There is no other place Ndi-Igbo are loved or cherished more than in their own Country, from the South to North. Even just before secession of Biafra, which was one of the lowest points in Ndi-Igbo history, more people throughout their Country empathize with them. More youths in the schools were supporting Ojukwu until the war actually started. Unfortunately, many events did overshadow the story of bravery of men and women that took unusual risks on both sides.

These risks, in and outside Biafra enclave never gain enough traction or respect after the war. It has got to a point where all the stories we hear about are those that hate the Igbo and who the Igbo hate. These stories are packaged and re-told over and over again to create more animosity for future generation. There are so many out there, one would think Nigerians never loved one another throughout their history and only married casualties of war to express dominance.

Going back to the East and leaving your loved ones behind was a very difficult and emotional decision for interethnic couples and their children. This was why some Yoruba and Hausa had to follow their families back to the East. Unfortunately, only very few of those confidential families “secret” during the war (were told) dare tell; some are reluctant even today in the East. Those who did are not enough. More of these stories have to come out

Zetra7,

I did not realize you are one of the ignoramus. The days you used to appeal to Yoruba sense of liberal fairness, tolerance and accommodation of others in our political parties, on our land and in our Governments are limited now.

Whose land did you buy with drug money? Check the lease of those you "bought" for 99 years. Your generation cannot inherit it.

Odeson, which citizens call themselves American, Russians or British. So you are very daft. Are you living under a rock?

Never heard of Irish American, Scottish American, Italian American, Polish American? You do not know about Ukraine/Russian war or ever heard of Yugoslavia?

Enough is enough. No more feeding on Yoruba good grace. You are Trojan horse on Yoruba sympathy.

Those who never wish Yoruba well are at it again.

Obasanjo came and brought Igbo out of the dog house since the end of the War. They called him detribilized Nigerian.

Jonathan, a Biafran, came and turn his Government into Igbo and Southsouth Government telling who did not like it to go to blazes. He called Obasanjo that made him, a motor park tout. Jonathan made Dansuki Father Xmas to placard the North.

Remember: our money we spend it anyway we want.

Buhari came and filled all positions with those he trusted and stole more than Abacha because Abacha never stole (enough)!

Tinubu who most Yoruba cannot stand as reflected in Osun and Lagos outsmarted all of us and became the President.

Since day one, you would rather see another Buhari or Jonathan than ANY Yoruba. You prefer a coup than Tinubu. You want Court to make anyone but Yoruba the President.

Tinubu has barely been there for 100 days. You refused him honeymoon period you gave every head of state including military.

This is not about Tinubu or his character that Yoruba disapproved BUT HATE for anything YORUBA.

YORUBA can see through you. This is why they are now supporting Tinubu. Wise people fight fire with fire. The more you hate Yoruba, the more Yoruba used what you hate to fight you.

Politics / Re: Battle Of Otefan 1830: The Battle Where Oyo Defeated Sokoto Caliphate by laiperi: 10:00pm On Sep 13, 2023
Christistruth00:

But that was the War in Which the Alaafin was killed

The Crown prince of Oyo and Eleduwe the Bariba King were also killed in that War

Oshogbo of 1840 and the Jalumi war were the real deal

At the Oshogbo War the Fulani Jihad fled all the Way to Kebbi without Stopping and Oyo People Crossed the Niger and settled in Towns all the Way to Mokwa though the Oyo and Ibadan Army remained at Jebba and didn’t Cross the Niger because they didn’t know what to expect on the other Side

The Fulani Jihad had reached kebbi before stopping because they thought the Ibadan Warriors were still Pershing them

Later on when the Emir of Kontagora started issuing threats the Oyos that gasped settled in Towns and Villages all the way to Mokwa moved back across the River Niger to the Jebba Area for safety

The Fulani quietly smuggled themselves back into Ilorin while the Yorubas was busy beating themselves up in the Kiriji War years later on and still yet the Ibadan Army still managed to inflict the Calamitous defeat of the Jalumi War on Ilorin again while the Ibadan were fighting War on 5 fronts

Aare Ogunmola of Ibadan was something else, fighting Ogedengbe and the Ekiti Parapo on one Side, beating up Ilorin on the Other, fighting Egba and Ijebu on another front at the same time as keeping Ijaye and Dahomey in Check and Ogunmola never lost any War

How did Ogunmola even manage to Sleep?

It could only have been the Grace of God towards the Yoruba it was a near impossible feat

OduduwaR how come i who you accused of being Bororo Fulani is now the one correcting your Yoruba History ?

Politics / Re: What Ojukwu Said About Releasing Awolowo by laiperi: 10:29am On Sep 05, 2023
No matter how Ojukwu lie is debunked, these people are serial liars.

Awo wrote a letter to Ironsi while Ojukwu was governor that he could have been released if he accepted to work with the North like Akintola, but he refused on principle.

One would have thought that anyone that was bent on working with the East rather than the North, would gain his release from prison as Ironsi took over. No, it was to their delight if Awo rot away in prison.

Gowon finally did and released Awo from Federal prison. Ojukwu, like his typical kinsmen rush to claim credit.

Una nor dey taya claim credits for what you did not do or achieve in life but deny every mistake, force and creed you created.

There is no doubt that Dangote is favored by Any Party In Power.

Even when Dangote tried to lower cement price to 1,500 at one point, a dealer in Akure was almost lynched for selling his cement at a lower price.

But Dangote, a chronic capitalist shares his profits with every government in power.

Ibeto could have lowered his cement price and still make profit.

Look at Innoson, why is his cars more expensive than imported cars? He even sells at lower price in other African countries willing to patronize him like Dangote.

Accept that Nigeria is a good place for price gauging because of free money from looters, drug dealers, human parts dealers and their cronies.

Even taking your argument about Oduduwa arguendo, Ile-Ife exited before Oduduwa. Obatala exited before Oduduwa, Ogun existed before Oduduwa and over 201 Orisa.

Unlike those who glorify death penalty as bravery of their desperate Youths worshiping money.

How many time have you guys been educated but refuse to learn the Yoruba fought and took back Ilorin driving the children of Alimi back into Desert

For their obsequiousness, the British rewarded Alimi children by giving them Emirship back; to punish the Yoruba.

Nevertheless, the Fulani remember their Defeat in Osogbo well enough.

Those of you jubilating the handover back to Fulani, when are you going to celebrate your Batallion's defeat at Ore by a handful of ragtag Yoruba hastily assembled soldiers?

Ndi-Igbo must find a battle or a war to win in their History.

After reading most of these comments, one would think oyibo do not beat and discipline their children.

The only time oyibo raise hell is when foreigners and Blacks discipline their children while they physically abuse theirs.

White women would not dare report their men for abuse because they know the consequences.

They do not call white men "kill and go" for nothing.

Anyone that think the serial killer, an architect, that was discovered recently was so smart to hide all his killing, is a fool. Those who know, know well before the latest killing.

So out of Bosnia, Palestine, Hausa, Fulani, Yoruba and Igbo, you only see Igbo there?

You have multiple problems eating you out.

AlexBells:
Why bring the Igbo into your discussion while your opinion is on the Yorubas, you should be the one to tell Tinubu that, there would be no gang up against the Hausa tribe that would materialize; all of you have found a way to bring the Igbo into any discuss to make it more attractive, how good to be Igbo the most advanced Nation in Africa.
Politics / It Is Difficult To Gang Up On An Ethnic Group by laiperi: 2:01pm On Aug 11, 2023
Those preaching Gang Up on any ethnic group are wasting their time.

It takes self-annihilation or self massacre to wipe one ethnic group away today. It was tried in Bosnia, other people stood up.

The case of the Palestine will end but yes, they are suffering daily in the meantime.

No group or ethnic can wipe out the Ndi-Igbo but Igbo themselves. Remember, Fulani used Hausa to conquer the Seven Hausa States preaching corruption, not only religion.

In the case of Yoruba, they have learned their lessons from Kirigi wars. Yoruba is not just an ethnic group but a religion, movement and they are beyond Africa.

You cannot gang up on them.

Anyone trying to inform Redbonesmith with evidence is wasting his time. The guy does not even believe his own evidence:

]To the OP, where's the evidence that Harry Belafonte wanted to run for senate? I'm looking at a newspaper from 1986 where he explicitly said he wasn't going to run!

He has been in America for a long time. Yet, he doesn't understand that when someone calls a Press Conference to announce he is not running, it means he has dropped his exploratory possiblity as a candidate.

I just ignored him until now, asking for evidence that he does not understand again.
Politics / Re: 769 Osun Workers Caught In Certificate Scandal(photos) by laiperi: 4:46pm On Jul 08, 2023
This confirmed what we already know. The whole country is corrupt. Even politicians present fake certificates all over the country. Many got away with it and not found out until the completion of their term.

Overseas convicted criminals returning to Nigeria or those convicted in Nigeria returning to their home towns are welcomed and celebrated as heroes.

The only difference here is that a few cultures will never welcome or celebrate a fraud while others dance, celebrate and welcome criminals.

This is why Tinubu lost in his home and adopted states. Enough to be proud of.

The Bible and the Koran have nothing close to the chapters and verses in Ifa. Yet, some Africans would rather quote and worship Koran and Bible but know nothing in Ifa.
