But since the people surrendered their land as Femi Adesina suggested, there is NOW peace in all YorubaLand. Why don't other tribes imitate our peaceful Yoruba neighbors?

You see why others don't enjoy the relative peace? It's because of shallow minded people like you. In Yoruba, we don't have too many of your kind. We have mostly people of sound mind....

It started in the NE as Boko Haram, now it's in NW as bandits, now it's starting in SE as Unknown Gunmen. All these have cumulatively led to the death of thousands of soldiers. Now I've been wondering which country survives a war against itself. With three regions at war with Nigeria, commonsense should tell you that the country is in trouble unless something is done and fast.

Is it the SS and NC that won't agitate? As far as I know, even Niger is now mostly under BH cum Bandits so what's left of NC? With the killings in Benue and Plateau, who knows how long before the people there would say enough is enough?

That brings us to the subject of the SW or YorubaLand which is suddenly calm after Sunday Igboho question was settled. I have no doubt that the SW will become the most peaceful region since as far as we know, it is the only region that is ready to succumb and hand over their ancestral land to Fulani without a fight. So, it is actually going to become the most peaceful region. Why don't other regions embrace peace like our SW brethren. After all, Fulani are only interested in land - forest land they've already occupied in YorubaLand. If this peaceful tribe can condone the capture of their territory, why can't all other tribes?

keep your violence to your land. You people are war mongers and you just want o incite peole into war. We are a progressive people, the reason you people are here "developing" our land not yours is because our zone is relatively peaceful is we accommodate and provide an avenue for those who have destroyed their land with violence to thrive. As a king once said to me, we will give you all the land you want, we want development, you cant take the land away with you!!! We dont cut our noses to spite our faces!!!!

You have been engaging in violence as a means to resolve problems killing your people since 1966, what has it donr for you? You dont welcome outsiders, we do! We havent fought wars and our region has prospered the most, you might want to learn a thing or 2 from us. The most developed areas anywhere in the world are places that welcome others (cosmopolitan) and are peaceful.

Yes o and credit should also be given to Benin Republic who helped us to cage that notorious PDP tout. The herdsmen wahala died naturally immediately the Yoruba Nesan President was arrested in Cotonou. The only crisis you see in southwest especially in Oyo is between PDP versus PDP with Auxiliary, Seyi Makinde deputy governor and Chief Security Officer as the key actor grin

But their skull-mining industry doesn't disturb their peace. The industry is just peripheral while people go about their businesses. Armed robbery is also a momentary activity so the general peace is preserved after the banks are robbed. What we are looking at is peace in terms of not rising against Fulani conquest agenda.

Are you saying Yoruba land has been grabbed by the Fulani?

I know a fulani man that is currently occupying two plots of land he grabbed during the iskilu wakill saga in ibarapa

At least, the Fulani progressively grabbing their land PEACEFULLY has given them peace instead of all the killings in Benue, Plateau, Kaduna and other places. Isn't peace better? Other Nigerian tribes ought to emulate this peaceful disposition of Yoruba.

You are such a useless irritant who see, think and dream about SW all your life.

Your attempt to disparage SW is well noted and would be treated hot as you present it. If you lack decorum, why not limit it to your cursed village and stop all these shamefull display.

The fact that SW has not been as volatile as other region shows that the Nationality is different from other region forced together by Lugard. All other irrelevant jab about SW succumbing to Fulani invasion is just an attempt to ridicle a region that is ahead of your generation in every aspect.

It would be better to focus your energy on people that designated you as terrorist, people that daily tag you as dot in a circle and El rufai that mock the entire 5 States of the East as inconsequential.
mr so advance man or woman....so which south western state is more ahead ooo...if you dont mention lagos....and have you been to other state in the East before?why not kindly ask any of your people who have been to the Eastern region to tell you have ahead we are and how nice it is and how clean our villages and town and cities are compared to your region which only cosmopolitan status of lagos was due to it been a formal capital....so dear advance man...be Enlighted ..and travel more

U dey mind those idiots, chest beating turning their region to war zone.. their slogan is Yoruba people too dey fear, yet Yoruba region are the most peaceful region in Nigeria despite the mixture of Muslim and Christians, they forgot that God give Yoruba people wisdom and sense to avoid trouble and remain peaceful, people that claims they are James bond never achieve anything, yet their Afghanistan is loading.. they will get sense by force when time comes

Familiarise yourself with the law. All land puchasesd after 1978 is leased land, What you have is a certificate of occupancy or right of occupancy which can be revoked at any time by the governor. Good reasons for revocation include security reasons, of for instance secession and national interests. So all those Ibos thinking they are buying land in SW are only leasing the land. Develop your business/property and we will collect the taxes.

The only people who own land in Sw or Niugeria are those who bought their land before land use decree of 1978. Any land any king or family "sells" to you now is leased land it is still owned by the family of king and can be revoked by the governor. Even if you are of good behaviour, after 99 years (maximum term of a lease) the land and anything on it automatically reverts to the family or King that "sold" you the land many leases are not even that long, some are 50 years, some 75 depending.

Right or certificate of occupancy is not ownership of land, the key word is "occupancy". IOccupancy is not ownership it is right/permission to occupy land for a set period without encumbrances subject to certain conditions.

All those land properties you see in lekki, ajah etc are all STILL OWNED by the families or Kings of the areas, all they have done is lease the land to developers to develop.

All these ibos talking of "secession" but buying properties in Sw dont realise if secession happens they will lose their properties.

More importantly, you turn your land into a waste-land but brag about developing other people's land that you cannot pass to your generations (maximum 1 generation) Our lekki kings are living large on your "development", the land still belongs to them and out government is collecting taxes. So keep abusing the "Afonjas", we dont mind, just dont bring your violence here.

Finally, if ibos think they can bring trouble to the SW, all they are doing is putting their investments in the SW at risk because a governor can use security as a valid reason to revoke a CofO.

@ Psalmistproject, as per the bolded part,
The irony that you are lecturing me on outsiders evicting me from my land when it is your people who refuse to sell land to outsiders, refuse to accommodate or welcome others, create trouble in your own land that are self evicting your own people from their own land to develop other people's land seems to be lost on you!

i have said it many times, ...you people dont think right, you are too driven by ego, emotion, a need for chest-beating, grandstanding and lack strategic thinking. You always in the end set yourselves and your cause backwards!!!! You people are too short sighted, Learn to play the long game!!!!!

I keep saying it, you had control over Oil, you had regional autonomy, you had the right to referendum but you staged a coup, removed referendum and went to war and look at where you are today, you now only have control over a region smaller than Oyo state, you have lost control over oil, go cap in hand to Abuja for allocation from the Oil you once controlled, have never produced a president, your region is a mess, your people are a ridicule, you are making noise fighting for what you already had in1966, you have no political control over your destiny. Your actions have set you backwardsbut you are still embarking on the same tactics...what kind of people are you?

A smart man only starts a war when he knows he will win or at the very leasy has the upper hand, Ibos are always embarking on "wars" they have no chance of winning.
