Career / Re: Bankers' Forum by ladynoni(f): 5:36pm On Dec 17, 2007
HYBRID-X:

I completely agree with the last poster, i am a banker as well(swimming in the ocean).You see, whether u are in marketing dept,operations,capital management,admin e.t.c.

what matters the most is how you make the best of the opportunity and time given to you.
i ised to be in operations(core operations) but after a while i got bored ,lucky for me i moved to marketing.as i speak i have gained so much out of it(not just sitting staring at the computer all day)i have no regrets,

as per the targets, its no big deal every management has to have a target, how do u acheive sucess if u don't set a target, its so unfortunate that in marketing targets are limited to figures alone, when i was in operation we had targets and it was a must to surpass the targets in other to have success,

my target in life is to be successsful,engage myself in what i enjoy doing "wrap up my career around my passion", i have discovered my passions, i am on that trail of seeing how i can convert it into a lucrative passion, and very soon i will achieve that success, marketing has given me the exposure and opportunity to meet with a lot of people who have taken that bold step and are millionaires today, bankers are amongst them, they always tell me that it takes a lot of courage as a salary earner to decide to become a salary payer.

in sipmle terms people, lets discover our passion, put to best of use what ever we might be engagement in presently, make the best of it, then finnaaly set a target for urselves, "wrapp up our careers around our passion"

cheers,

hybrid-x, that is the word (PASSION), and it is not a cliche, Passion is the fuel that drives the vehicle of career success. The gift of a man would bring him before great men, but the passion of a man can build him a mansion of joy unspeakable full of glory.

@ delaronte, magraw and other bankers in the house:

I got the feel that what keeps you at the beat is the fat pay, there is no passion nor joy in the labor you put in, right?

I am a blogger and not a banker and I am daily thrilled and rejoice in my labor and the pay (about $2,000), is still okay for me.

What you need is step to the next level (lol). Change your career and wrap it around your passion. Should you have passion and skill for writing like me, then give blogging a go, and you would thank God for doing what you like and being get paid for it. ciao

Aleksys:

When on earth, Jesus supported the building of a befitting place of worship to the living God. Hence the widow's mite that has become the yardstick for measuring the spirit behind our giving to the Lord. Mary Magdalene masaged Jesus legs with expensive oil and Judas complained, he (Judas) suggested that the money Mary used to buy the expensive oil could be used to feed the poor. Jesus simply told him that "You shall always have the poor among you".
Therefore whatever or how much we spend to glorify God in any way should not be a subject of controversy.

@ Aleksys: Upon your profound reasoning I stand. Leave the mockers and 'blasphemers' to answer to God. It would be ridiculous of us to fight for, or defend God. He is more than enough to defend HIMSELF against these chaps. Eru re nba mioo, Oba to fidi aye soleoo, eru re nba mii.

Don't forget that el cuerpo is one of his latest acts, he surely has grown fatter and more muscular. he was no longer the slender "Antonio Rodolfo" of la mujer de mi vida. The same goes for Ana Silvetti, "Abigail" who played the role of the wicked mother of "Antonio Rodolfo".

It possible that adding weight may have aided the sophisticated cameras to manipulate his height to look a bit like a giant anyway.

@mindspring,

that is true, the latest figure was released last month September, and it showed that 3 million new internet users joined the 5milion as at last year, making 8million users now.

Na wah oo. 3 additional million users in 12 months! I can't wait for the explosion. it is a shame that PHCN is not availble for majority of the users, it would have accelerated the growth.

My husband. Aderemi Ojikutu, He inspired, tutored and mentored me to blog.

He used u (Seun Osewa, he called you a youth prodigy), as a case study to inspire me to go for it!

I have passion for soap operas which graduated into telenovelas. he triggered me to blog and share the soaps, so I started, and it was fun until money began to roll in. Then I quickly learn optimization and properly monetized my blogs. Today I have about 8 blogs and I make a little over a thousand dollars monthly from my blogging activities.

like he taught me, PPP= Passion Preceeds Payment in blogging. My passion for writing is the fuel that drives the engine of my blogging activities.

@Chritiana,

thanks for posting my snippets for all our darling telenovela fans at Nairaland. I sure appreciate it. On your next post make sure you add the link to my blog. http://gardenersdaughter..com That's a tokenism of acknowledgment of the source of your post. it's my intellectual property.

I checked through your profile and what a cool pix yu av there. Can yu permit me to use it on a little story on you in my blog? that is the only way I can return my gratitude to you for posting my snippets for our people here.

I said this because I saw that 60% of your posting on Nairaland (192 posts so far), are based on Romance, Dating and sexuality. That shows you sure av a flair for these. I am proud of you sis. I love active women writers!

I am attaching what I called a "wild" pix of Mariana Ochoa here. Of course she doesn't look like a gardener's daughter here. She was a sophisticated model here.

Was it just for crap quantity and not necessarily quality and creative films? Poor entertainment merchants!!! let's pray that they would soon get out of the sickness.

@Intrigue,

Maybe she decieved me. But it is a common knowledge that even a dying local airline like Sosoliso pays her Cabin crew above 80K monthly. That is why I did not think much of the 400K figure for an international airline like Virgin.

Its up to the 'insiders' in Virgin to correct our over-estimated or bloated figure. LOL

@Christiana,

L.A is consumed by greed and hatred for L.F, he could not think deeply and straight to the point of recognising L.F as his daughter. Hold your hands, reserve your slap for Consuela. L.A. is already in trouble with Marissa, he can't escape humiliation soon.
