After reading most of these comments, one would think oyibo do not beat and discipline their children. The only time oyibo raise hell is when foreigners and Blacks discipline their children while they physically abuse theirs. White women would not dare report their men for abuse because they know the consequences. They do not call white men "kill and go" for nothing. Anyone that think the serial killer, an architect, that was discovered recently was so smart to hide all his killing, is a fool. Those who know, know well before the latest killing. |
So out of Bosnia, Palestine, Hausa, Fulani, Yoruba and Igbo, you only see Igbo there? You have multiple problems eating you out. AlexBells: |
Those preaching Gang Up on any ethnic group are wasting their time. It takes self-annihilation or self massacre to wipe one ethnic group away today. It was tried in Bosnia, other people stood up. The case of the Palestine will end but yes, they are suffering daily in the meantime. No group or ethnic can wipe out the Ndi-Igbo but Igbo themselves. Remember, Fulani used Hausa to conquer the Seven Hausa States preaching corruption, not only religion. In the case of Yoruba, they have learned their lessons from Kirigi wars. Yoruba is not just an ethnic group but a religion, movement and they are beyond Africa. You cannot gang up on them. |
Nigerians are hypocrites, pretending as if it does not happen in their neck-of-the-hood in different forms. Some marry their dead brother's wife to care for the family. It is not by force nah, take it or leave it. In Europe they just fornicate with who Africans would not dare. |
Just think about billions Buhari invested in Niger thinking it would be a more peaceful place to retire. Abacha did the same in Switzerland hoping for a peaceful place to retire. So was Mobutu. Africans why do we hate ourselves and our home so much? |
I hope people tag on. Necessity is the mother of invention. Thank God, this is local. |
Nazgul:You will never learn, you waste precious time on japa addicts. Foreign education is evidence of good life for your children eh? Watch as you lose your upbringing, culture and decency while Western world keep theirs and turn you to subcultured animals willing to launder everything you've got abroad for their benefits. Colonialism with a new hue. |
Do people forget that Nigeria had Bar Beach Show for ARMED robbery? Drug is even worse. A country where two of their leading Presidential candidates are known established Drug dealers and the third one a proud chronic looter that campaigned on looting Government companies again. Who elect them? Nigerians! |
If your professors and the professors of your professors did not return home, who would have taught you? |
Anyone trying to inform Redbonesmith with evidence is wasting his time. The guy does not even believe his own evidence: ]To the OP, where's the evidence that Harry Belafonte wanted to run for senate? I'm looking at a newspaper from 1986 where he explicitly said he wasn't going to run!He has been in America for a long time. Yet, he doesn't understand that when someone calls a Press Conference to announce he is not running, it means he has dropped his exploratory possiblity as a candidate. I just ignored him until now, asking for evidence that he does not understand again. |
This confirmed what we already know. The whole country is corrupt. Even politicians present fake certificates all over the country. Many got away with it and not found out until the completion of their term. Overseas convicted criminals returning to Nigeria or those convicted in Nigeria returning to their home towns are welcomed and celebrated as heroes. The only difference here is that a few cultures will never welcome or celebrate a fraud while others dance, celebrate and welcome criminals. This is why Tinubu lost in his home and adopted states. Enough to be proud of. |
Ah Ah Ah. Una don come again. For oyinbo land, na fireplace Dem dey burn am for winter heat because stockfish no get nutritional value. So dis one wan spoil market. No be so una dey cry over importation of used goods like clothes, electronics, pins and pencils. Mind yourself o. |
One side kick married King Charles and became Queen. Another got 100 dollars from the Bunga Bunga king. Good time for side kicks. |
BloomingDale was talking about a dick that can enter any lock. |
I like the man because he is level headed and not ostentatious. But that does not make him a saint. No successful businessman is a saint. It is their degree of corruption that vary and how they plough back their profits. There is no Nigerian head of state, even Central Bank Governor that Dangote did not or does not front for. Any Party In Power! |
Lawani and Oghodua, thank you for your decent discussion. TrossardT: |
One has to wonder how many cultures, apart from the Greeks, have anything close to Ifa. The Bible and the Koran have nothing close to the chapters and verses in Ifa. Yet, some Africans would rather quote and worship Koran and Bible but know nothing in Ifa. What a shame. |
And Bini Oba originated from Ife ![]() Stoplying: |
Yoruba have no territorial ambitions. Other groups voluntarily on their own in and outside Africa identify as/with Yoruba. Most of the accomplishments in the Midwest came as part of the Western Region from the judicious management of Cocoa Income. Indeed, every African living in the Western Region including those from Diaspora relocated to Western Region. Which region or ethnic group, including the Ijaw has benefited from Oil income? |
There is this old disease affecting our Youths and some of our elders as well. Whenever someone is in a fix, delima or some unfavorable position; others rejoice or celebrate the news. In Nigeria, we call it bad bele. This has nothing to do with village witch. We must go back to African empathy. Uncle Ray Charles sang that if you see me in misery, come and sympathize right away |
The money wey small boy first get, na akara he dey take chop. He is still relatively young. Man has to exhaust all his dreams to get satisfaction. Unfortunately, once those dreams are achieved, they become a passee looking for a new adventure to tickle our fancy. No matter, no matter, there is always one or more things money cannot buy. As he gets older, he will be looking forward to a comfortable room, a comfortable bed with one and a half toilets. That is life! |
Every topic should not turn to ethnic war. Until Nigerians learn to get along and stop putting one another down, we will continue to appreciate only junks importation. The settlers around that area are Igbo, Igala mixed with other Nigerians. This is why Ajaokuta Steel mill is built in that area. There is enough credit for Nigerians when you consider that bronze and steel comes from iron used in the oldest Yoruba Arts. So is Terra Cotta. Stop fighting and embrace your innovations. |
I am just trying to figure out the essence of this barbaric act that is too shameful to watch. What is next? Asian mercy killing of young women |
You are right. But most of them were put in the family way by street boys and agbero of those day who fondled them in front of their parents. Others married rich men as house helps and became movie stars. Those men fascinated by light skin also married them. bigiyaro: |
But Ijaw came from Ife and revered Adumu known as Oduduwa as your ancestor. https://www.modernghana.com/news/798752/the-ogiso-of-bini-ijaw-came-from-ile-ife.html |
BloomingDale:Great question BloomingDale. But those Igbo not familiar with Yoruba will seize your point to divide Yoruba. BTW, Bloomingdale does not identify herself as Igbo. |
Much handsome than what people thought |
No matter what Tinubu does, haters will turn it upside down. I never like Tinubu or his character. But I respect his policies in these few days and pray that he succeed for the good of the Country. God works in a mysterious way. We did not expect any good from Tinubu because all our leaders have been disappointing to say the least. If Tinubu continues like this, he has my little widow's mite. Good job! |
Interpret Lagosians or indigenes anyway you want for your convenience, It is a fight between outsiders trying to ramota. Lagos is a very small village and even a small state. They all know one another and define themselves. These your silly arguments to disprove the obvious can only work against outsiders. You will be shown your way out. How successful have you been so far compared to your grandparents who know their place. The harder you try to claim what is not yours, the more you lose. All the goodwill your humble grandparents built have evaporated! |
BloomingDale, You are absolutely right. If enacted verbatim, it will discourage those in good faith, love Lagosians. But I do not think it will. Moderation will prevail. It should have never come to this. BloomingDale: |
BloomingDale/Dewdrop, I am a bit disappointed that it is you that posted this. Gbadamosi, a real Lagosian or not must have a drop of prodigal blood in him. I loved how he challenged Fashola during gubernatorial debate, if that is the same guy. Even non-Lagosians and the Igbo grandfathers that worked hard to create the goodwill Igbo Youths are abusing today are appalled just as real Lagosians at the flagrant hate and impunity of these Igbo Youths in Lagos. Igbo are the most clannish people in Nigeria. The proposed law in Lagos are practiced in every state in Nigeria except Lagos. The fact that it came to this point is understandable. If the American Indians have to do it all over, they would allow Columbus to perish in the sea rather than rescued him. Only a fool sell his land for money with the hope of better trade. At some point, he would lose control of both trade and land. |
