Your assertion is wrong! Dental students don't only do dental or oral pathology, they do general medicine, general surgery, general pathology and pharmacology together with medical students which carry the same mark and grade. They don't do community medicine, O & G and Paediatrics. That's for 1st degree.

Then in residency, residents in oral & maxillofacial surgery will still rotate through internal medicine, ENT, plastic surgery, at times ophthalmology, and general surgery plus some dental subspecialties..

Oral pathology residents will rotate through internal medicine, general pathology plus some dental subspecialties.

Oral medicine residents will still rotate through general pathology and internal medicine plus some dental subspecialties..

Oral radiology residents will still rotate through internal medicine, general radiology plus some dental subspecialties.

I don't know about periodontics, endodontics, orthodontics and prosthodontics.

Besides, Dentistry is a SIX- YEAR course in Nigeria.

I'm not bragging o! U're d boss, not me. I just wanted to clarify something that people tend to look down on dentistry, but yet it's not easy. This is cos of what i enumerated above. People think dentistry is about uprooting teeth only, until i ventured into it and realised it's not true. I regretted d years i wasted looking for medicine (although i got it but lost it due to finance). That's how i started browsing about dentistry and realised it's much more than teeth. Today, an oral & maxillofacial surgeon can operate on tongue cancer while an oral pathologist will diagnose it and so many other pathologies of d head & neck region. Prof S.M. Balaji & Dr Abdullah Masud (of India & Bangladesh respectively) do this regularly which may be followed by radiotherapy and/or chemo. I believe guidance counsellors should do their work well to educate students about dentistry.

Medicine is tough but not d toughest. In my college of medicine, dentistry passes through all those things u mentioned with medical students. They write 2nd MBBS, 3rd MBBS, and anoda MBBS in their 5th yr with final yr medical students, and still do dental courses added to it. Their 5th yr is med & surg with 6th yr med student. They'll undergo the same ward round, be in d same class and write d same exam with d same marking. They separate fully in 6th yr.

Are are free not to accept any hadith that speak ill of your prophet, but you guys should stop telling us they are weak or fabricated hadith. If you don't have 100% confidence in the hadith why are Muslims still using it as a religious book? After all the compiler of the most trusted hadith, Imam bukhari, is not even an Arab but from Uzbekistan (a Persian).
