Listening – 8, Writing – 7, Reading – 7 and Speaking – 7 to estimate your score.

If your CRS score is above 440, you may be able to get an ITA based on current trends.
If your CRS score is between 400 and 440, you may be eligible for a Provincial PNP nomination.

@johnnybravo and I started coaching Ielts around the same time for free. But one-on-one coaching for Ielts is not easy and is so time engaging and demanding. I couldn’t keep up, but he kept on and he is very good at the tutorials. We have been praising Liz and Jay for their great Ielts materials and online tutoring and they don’t even know us. Should we stop recommending Liz and Jay just because the accolades are much and because they charge a fee for personalized services? Let’s praise our own too unreservedly. Johnnybravo is not a scam please. He’s authentic and deserve the accolades for his good work. Good work also deserves to get paid.

You don’t get ghosts after you raise CSEs, you get an acknowledgement email.
Ghost updates come when there’s an update in your file from IRCC. And you only see it after logging into your account. Sometimes you might see what change, other times you might not.

PLSHELEP:
I've raised thee CSEs and haven't gotten any of those ghosts. I hear they are not very punctual nowadays.

Congrats.

Q2. We can’t see the future. Should in case your sister, 20 years from now, petitions Canada to release her children to her, as a pretext for her to come to Canada and the Canadian government does a dna test and you’re not the father, do you know you and those kids could lose citizenship and right of residence for misrepresentation? God forbid tho. But siblings relations can degenerate or worsen over the years, remember that.

Do the right thing and adopt them pre-ITA. This legally protects you and them, in case of any family quarrel between you and your sis in future.

Guccigucci:

2. I am married with one biological child but my younger sister had a set of twins at a tender age and I have been their father all this while (on their birth certificate im listed as their father).i plan on including them as my dependents in my application. Please I have one fear During the medicals is there any way (DNA test) that they would detect that they are not my biological kids? Or what should I do ?

Please House advise me accordingly
