“Last week I took it upon myself to visit my wife’s grandmother in a village in Edo State. It has been over 10 years since I saw her and I had a feeling she might not be around for as long as we think.

At 92, you could literally say she’s seen her share of what life has to offer especially when she has witnessed 4 generations of life. It was a 25-hours roundtrip roadtrip that was worth every minute of it. I wanted to document the lineage of the one I considered to have been priviledged to call wife for over 10 years.

I would eventually take the following conceptual picture of my grandma-inlaw, my mother-inlaw, my wife, and my daughter. I wanted to document the family in a way that was different from the family portraits I had taken in the past. Looking at the picture, I eventually got more insights to life than I had envisaged.

Life is indeed beautiful regardless of the trials one has been through. When I look at the picture I see a woman in her 90s who had experienced 4 miscarriages before giving birth to my mother inlaw. I see a woman in her 60s who has lost her husband and is the definition of a strong and virtuous woman. I see a woman in her 30s whose relationship with me can be likened to the undeserved grace God extended towards the Gentiles: I didn’t deserve her but God favored me. I see a woman in her 3s (if there’s something like that, or what will I call a 3.5 years old girl) whose confidence, beauty and intelligence still manages to amuse me every day. What do you see when you look at this portrait of 4 generations?”

Rapper Sina Rambo , has allayed fears that he is still a music artiste.
When asked if he was no longer doing music by a Planet TV correspondent, the rapper, replied saying he’d never quit music.

In his words:
I will never quit music, but, i have never been a one business man, I mean this is Nigeria, you have double your hustle, triple your interest.

Sina, also revealed that he is in-fact writing music for so many artistes in America and Nigeria, and has also done some directing jobs here.

Vector tha Viper needs no formal introduction; he has become one of the top names in the Nigerian Hip Hop scene since his debut in 2008. The award-winning rapper who has recently been making air waves with the hit single, ‘What’s that,’ has announced the release of an album that serves to change the face of music with the fusion of diverse genres.

With a release date set for December 20th 2016, and a concert slated for December 27th 2016 in Freedom Park, describing this album journey is an emotional one for Vector.

The cornerstones of his experiences – carnivals, riots, beef, love, worship, friendship, and most importantly, family – in Lafiaji (Lagos Island), where he grew up in, are translated into the album.

His preceding album, ‘Second Coming’was released a full 4 years ago in December of 2012, the latest album titled ‘Lafiaji’ which means Birth is apt.

“To understand the future, we must understand the past,” Vector said.

Vector who lived in the barracks on King George the 5th road in Lafiaji knows all about the grind and sweat that it entails to becoming a force to reckon with. He also involved someone who understood all too well what it meant to live like he did in Lafiaji; his sister.

“It was very personal. I remember feeling really bad on the song with Johnny Drille as it made me remember the most heart breaking experiences of the past; While recording with my sister who showed me how to sing when I was a kid felt super refreshing: she needed no audio effect enhancement. She was pitch clean perfect,” Vector said.

Falzthebahdguy, D’banj and Tanzania’sVanessa Mdee are some of the other features on the track. There are more surprises but we can’t give too much away.

Apparently Maje Ayida had two children with two different women in the 12+ years Toke Makinwa was with him. In her book, Toke writes about finding out her man of 9 years had a child with a lady named Crystal. She wrote;

“As I picked myself off the floor, I opened my laptop and typed Maje’s email address in. Fingers trembling, heart pounding, I realized what I had just done, but I couldn’t stop.

I went through email after email until I found pictures of a boy that looked exactly like Maje. The boy must have been about two years old and the email was from someone called Crsytal. The caption read, He loves noodles just like you. I peered at the little boy, my nose almost touching the screen of my laptop. The resemblance was uncanny. My laptop fell to the floor. When I asked Maje, he didn’t deny the boy”

Justice Ibrahim Saulawa of the Appeal court in Abuja has ordered the reinstatement of Eyitayo Jegede as the rightful candidate of PDP in this Saturday, November 26th, Ondo state governorship election.

This judgment nullifies the candidature of billionaire businesman, Jimoh Ibrahim, who before now was recognized by INEC as the party’s candidate.

Delivering judgment in an appeal filed by Jegede, Justice Saulawa set aside the October 14th ruling by Justice Okon Abang which recognized Jimoh Ibrahim as the PDP candidate for the election.

Jimoh belongs to the Ali Modu Sheriff-led faction of the party while Eyitayo Jegede belongs to the Ahmed Makarfi-led faction of the party.

Comedian Seyilaw took to his Instagram page to share the ordeal of a friend of his, who was stabbed by hoodlums right after his car broke down.

The Comedian shared photos of his friend’s stab wound and used the caption to narrate what happened. He wrote:

God is indeed God of all.
Let me just thank God for seeing me through all the challenges of the past month. Friends have not been able to get through to me due to the tedious schedules and happenings.

Finally, today I thought I was going home and having tomorrow all to myself to rest and catch up with friends only to have my car breakdown at Apongbon and some hoodlums attacked stabbing my friend in multiple places just because they wanted phones and money.

What would have become of me today? I am so grateful to God Almighty. They escaped before Police arrived, but I asked myself if people had come to our rescue and descended on the hoodlums wouldn’t people say SEYILAW was involved in jungle justice? Hmmmmm.
