Do not justify nonsense.

Yoruba culture does not support disciplined. Do not hide behind Yoruba to prove distasteful impunity like other ethnic groups around the world.

slimfit1:
He should be released, because I know if he was a Muslim or Hausa he would have been released. Yoruba people should stand up against this, I am not saying stop the case release him let him go home and fight his case in court.
Look at me thinking Yoruba people are getting brave and fighting for each other, we are actually getting worse.
The men who killed Deborah are walking free doesn't that tell you something about these people and the one Nigeria.

You know that Omo-Alaran is part of the Oriki of some Yoruba. Is Aran or velvet imported or there is a local design or origin like Aso_Oke or beads?
Crime / Re: Maid Arrested For Raping A Small Boy by laiperi: 5:32pm On May 22, 2023
Why it difficult for some people to understand this girl has been abused too. She got the passion for dick sucking from adult male in the same house. She transferred it to the little boy.

Both of them are victims.

Education / Re: Introducing Samuel Maduka University: A Pioneering Entrepreneurial Institution by laiperi: 1:41pm On May 22, 2023
My gut reaction reminds me of Godwin Maduka, a man that gave almost everything to the point where I feared he would lose it all.

Most world universities have at least broken even as Not For Profit.

I have no problem with private schools but many of them pay low wages to staff and charge high fees.

In Nigeria, even with abject poverty, there are enough people who can afford these private universities and highly educated others willing to work for low wages.

Let us wish this Samuel Maduka well.
Career / Re: My Horrible Experience At A Military Event by laiperi: 1:25pm On May 22, 2023
Joining the military has moved from the position of disdain to prestige since a new class of rulers and looters has been created at the top.

If Nigerians are so desperate to join the ruling class, they would do anything including risking their lives at home and abroad for printed money.

Self pride and morals have gone out the window.

Is there anything between Igbo and Yoruba Youths these that is not full of hate?

This is sad.

Just stay out of one another's reach or space before this nasty feelings turn to something else.

It was not how Youths grew up. Hate is infectious.

Crime / Re: Nigerian Man Arrested In Indonesia, Shows Signs Of Mental Illness by laiperi: 1:08pm On May 15, 2023
I am. not sure if he is faking it but the sight is enough to make someone sad.

Nigerians run into distress overseas for many reasons. The harder they work the more stressful it becomes. Pile that on top of demands from home and the false sense of wealth.

Even if they send them back home, who is going to take care of a mad man that used to take of them?

Politics / Lagosians Have Been Vigilant Or Lucky by laiperi: 11:35pm On May 12, 2023
It is surprising that despite the number of people surging into Lagos everyday, without sophisticated detectors like other states and countries, Lagosians are very keen.

Those detected in Ijora and lately threats against the land after taking refuge away from trouble spots, cannot be taken for granted.

God bless the accommodations.

I feel bad for those kids really. Imagine what their mother told them on going to the date and what they witnessed.

If I was around, and I had extra money on me, I would pay the bill just because of those kids. Even if I do not have cash on me, I will pay with credit card.

Just watched the video, that guy is cold blooded. Knowing he was going to take off!

There is something more certainly wrong here.

The lady brought her kids not her friends. Yes, $150.00 may be too much for him. But just once to impress the kids is not such a bad outing.

TerraCotta,

Thank you for your input. Some of those Ijebu claiming Sudan origin also pointed to some Ijebu tribal marks similar to some Sudanese.

I am also mindful of how you explained some Kanuri or around Borno marks similar to Yoruba.

We have so many bogus stories to disclaim their Yoruba culture, even claiming Yoruba got their culture undecided

Hausa are our brothers misled and consumed by foreign religion as some Southerners.

Fulani are something else.

Hausa fight and die for foreign causes like that of Usman Dan Fodio, Boko Haram, Maitamashine and Farouk Umar the underwear bomber in the States. When all he had to do was fight for Talikawa in one of those sumptuous weddings in the North.

This Ndi-Igbo compulsive obsession with Lagos, especially by those who think it is their promised land, has only exposed a deep inferiority complex that is turning to mental problems.

Igbo leaders and reasonable Igbo that have the pride we knew Igbo for need to rise up and come to the rescue.

No need to cover up this abject poverty in the land that was flowing with honey and wara, with your tribalistic instincts.

This is a shame no matter where in Nigeria. There are environmental dumps in major cities and poor people are eating, living and struggling to get out of them.

But then, the oppressors love handing out crumbs out of the "goodness" of their evil hearts.

Culture / Re: Why Does The World makes The Word Bastard looks bad by laiperi: 10:34pm On Apr 29, 2023
Bastard has no meaning in Africa in the European context. A child born by one mother and one father according to culture, Muslim and Christian rights can be a bastard.

All it takes is being a prodigal or behaving in an uncultured manner. He is that boy that point to his ancestors land with a left (wrong) hand.

Foreign words are not exact fit just as translating from one language to another has hiccups.
