The stars aligned for this year's Super Bowl halftime show.

In a celebrity-filled performance worthy of this year's Los Angeles host, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar and Snoop Dogg took the stage as the Los Angeles Rams faced off against the Cincinnati Bengals at SoFi Stadium.


As the show started, the SoFi field was covered with what appeared to be the Los Angeles city grid and a row of white buildings. Snoop Dogg and Dre kicked things off together with their song "The Next Episode" before segueing into Dre and Tupac Shakur's "California Love."

50 Cent was next to join the party in a surprise appearance, starting off literally upside down to perform "In Da Club" with a bevy of female dancers in a faux party scene.

It became a "Family Affair" when Blige entered, back on the top of the building structures, and wearing all white and sequins. She was accompanied by sparkling backup dancers, who later disappeared while she sang "No More Drama" solo.
Lamar, surrounded by men in black suits with bleached hair and wearing sashes reading "Dre Day," performed his hit "Alright" in front of the stage set-up.

Eminem then took things back up top again, performing his Grammy and Oscar-winning song "Lose Yourself."

Dre eventually sat down at the piano, playing the iconic first notes of his hit "Still Dre." All the performers then gathered together on the top of the center building structure to close out the epic show.

Deaf rappers Sean Forbes and Warren "WaWa" Snipe were also on hand to perform American Sign Language renditions of each of the songs, marking the first time that the NFL has incorporated sign language performances as part of the halftime show, according to the

Dre, 56, served as the headliner, and said ahead of the performance that it would be "one of the biggest thrills of my career."

"I'm extremely excited to share the stage with my friends for the #PepsiHalftime Show," Dre captioned a photo of the group in September. "This will introduce the next saga of my career… Bigger and Better than Ever!!!"

For Dre and Snoop Dogg, 50, the halftime show was personal, as they're both local and "were at the forefront of the West Cost hip-hop revolution," Todd Kaplan, VP of Marketing at Pepsi, said in a statement.

A blind psychic who predicted the catastrophic 9/11 terror attacks is said to have foretold that Russian President Vladimir Putin would become "lord of the world".

Bulgarian Baba Vanga, who passed away in 1996 aged 85, was often referred to as the 'Nostradamus of the Balkans'.

Now it is feared that one of her 'visions' is coming to fruition as in 1979, Vanga said Russia would become "lord of the world" after Europe became a "wasteland."

"Too much it is brought in a victim. Nobody can stop Russia."
She added: "All will be removed by her from the way and not only will be kept, but also becomes lord of the world."

Putin is set to remain as president of Russia for another six years after Sunday's presidential election. He first became president just over 18 years ago.
He has dominated Russian politics since he assumed the role in December 1999.

Vanga, who was born Vangelia Pandeva Dimitrova in a village in Strumica, also predicted the unfoldings of Brexit decades ago.
She also claimed Europe as we know it would 'cease to exist' by the end of 2016, saying it would turn into a 'wasteland almost entirely devoid of human life.'

Although this has not come to pass, some liken the prediction to Britain voting to leave the European Union on June 23 of that year.

Vanga mysteriously lost her eyesight at the age of 12 during a storm.

Several days later, her family allegedly found her with her eyes sealed shut and covered with dirt.

She later claimed she experienced her first vision while missing and believed she had been given the power to predict the future and heal others.

ONE OF the world's deadliest snipers has arrived in Ukraine, vowing to fight the Russians as a volunteer fighter.

The trained killer, nicknamed Wali, previously travelled to Iraq on his own to fight against ISIS in 2015.

He crossed the border into Ukraine today, leaving his wife and infant son behind in Canada.

The 40-year-old was deployed twice to Afghanistan as a sniper with the Canadian Armed Forces between 2009 and 2011.

Wali fought in the same Canadian unit as the sniper with the world's longest confirmed-kill, of 3.5km.

He answered a call on Saturday from Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who announced: "All foreigners wishing to join the resistance against the Russian occupiers and protect international security are invited by the Ukrainian government to come to our territory to join the ranks of our territorial forces."

The sniper, who goes by the nickname given to him in Afghanistan of 'Wali', said he was contacted by a friend on Friday who had been organising "neutral convoys" of humanitarian aid for several months to bring food to the occupied Donbas region.

Wali told French-Canadian publication La Presse: "He told me they needed a sniper. It's like a firefighter who hears the alarm ringing. I had to go."

He leaves behind his wife and baby son, who will celebrate his first birthday without him next week.

"I know, it's just awful," he said. "But me, in my head, when I see the images of destruction in Ukraine, it is my son that I see, in danger and who is suffering.

"When I see a destroyed building, it is the person who owns it, who sees his pension fund go up in smoke, that I see.

"I go there for humanitarian reasons," he added.

His wife, who asked to have her identity kept secret for security reasons, said she reluctantly allowed him to go.

"I knew that if I didn't let him go, I would have broken him," she said.
"It would have been like putting him in jail."

Wali told CBC that he and three other former Canadian soldiers who made the journey with him were greeted with hugs, handshakes, flags and photos by Ukrainians after they crossed the border.

"They were so happy to have us," he said. "It's like we were friends right away."

He said he crossed over from Poland, travelling against the tide of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian refugees fleeing in the opposite direction.

Wali, who fought alongside the Kurds against ISIS in Syria several years ago, said he had travelled to Ukraine because "I want to help them. It's as simple as that."

He went on: "I have to help because there are people here being bombarded just because they want to be European and not Russian."

Since crossing into Ukraine, he and other veterans have taken shelter in an abandoned home, ahead of linking up with Ukrainian authorities.

Ukraine eventually hopes to build up a reserve unit of up to 10,000 officers and 120,000 volunteers.
Wali fought in the Royal Canadian 22nd Regiment, making tours of Afghanistan, Syria, and Iraq.

In June 2017, one of his comrades reportedly shot dead an Islamic State terrorist from an incredible distance of 3,450m - more than two miles away.

A military source told the Toronto Globe and Mail at the time there was "hard data on this. It isn't an opinion. It isn't an approximation.

"There is a second location with eyes on with all the right equipment to capture exactly what the shot was."

The unnamed sharpshooter used a McMillan Tac-50 firing a .50" Browning Machine Gun round.

Later, Wali became a computer scientist in Canada.

Even for an experienced combat veteran like Wali, the speed at which his life has changed in recent days is still shocking.

"A week ago I was still programming stuff," he said. "Now I'm grabbing anti-tank missiles in a warehouse to kill real people... That's my reality now."

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), on Thursday, filed an eight-count criminal charge against suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, and six others it alleged were involved in drug trafficking.

The move comes hours after the federal government approved a request by the United States to extradite Kyari who is wanted in the country over alleged links with international fraudster, Ramon Abbas, alias Hushpuppi, and could stall the extradition.

NDLEA, in the charge it filed through a team of lawyers led by its Director, Prosecution & Legal Services, Mr. Joseph Sunday, specifically accused DCP Kyari and the four other police officers of conspiracy, obstruction, and dealing in Cocaine worth 17.55 kilograms.

It also alleged that Kyari and his men, who are currently in its custody, also unlawfully tampered with 21.25kg worth of Cocaine.

The duo of Umeibe and Ezenwanne were accused of conspiring with others at large, to import 21.35kg of Cocaine into the country.

Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami had in the extradition application he also brought before the court, claimed that no charge was pending against DCP Kyari in Nigeria.

But the charge by NDLEA means that Kyari is facing trial in Nigeria and cannot be extradited to the United States.

Earlier, Inibehe Effiong, a human rights lawyer, had said that charging Kyari in Nigeria would stop his extradition.

Effiong had in a statement on Thursday, appealed not to the NDLEA not to file a case against Kyari in court as doing so would prevent him from being extradited.

He had noted that the extradition act makes it imperative for Kyari’s prosecution on drug charges to be put on hold.

The lawyer explained that proceeding to prosecute Kyari in Nigeria for drug related offences would prevent his extradition because an individual facing trial in Nigeria cannot be extradited to another country.

“The extradition application filed by the Attorney General of the Federation for Abba Kyari to be extradited to the US is a welcome development. Now that the FG has taken this step, NDLEA has to stay action on the drug related charges against Kyari. That’s the implication,” Effiong had said.

“Investigation by the NDLEA can continue while the extradition application is litigated. But it will be counterproductive for the NDLEA to proceed to file charges against Kyari during the pendency of the extradition application. That will make nonsense of the entire process.

“Section 3 of the Extradition Act makes it imperative for the prosecution of Kyari on the drug charges to be put on hold. This is because by the said provision, extradition applications will be refused by the court if the wanted fugitive is undergoing prosecution for another crime.
