Sometimes I think people feign ignorance. How can anyone in his right sense compare activists fighting for their resource benefits turned into a disaster area, with Boko Haram rogues extorting money and land from rightful owners? Some people madness for greed can be baffling. Racoon: |
During the Niger Delta military campaign: Our Oil Our Money. Amnesty and contracts were offered to quell the agitations for justice. Their communities were impoverished by oil spill causing environmental degradation damages. Some people are demanding the same treatment for Boko Haram terrorists as alternatives to kidnapping for ransom. Rehabilitation of members and absorption into the Army to fight in the terrain they know better than regular soldiers. The problem is regular soldiers could not trust them because those still loyal to Boko Haram became informants and disclosed sensitive military intelligence and locations of the Army. Many Nigerian soldiers including Army Generals have lost their lives in the process. There is no way we can have a unit of soldiers looking over their shoulders, unsure if their battalion has spies of Boko Haram operating within them. What might have worked under one administration with those who saw themselves as freedom fighters for their Oil resources that the country depended on for survival, may not work for Boko Haram fighters trying to actualize religious domination of an alien doctrine on an African country. There is no discernible similarity between those fighting religious wars to dominate and usurp land to feed their cattle, displacing communities of ethnic groups different from theirs. Ransom may be common to all terrorists, but it is not sustainable in a country known as the world capital of Poverty. The ransom paid by the government to terrorists could be used to alleviate the suffering of displaced victims and the poor. It is ironic that politicians that cornered every allocation from the top and loot foreign earnings are willing to find money for ransom demands of bandits but cannot find money to improve the impoverished situation of the masses. Forest rangers or community vigilantes under the supervision and support of local Police will go a long way in solving the terrorist problem in Nigeria. Once outside terrorists realize that the borders of Nigeria are no longer porous for nefarious activities, we may get some peace within Nigeria. Political importers of thugs and politicians who think their ethnic group have free access and citizenship in Nigeria must be put on notice. https://www.thenigerianvoice.com/news/360389/it-is-not-about-saving-christians-it-is-the-fear-of-economic.html |
Answer the question. This is how you failed in school. |
Mr. Vitaliy, did you see this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbLpYDuPLJ4?si=8qeYMD4u1Unlnlo6 |
Really mr.vitalis? You never fails with your hypocrisy. Can you or many Nigerians pass your single test of if you are not right in a single case, you cannot be right in every case. This is a champion of free market, liberal import, free currency the country do not print supporting authoritarian military over constituted civilian administration. Wonda wonda never end! mrvitalis: |
Whatever it is you think about Wike. This is not about him. In this case the man has the authority to do his job. Especially after his attention has been drawn to uncivil act by former or retired General. The space has been designated by specialised civil authority. Some Nigerians are myopic because of how they feel about Wike, by celebrating a military officer who should not even on the property in the first place. The solutions: Nigerians celebrated because it was wike, there perceived enemy, that was humiliated not minding the legality of the actions of the yerima boy. |
We must examine the two convictions for terrorism in Finland and Nigeria. There are so much publicity to Terrorists In Nigeria. Muslims are also killed in Southern Nigeria just as Hausa Muslims and Christians are killed in the North. Also, Christians are killing Christians in the East. What a mess! |
SarkinYarki:A fabricated lie or gross exaggeration at best. Just to get their wish of killing Nigeria if they cannot rule by force or tulasi. Who invites a world renowned economic raider to invade their home? Having said that, I hope the Civilian Government will now have reason, urgency and the audacity to go after terrorists in the North and South, Christians or Muslims. |
Gosh, look at this one wailing like a dog for Christians to come and save ime papa indigenous religion in Africa. Na Muslims ordered Monday Monday killings? Hausa and some Yoruba that are killed are not Muslims abi. Ndi Ara |
Despite our raw emotions about terrorists, we must be careful and restrained in our actions. Until the Hausa are free, Nigeria is not free. Our neighboring countries have successfully curbed the Fulani and put them in their place. Nigeria is their last stronghold and they are not going to let go without a fight. Nobody nowhere give up Privileges willingly. Hausa are Muslims, Fulani violate and kill them. They violate and kill Muslims in the South. Yet, some Nigerians myopically focus on Muslims killing Christians as if either na their papa religion. Lame personal and selfish excuse to Invade their motherland. Samesame247: |
Major7:Paid? Military exacerbate colonial mentality in Africa https://www.modernghana.com/news/1448970/military-rule-exacerbate-colonial-mentality-in.html |
The Lieutenant Yerima incident reminded us that Nigeria is still deeply gripped in the mentality of Military rule superiority over Civilian administration. The same mentality which the Army assumes to derogate the polity as “bloody civilians”. The Army thinks they are still in charge of the country and every civilian rule must be at their command, wish and caprices. We see the Military in places they have no business, used to intimidate and enforce their will. Indeed, retired Generals constitute themselves into a shadow government that exercises their culture of corruption by grabbing the most lucrative sector of the economy. As much as Civilian Administrations try to get hold of how much mineral resources are leaving the country, no one dares challenge them. It is part of the daily News that Generals are controlling the underground economy that should have been normal income of any sane country. Generals are at liberty to grab precious land, properties and share businesses they desire, no question asked. Lt. Yerima, a young man at the initial stage of his career, is not the problem. He is only following the established culture of corruption ordered by the retired general that was put in place right from the time Ibrahim Babangida overthrew Buhari. Nigeria must remember that it was this same Babangida celebrating the culture of corruption with his book launch about how Nigeria was saved by the Military. He accepted Structural Adjustment rejected by Buhari. It was the coffin that nailed the Middle Class in Nigeria. We have never recovered and the Depreciation of Naira continues since then. Nigerians are not blind and not all of us are gullible cheering and welcoming Military men indiscretions every time. The fact that we see Nigerians cheering Lt. Yerima, though not new, does not mean the majority of Nigerians are not watching in disgust. This is a country the whole world recognizes for their intellect but fails to use it to better themselves at home. How can they cheer the Military that uses guns to terrorize their people into submission? Source |
None of you wants to admit Nnamdi Kanu and Ekpa are terrorists despite Ekpa conviction in Finland. Dey play |
If not Nigeria, where else? The rest of the world are worse in character and culture but Nigerians never appreciate what beauty their noble ancestors bestowed on them. Too busy scavenging around the world. |

U.S. President Donald Trump, reacting to the shocking discovery, said in disbelief: “This is madness! No human being should have that kind of money lying around. This is not wealth — this is daylight robbery against a nation.” An insider from the investigation revealed: “Every corner we turned led to another secret vault. The amount of money involved here is enough to rebuild an entire African country.” Read more 👇 🔗 https://www.effectivegatecpm.com/icp5mfd6am?key=d62155bafc0b79a2d958dacd61e0b314 |
I just hope this cat fight end well but I doubt if Yoruba will ever open their hearts the way they did in the past. After all, they recently voted for Peter Obi in Lagos. Only for Peter Obi to go to Alaba and thank the Igbo! |
He cannot make you President my dear brother. OneCandleAway: |
If anyone wants to become President, cultivate popular votes by appeals, past accomplishments and not premises every politician makes. Nigerians, regardless of religious leaning, have enough problems with Boko Haram. Foreign Powers are capable of collateral damages alright but those without numbers of votes to rule has never had the popular votes inside or outside their ethnic group. If America does not like people like you that were there in America before Columbus, why do you think they would like you? They would use you as usual. |

Kaa4:It is not that we do not have enough to care for every Nigerian. Money is a promissory note. Within Intra-Africa trade we can buy and sell what we produce at reasonable price. But outside our African market influence, we must pay their dictated price at what IMF say our currency is worth so that they can buy us cheap. Actually, I think Nigerians are more productive today that when we traded our currency one to one. The difference: liberal market to buy whatever you want in the world market without selling whatever we want at our dictated or bargain price in the world market. Every administrator from politicians to the lowest clerk watch intensely for allocations to drop. Once it drops, the catcher take a lion share while others fight for crumbs. |
Can somebody please translate to whatever language this guy speaks. Let me try our National language: You go kill yourself with wahala if you do not stop trolling anything related to where Tinubu come from. By the way I am not even a fan of Tinubu. But no kill yourself with headache, abeg. Taking APC for another man headache. |
Your obsession with Tinubu will kill you before you get the chance to vote against him in the next Election. The same people who support heavily subsidized US dollars so that they can do roundtripping with Central Bank and turn around to sell at Bureau du Change. The same people who supported subsidized dollars at Central Bank so that they can use it for imports like used electronics, used clothes, Swiss cheese, vacations or school fees for spoiled children fees while their classmates work two or three jobs to pay their own fees. While local colleges suffer and professors neglected. The same people cry daily about devaluations or Structural Adjustment pushing down the value of Naira, rendering teachers into poverty. Are these not the same people that join the rich and powerful taking subsidy to import refined petrol while sabotaging local refineries? Una trouble just start you hia, you go cry taya. Confused human beings. Tinubu ko, Tamedu ni. What did Lagos and Osun states get for voting for Obi and Atiku? Abuses, Abuses, Abuses givedemwotowoto: |
Nigerians are making more money in Naira than ever but their counterparts in other African universities are making more when you convert their salaries into US dollars. Why? Structural Adjustment or Devaluation that floored Zimbabwe dollars. Devaluation is the punishment for any country that defy their colonial master and try to rise in Africa. Ask any teacher or professor if they can afford a car with their salary today like they did before Structural Adjustment. Thanks for equalization of dollar to naira exchange in the black market or Central Bank. But that is if you have surplus naira. So if you have to do it all over, would you stick to the days of one Nigeria to one British pound; one naira to one and a half US dollars? But are you willing to go to jail like Dr. Shodipo and Fela if you break the rules? |
Nigerian fighters must provide $1000 for visa, ticket -Ukrainian ambassador https://punchng.com/video-nigerian-fighters-must-provide-1000-for-visa-ticket-ukrainian-ambassador/ https://punchng.com/nigerian-fighters-must-provide-1000-for-ticket-visa-ukraine/ |
Boy, were we wrong! Good motives turned to parochial interest. Instead of people dying for the good of the country, soldiers destroyed long held patriotic feelings for Nigeria, other African countries; and turned it into ethnic chauvinism. The morning after, as the night broke into daylight, over several days, we came to realize these people were not ready to die for Nigeria or Africa but for personal ambition. Imagine wannabe soldiers of fortune lined up at the Ukrainian Embassy in Nigeria risking lives to get paid. Russia recruited Africans for the Ukraine war. https://allafrica.com/stories/202507080386 The United States also recruited some Africans with the promise of visas, but after their service. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYB3LjF65cA?si=OXMuMcQK0jVDepQ4 Right now the United States has a sign in bonus to recruit more Americans for ICE. They invited Africans for Re-Interview (Soyinka didn't honor) to “check” irregular visas while recruiting whites, even from South Africa. Before Kaduna Nzeogwu, Jerry Rawlings, Steve Biko, Sakura, and lately Ibrahim Taotra, now trending in Africa; we had both the military and civilians out of patriotism willing to die for Africa. Akufo, Acheampong & co. had to face the military tribunal for overthrowing Nkrumah, Africa’s formidable Activist colonialists feared most because he knew them inside out. Jerry Rawlings of Ghana overthrew Akufo and Acheampong & co. as a team that overthrew respected African hero, Kwame Nkruma. Now militricians are an upper class. Unfortunately, most of the African military proved to be worse than the civilians they overthrew. Little did we realize that those who were supposed to clean up corruption in high places would regale in a worse form of corruption themselves. Whatever became the consequences of Nzeogwu Military take-over, it was initially welcomed as a relief to indifferent civilian rule by cabals that retain Power in the hands of groups that unite to loot the country but divide and rule the masses. The celebrations, jeering and humiliation of the fallen after Nzeogwu coup in Nigeria, created a glowing anger that finally burst into mutiny and counter-coup. Until university graduates started joining the Army for the sole purpose of overthrowing civilian governments, the pride of being in military uniform was low. You could not find anyone from a good home going into the Armed Forces, except a few radical university graduates. Two cases exemplified the trust Nigerians placed on the military and how it fell apart. We believed Nzeogwu was betrayed. The Nzegwu coup was initially welcomed. Just as we trusted Buhari's "primordial" aversion for corruption. Buhari turned out to be far from being a saint after all. He turned out to be "fantastically" corrupt without Idiagbon behind him! Buhari went as far as absolving Abacha that invaded the Central Bank and looted foreign currencies. It was this same Buhari, in fairness to him that refused to Devalue naira. Since no country without finished goods to export has ever recovered from its currency Devaluation. Reliance on foreign investment without local training and specified time for handing over to locals, are misplaced. Its benefits are highly exaggerated. Turned into a lifetime exploitation. Unfortunately, African countries become dependent at the expense and detriment of reliable Inter-African Trade cooperation. |
WHICH COUNTRY WILL YOU DIE FOR: HOW AFRICAN ARMY JOINED UPPER CLASS The Idumota Lagos Commemoration and Remembrance of soldiers that sacrificed their lives for the world and Peace Keeping changed when soldiers tasted political power and realized they could be Head of States as well, not just head of the Army. It is one thing to risk lives in a coup to punish those who overthrew African Independent Activists like world revered and feared patriots Nkrumah or Lumumba but another to save Babangida and accept Structural Adjustment. We used to say we could die for our country during colonial rule to liberate ourselves. History still teaches Slave Trade and about the days most Africans were willing to die to free their countries. Slave trade became dangerous not only out of the goodness of Abolutionists’ hearts but also danger of African Revolts on the land and high sea. Many of us remember the patriotic fever and love of the country. Ready to die for Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Kenya and others. Many African soldiers died in the fight for Freedom during Slavery, World War I & II. When they came back from Europe after the World Wars fighting for Freedom, they were still colonized at home. African Americans and Europeans were still discriminated against. Nigerian soldiers later became known as one of the best International Peace keeping forces, and so recognized worldwide. But why stop at being the king maker of politicians when they could be in charge? As Africans we are our brothers’ keepers. Just as we say: it takes a village to raise a child. One American President, John F. Kennedy once challenged his people to ask what they can do for their country, not what their country can do for them. When and how did we lose our dedication to African Youths to the point of paying a fortune to risk death crossing the sea and the desert? When the Military started taking over from civilian rulers, we thought they were saviors coming to our rescue after the civilian Governments lost their heads. The Military coups were cheered in many African countries because the tolerance for abnormal or what we saw as strange behavior in high places, especially in Government was repulsive. Therefore, military discipline and quick clean up without resorting to the long process afforded by rule of law became attractive. Source |
Some Nigerians sha! Is there anything US does that they will not defend? |
Only God knows who creates gullible Nigerians that fight, support and use warp foreign economic theories from Oxford, Harvard, IMF and World Bank to justify subsidized dollars: that enable the privileged round tripping that subsidized imported refined petrol while sabotaging local refineries that facilitate and encourage foreign foods, used electronics and apparels, junks and toothpicks that encourage Devaluation and Structural Adjustments that no country has ever recovered from When everyone knows that the solution is local production of finished goods however cheap, like China And Intra African Trade! Africans na mumu, ai swear! |
