By standards, Government institution like DPR is established to regulate and moderate the negative behavioural propensity in the oil marketing.

This organisation in the last two weeks has shown no positive response to high level extortionism being staged by oil marketers, with petroleum products selling at inflated prices.

On Isolo/Palm Avenue road in Mushin alone, two major filling stations (R.A. Petroleum and G&G Petroleum) were reportedly blacklisted days ago by the media for unnecessarily inflicting pains on the public with exorbitant pump prices,yet nothing has since been done by DPR.

So far, these filling stations are currently on their fifth trucks with prices ranging from 200, 150 and 120 naira (current price).

Can somebody instruct DPR to act like a reasonable institution!.

Banks officially providing epileptic services with hospital facilities esperiencing total collapse. The private sector may begin to react with mass retrenchment owing to drastic drop in productivity level.

With oil being a sensitive commodity in this Economy, I would expect the President Elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, to as a matter of necessity and urgency on assuption of office withdraw the certificates issued to all importers and immediately constitute a formidable committee who would solely manage all activities relating to crude exportation,importation of refined products and distribution pending the reform intended in NNPC and repair of existing domestic refineries.

The move made last night by Capital Oil totally proved to Nigerians that Oil cabals are too powerful and could divert the attention of the incoming administration if not strategically checked.

Purely my view. Feel free to add yours and please, be objective on this sensitive national issue.
