Education / Re: How Do I Get The Original Waec Certificate by Lagschools: 7:46am On Oct 20, 2023
The process depends on the type of WAEC certificate.

For WAEC SSCE, you have to visit your Secondary school while for GCE, you need to visit a WAEC office.

If you have left the state where you wrote your exam, you can request to transfer your WAEC GCE Certificate to another state.

It is also worth noting that the JAMB profile code does not expire. You can use the same profile code this year if you wrote JAMB last year.

I live in Umuahia now.
I'm a B.Sc holder in Accounting
I'm 27 years
I am an expert freelancer as I can do most works on the internet like website development, blog design and monetization, blog SEO full Optimization, Book Editing and publishing (both offline and online).

That's what I have been surviving with.

You do not need to leave Umuahia.

Since you are good at website development, blog design etc, you can work online. Register on platforms like Upwork and Fiverr, and start hustling for international jobs there.

From what you said, you already have website design jobs you have done before, reach out to businesses in big cities like Abuja, Port Harcourt and Lagos and offer your service to them. You can find these businesses on Instagram and Twitter or even on Nairaland here.

I guess you also need to work on your pricing. Probably you charge too low.

You said there are jobs in your city that pay 25k and above, start with that while you are doing outreach for your web design jobs so that you can settle some bills.

Also, you need to follow some successful persons in your niche to learn what they are doing:

A few people I'll recommend are;

Chioma Ifeanyi Eze (Accountant): https://web.facebook.com/chioma.ifeanyieze

Yuyu Odukoya (Web design): https://web.facebook.com/thaikuun

Emma Uchendu (Accountant/Bookkeeper): https://web.facebook.com/emmanuel.uchendu.583

I wish you success bro.

Good morning, Nlder's. Pls, I need your advice. I created this account just now to hide my identity.

Without wasting time on this, I need your advice as I want to take a blind step because i don't know what else to do.

I graduated since 2018 and since then, I don't have a good job till now. Just surviving that's what I am doing.

Currently, I asked my mom to help me secure loan of 100k while I source for another 100k from friends and relatives and repay in 6 months time. I have planned with my wife to secure a room apartment with at least 60k for 1 year and use the balance to hold ourselves till we get something better doing. This is because I want to relocate to Uyo to hustle with my woman and our only daughter. I can't leave my woman aside and travel to Uyo alone. I want her to join me either in 2 weeks time or 3. She is a stylist and can work as Chef. She is also educated with O'level and I have been taken her through computer lesson's.

Now, I don't have any job assurance in Uyo but I have made some contacts. The 2 person's I contacted said once I relocate, I should let them know to help me get job. Also, I don't mind dropping my certificate just to do any job till I get my dream job. I am also working to get myself a driving license certificate and ID in case, I get a driving job in Uyo.

Pls, I want to know if it's wise to relocate to Uyo without any job at sight?

Also, my current state is one of the worst ever as firms here don't pay there staff good money. Like some pay Accountants here 25k/month to work from Monday to Saturday.

Your ideas will be great. My other areas of relocating is Enugu, Port Harcourt, or Anambra. Pls, help a brother.

Travel / Re: How To Get Your High School Transcript by Lagschools: 2:02am On Feb 01, 2023
Most secondary schools in Nigeria do not have transcripts by default. If your school does not have one, you can tell them to create one for you and stamp it with their official stamp/seal.

You can read this article on how to get a Secondary school transcript in Nigeria.
Education / Re: Could This Be The Reason Afticans Are Left Behind In Science And Technology? by Lagschools: 7:11am On Jan 23, 2023
To be able to invent, one must think of the impossible, things that have never been seen or heard of. To invent, you must be ready to test for a long time. Your inventions may not generate money for some years.

WhatsApp did not make profits in its startup years but it endured because the founders believed that the idea would change the world. You can watch the history of WhatsApp here.

Most African inventions that are not profitable in the first few years usually die off.

For Africans, it is survival first. Every other thing follows after survival. Most Africans do not escape this struggle till death.

Education / Re: Soludo To Shut Down Over 1,075 Unapproved Schools In Anambra by Lagschools: 5:27am On Jul 22, 2022
If the schools are not up to par, they should be shutdown.

The primary and secondary education is the most important level of education, it should never be sub-standard.

Education / Re: BREAKING: JAMB Announces 140 as Cut-off Point For 2022 University Admissions by Lagschools: 5:54pm On Jul 21, 2022
This is JAMB's benchmark.

Schools can set their own cut off marks. A school like UNILAG will never go below 200.

If the reason for the ban is because of terrorism, why not temporarily ban in areas affected with terrorism?

Doubt if this bill will be passed.
