Thank you!
Yes, it has been done before. IRCC accepts gift deed as long as the money is genuinely transferred and the donor confirms it is a gift with no expectation of repayment. |
Hi everyone, has anyone used a gift deed from a family member in Canada as POF for PR application? How did the family member transfer the funds (from Canadian bank) to the Naira account? Was it Western Union or bank-to-bank? Thank you. |
Has anyone submitted their passport in person at VFS Abuja recently? What is the process and how long does it take to complete the submission if you just walk in without an appointment? Thanks |
Temas:Thank you! |
Please, I would appreciate some advise especially from those who have applied for visitor visas for immediate family members. A PR submitted an online TRV application for her dad from within Canada (Dad is not in Canada). The IRCC account is for the dad but the payment and submission were done from within Canada. Would there be a problem since the submission was from within Canada? Thank you. |
Hi everyone, Please could someone help me with the contact for a reliable Cargo agent in Abuja? Thank you. |
Congratulations GS......this is great news.
Hello Everyone, My mum received her passport today. Visa valid till 2022 (her international passport's expiry date). Kindly find below her timeline. |
Hi everyone, M family friends (a couple) applied online for visitors visa since May 25. Tracking their application status has not yielded much beyond the "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility". This was the status as at last night. Please, what do you advise they do? Thank you. My intended travel date was July 1st. How about you?
|
Hang in there Fizzle. fizzile: |

Still on the WES issue, please, does anyone have a contact in UNIZIK for transcripts? I could really use one now. Is WES verification with them via mail or email? Kindly email me the details at emp.beryl@gmail.com God bless you. Elfmannisback: |
I am also keen on any tips or comments regarding Vancouver. I would be arriving sometime in August. bankylan: |

Well, N13,890 is Passport Transmission Fee N460 is for SMS while N8060 is for courier You really do not have to pay for courier if you are willing and available to go pick up your passport. I paid for the first two only (N14,350). So once you get the SMS, you go pick up. By the way, try to go with the exact amount. If you meet an irate staff at the 'Bank', hmmmm, you will need the grace of God to stay calm, especially if you have waited for long. DboyizGood: |

This is awesome, congratulations. Silent reader PPR alert. Thank God. AOR: 14/3/18 PPR: 16/5/18 Total no.of days to PPR: 63 Principal applicant + dependents: 5
|
And the long awaited PPR arrives! CRS: 481 ITA: Dec 6, 2017 AOR: Jan 16, 2018 Meds passed: Feb 2, 2018 IP1: Not sure IP2: Feb 27 Ordered GCMS: May 14 (From GCMSBuddy...yet to arrive) PPR (abi CPCO): May 16 Visa office: Ottawa No ADRs Profile: Single, with travel history I want to specially thank Glittering Star & Slik...just two days ago, they advised me to hold off on submitting my application for study permit. They encouraged me to hang in there, atleast give my PPR application some more time, rather than inadvertently jeopardize everything by presenting dual intent, even though it was not against the law. To the new guys here....please just read. You stand to gain a wealth of information about the various processes. Ofcourse, always reach out when in a fix. Thanks to everyone on this thread...Guitarlife (for gcmsbuddy link), Tojued (told me not to wait for 6 months to apply for gcms notes), Unyted (told me my VO), Frankrobbn1 (told me who to address my study permit LOE to) your comments are helpful. Patiently help the new guys. THANK YOU everyone |
Aha!....sounds like something I should be identifying with, abi GlitteringStar? Lol. I think she wanted to write CPCO and not CPOC. My PPR mail was from CPCO-FinalRequest/CTDO-DemandeFinale too. CPCO means Case Processing Centre Ottawa.
|
MightyGIE, thanks for the concern. I asked that same question but have not received any thoughts from gurus.lol. My AOR is 16 Jan 2018....My application has been at "Bacground check in progress' since Feb 27....I guess thats what they call IP2? Spoke with a CIC agent 2 weeks ago and she said my file was in Ottawa....thats all she said. Considering school starts September 1, I have decided to apply for my Study permit. I mean what are my options? Sit and wait and hope I get my PR before September 1? In want of what to do, I would order for gcms notes tomorrow. What next should i do? Call CIC again, maybe this time they have some update for me? I really do not know what else to do, except wait and pray. MightyGIE: |
Thanks for this Frankrobbn1. I read on this thread that the Lagos office only processes paper applications? I am applying online, hence my uncertainty. Thanks again for your thoughts. Frankrobbn1: |
Oh yes...one UBC over here. Resuming September 1. Will be submitting my application on monday, online. Worried though as I would submitting the proof of Med Exam I did in January for my PR application. I included in my LOE that the uploaded proof of med exam was done in January, is yet to expire but I can go for another if I am required to. By the way, I am not sure of how to address my LOE....I addressed it to the Accra VAC, since i am submitting online. Any thoughts on all these? Please share. Thanks Vizzle4sure: |
Great, thanks. Tojued: |
Thanks Guitarlife. A quick one, is it someting i can do all by myself or do i have to go through someone in Canada? Thanks again. Guitarlife: |
Should I perhaps order for gcsm notes? Or do I wait till my application crosses the 6 months processing time.... @Tojued and Unyted? Please what do you think? Thanks. |
Oh really? Thanks unyted: |

I put a call across to CIC last week Friday and i was told my file was in Ottawa. I dont not know what that means. Thats my LVO or maybe I am still in IP1 even though my background check has been in progress since Feb 27 when it changed from NA. luffyhaki: |
Hi everyone, I am new here. I am glad to have stumbled unto this thread, even though I did so after submitting my application. See my profile below: AOR: 16 Jan 2018 Medicals passed: 2 Feb 2018 IP2: 27 Feb 2018 Over a hundred days and counting..... |
