Babalakin34: Pls don't get bugged with my questions, I'm just seeking to know. Thanks. What is a Doctor's Working hours like? How many hours does a doctor work in a day? I read about Dr Lagusta, he said in one of his diaries, that he goes as much as 124hours without sleep, OMG. I'm solar-powered so I'm sure I can't survive staying up in the night for long, how will I cope? You just made me remember my days as a house officer |

I use both phones
My iPhone has all my bank apps and my main whatsapp because of security
My android is for play play as all my social media apps are there
Like you all said, iPhone is better when it comes to security and Android is better with customization (I mean, can you change the skin and user interface of an iPhone except maybe it's jailbroken?) |

Ifyjoshblaze: TESTIMONY TIME !!!!!!!!!!
I want to use this opportunity to say a big thank you to everyone here especially Dr lagusta and other pioneer Bosses who kick-started this thread.
I had given up on studying medicine after staying back home for almost 5 yrs due to financial issues.
I visited Nairaland once in a while but never discovered this thread until last year, accidentally even.
I had just finished 100l in a biological course after getting admission in 2017 when things turned a corner for us financially.
I was generally unhappy with my life and was bordering on acute depression back then, until I saw myself here unintentionally.
The posts I came across here and the diaries that I read( and still following) lit a fire under my belly and I started believing that i could really pull this off inspite of me being a shadow of my Secondary school self academically.
I decided to give it my last shot and by the grace of God and with the help of most people here(bulk of them unknowingly) I am now a fresh medical student in Enugu State University (Esut) by Merit.
I will forever remain grateful to God and my Messiahs here.
Special mention goes to: Lagusta lomaxx Starfx Elzak jargo89 Mandeyy
And many others( can't remember all their monikers), in fact everyone here played a pivotal role in my success, even those I kinda ruffled with, I learned from all of it and will make sure I put all I've learnt here to great use.
PS: I have a new account now (Medicblaze), this should my last post with this very one. Clean slate.
Though much is taken, much abides; and though We are not now that strength which in old days Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are; One equal temper of heroic hearts, Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
God bless you All. Congrats bro, more blessings |

It's been ages I visited this thread which nurtured my dream. I am happy the dream is still alive and pulsating with greater dreams birthed already.
Cephalocaudal greetings to everyone in the house.
It seems like yesterday when I jammed this thread as an aspirant eating the crumbs from the tables of Dr Lagusta, Lomaxx et all and now typing as a finalist . nice one baba, i am proud of you |

camobri: "She had all I needed in a lady, and she was too brilliant to be a nurse..."
can u really go far in life with this your cocky attitude? Nurses are meant to be dull? What was your background like before you entered uni, you mever met nurses or know of any? What sort of ignorance is this? I want to believe it was due to the euphoria of being a new med grad. but if you are still that saucy, heaven helps you. lol, you actually dug up 2015 post in 2019, really Anyway, for your info, i have MANY nurses as close friends and colleagues, and we work as a team to make the patient feel better. Meanwhile, lets chill for some cool drinks, state your location lets know whats up |

Nigerians..you can Continue to create threads to bash doctors. We are leaving the country for you. Who Grade 12 salary epp compared to what is paid abroad? Dont mind all of them. They are all crying over level 12 when we are all planning to jet out of this mess of a country. They can eat their level 12, e no concern anyone anymore. At least, our very own minister for health (ironically a doctor too) said we can all leave if we wish... I dey with you jare |
