SmartyPants: If they came only to shoot without robbing, and did not come for a particular person, then certainly yes, that is a terror attack. It seems the media and security agencies want to economize the truth but you can deduce that this must be either a Muslim-majority area or a mixed area so they probably targeted that supermarket because it is owned by a Christian or southerner. You are truly a smartypants Anyway, i watched the video and it was a robbery... I suspect cultists. You dont need to bring tribe or religion into this, Nasarawa state has a mix of christians and muslims. I say this because i stay close to the place |
Career › Re: What Are The Disadavantages Of Studying Medicine At Age 29 by Lagusta(m): 2:11pm On Dec 30, 2023 |
Jackanda1: After trying medicine 3 times. I had to settle for a science course. I'm currently done with my first degree, NYSC and doing a little job by the side.
The thing is, i want to go back to medical school. I have a burning desire to study medicine, i dream about it everyday and would be rather unfulfilled if i don't study medicine.
The questions i have are:
1. I intend to start my study in my late 20s. Hopefully 28,29,or at 30years old.
2. What are the disadvantages of studying medicine and graduating in my late 30s.?
3. How is employment at that age?
What are the difficulties i should expect?
Be brutally honest. Thanks
cc: Lagusta bcomputer101 Thanks for the mention. After 10yrs of being a doctor, I have just a few words for you... 1) follow what drives your passion 2) medical school is NO JOKE!!! 3) get ready for a rollercoaster of regrets, heartaches, and tears, mixed with a life full of contentment, fulfillment and the passion to save more lives 4) I hope you're not going in for the money 🤣🤣 walllahi there is no money in medicine, especially in this nonsense country 5) you have to read, and not just to read and pass but to read and understand. 6) medicine is not just a science, but an art, and an apprenticeship... You learn new things even when you graduate 7) pray pray again 9) never ever read in a silo... Join discussion groups once you get in, don't make that mistake of being a lone ranger 10) Las Las è go be 👍🏿👍🏿 Wishing you good luck 🤞🏿 |

EmmyMaestro: This xray belongs to Funsho, whose doctors here in Nigeria told he has a living cockroach inside him, after complaining of severe chest pains and he can only be operated abroad.
Funsho sold his house, took loans and borrowed more money to enable him travel and pay for the treatment.
Upon reaching India, another Xray was done, he was told the cockroach was inside the Xray machine at the Nigerian hospital and not his chest. He was given prescriptions for the chest pains and discharged. 🤣🤣🤣 I hope we all know this is a very bad Photoshop job 🙂 |

Most of the people we call doctors nowadays are young children who weren't smart enough to pass jamb, and their parents used alternative admission routes to help them study Medicine. Moral of my epistle: The doctors don't always know better. The fact that you were even boastful of your crass ineptitude is not only bewildering but utterly alarming! You need help my bro |

seborrhic: That police officer smashing that goods table with glee,I just wonder what goes into the minds of people like that. Even if whatever the person is doing is illegal, must you show joy in inflicting pain on another human being? How many people can rent shops. Even in the US,there are street traders,so it's not like with all the laws and good life over there, people still don't do street trading to survive Yes there are street markets in the USA, but remember they have strict local and state laws. In the USA, they don't destroy wares, they arrest and prosecute, and once one has a criminal record over there, many sanctions follow... Destroying wares here is barbaric but it's better than facing litigation |

TONYE001: Hi Medics,
It's been a very long walk for me. I recall when I first found this thread, it was when I was looking for admission into medschool. I once wrote then that I'd be back here one day to share my testimony. Today is that day. As of yesterday, I qualified as a medical doctor.
The past seven years have really been interesting. I was supposed to finish medschool in 5 years as I was a DE student. But Nigeria happened to me, I got two more years even though I did not repeat any class. But here I am today celebrating success.
I thank you all for all you do here. I thank the creator of this thread (Chief Lagusta). I thank the posters. I thank those that ensured this page didn't die. This thread helped me, it helped many before me, and it will help many after me. I've just concluded my medschool diary, if interested, you may want to read through it.
For all those still in the training, and for those still trying to get in, I wish you all success. It's possible, just continue trying.
Best wishes, friends. Have a great evening.
Dr. Tonye001. Congrats bro, I'm so happy and proud of you. 🙂 |
