Letenwam: A 53-year-old Nigerian woman became a mother for the first time, after she welcomed a baby girl after 20 years of marriage. Facebook user Ogundero Dainty Morenike who shared the story, said her aunt has christened the baby girl 'Victoria'. She wrote;
My very big aunt gave birth at 53 after 20 years of marriage.. This God is too much o.... She's named "Victoria". May God bless the waiting wombs in Jesus name. Amen.
https://lailasnews.com/53-year-old-nigerian-woman-welcomes-a-baby-after-20-years-of-marriage/ Good news but I dont really believe most of this story. A Nigerian woman living in USA told her hubby that she was pregnant but she was having the feeling that she might miscarried it. She told her hubby that she needs to go to Nigeria so her parent can take care of her. She later gave birth to twins here in Nigeria. Big celebration! They took the kids to US embassy in Lagos to get travel docs for the kids (hubby is US citizen while the woman is a permanent resident), guess what, it was discovered that the kids doesn't belong to the couple. The woman bought the kids. It was a big case because the embassy involved Nigerian police. You can google it to read more about the story |

Business › Re: Benefits Of Registering Your Company With The Corporate Affairs Commission by Lamide123: 4:22am On Jul 04, 2018 |
companyregagent: BENEFITS OF REGISTERING YOUR BUSINESS WITH THE CORPORATE AFFAIRS COMMISSION
Anyone can decide one day to start operating a business. All that person has to do is provide a product or service to another person in exchange for money or money’s worth to be "in business." While registering your business with the ” Corporate Affairs Commission” (CAC) isn't necessarily required to complete certain business transactions, it is a smart choice for new and existing entrepreneurs for a variety of reasons which includes:
1.Opening Business Bank Accounts You need to provide proof that your business is properly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) to open a business bank account in Nigeria. A business bank account is an important asset to a small business because you can separate your personal activities from your business activities. It is also more professional to give your clients / customers a business account details that carries your business name for payment instead of your own full name.
2.Safeguarding Your Business / Corporate Name One huge advantage of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) is safeguarding your business name from being used by another person / business. No one else can register a business with that same name or a similar name.
3. Legal Liability Protection Another benefit of registration is receiving some legal liability protection ( note that a private company limited by share has a legal personality distinct from that of its subscribers). If you register or incorporate your business, you will not be held personally responsible for certain accidents and other liabilities incurred by the registered company. Thus, you may find it easier to attract investors, since they will know you are not personally responsible for the company’s well-being.
4.Getting Loans When you apply for business loans, you're going to have to prove that you're actually a business. Banks and investors will ask to see your business registration certificate along with other application requirements before approving you for a loan.
5.Reputation With Customers Customers and clients, especially people you've never worked with before, need assurance that you are a legitimate business. A potential client may suspect your business of being a "fly-by-night" operation if your company isn't properly registered. When a business is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission ( CAC), it could put your clients at ease when making a decision about whether to spend money with / transact business with your company.
6.Supplier Arrangements / Government Contracts A registered business also makes you eligible to receive supplier discounts that you wouldn't normally receive as an unregistered business entity. Suppliers usually reserve special rates for business owners who can show official evidence of business name or company registration (certificate of incorporation) issued by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) . Also, if your plan is to be getting government contracts for your company, a business registration is one of the first requirements.
7. Perpetual Succession / Continuity A final benefit of registration is the business continuing even if you die or become ill. A registered business is an entity in its own right; thus, another can assume ownership or control or your business can be sold. Neither are possible without registration.
Contact us and let us help you through the process of registering your company (ltd) / business names (enterprises / ventures). The following rates apply for our services : Registration of business names (#23,500) Incorporation of Limited liability Company "LTD" (#65,000), Incorporation of Trustees i.e. NGO's, Associations, and Churches (#150,000) for more information call or whatsapp, Olaleye on 09029075974 or Email : companyregagent@gmail.com I need an information from you guys. NwaAmaikpe:

Willie Willie went to the USA on a visitor's visa though the news that made the rounds back then in Achara Layout was that he got a visa lottery.
He luckily got a sponsor and later changed his status to a resident.
Well... How he got his money?
Uchemba grew up in the showbiz world which is centered on make-belief. So unless, he won some money overnight on BetNaija, this is what is known in show business as Special effects..
He already knows that this is the only way to gain relevance in Nigeria; a land full of pauperized and frustrated souls ready to worship anyone they consider is living the dream.
He left Nollywood as a nobody who was given money during film-shoots to buy okpa, he was errand boy to Sandra Achums, Pat Attah, Emeka Like, Benita Nzeribe and late Sam Loco, Dude vowed to reannounce himself with a bang in Nigeria, now he attracts the attention of Jim Iyke and the Okoye brothers; people who once considered him a degenerate.
MORAL Time does not only change everything, repackaging yourself is key. Anyone can buy a house in US. You pay for it monthly for period of 30 years |

Celebrities › Re: Liz Anjorin: Why I Dumped Christianity And Embraced Islam by Lamide123: 6:53pm On Jan 10, 2018 |
dammy13: Nollywood actress and business woman Liz Anjorin has finally revealed one of her biggest secrets concerning her faith and belief.
The beautiful filmmaker who used to be known as a Christian, suddenly shifted from being a believer to a Moslem about five years ago raising speculations that a man made her change her faith and religion.
Although She refuted the claims that she was dumping Christianity for a man, she never really revealed the real reasons behind her huge decision.
However, the actress has now taken to her Instagram page to reveal her reasons for the religious interchange.
According to her, her mother was born into a Muslim home but married Christian, however when poverty struck and they became homeless, they sought refuge in churches, sleeping in different churches at night and automatically, they be smelling believers.
“When my mom died, more than ten churches rejected her corpse for burial” the actress said. Despite her desperation and sorrow and the looming nationwide strike ahead, plus her mother’s instructions, she couldn’t find a church to help her.
The actress however found one, but there were ‘things’ involved which she didn’t share.
“Through it all, it was the faith I rejected that stood by me, prayed for my mom’s corpse, performed only the necessary rites while the church only gave us burial space after much fuss”
After this, the actress pledged to go to Hajj and she’s been a Moslem ever since contrary to claims that a man changed her heart and faith.

Travel › Re: Time To Rethinks This Travelling Abroad Thing by Lamide123: 1:41am On Dec 19, 2017 |
ken4jj: This is a long write up but it is very good to read for people who always compare Nigeria to the western countries
The problem with Nigeria is our mentality. An average Nigerian is all about money, money, houses, SUV etc and this is why this question is always coming up. Because of our greed and our ability to acquire, acquire and acquire, our society have been built on storing money, properties. It is not surprising to see Nigerians in Nigeria with fat bank account, many houses with high fence and big gate, high SUV yet the street they live is littered with bad roads and full of generator noise because that is what we care about.
The western world is different because they are not built for people to store money. Their system is designed for money to circulate. This is why even services we pay peanuts for here is Nigeria is costly abroad. Everyone is given the opportunity to live a base life and if you want to be rich you can use your brain and do something extraordinary. For example, a barber, cleaner, nanny etc in the western world has the opportunity to live a normal life. He can save a little money, make a little down payment and buy a house or car on mortgage despite being just a barber. He gets to enjoy his tokunbo car and 2 bedroom apartment even though he is paying for it in the next 10 years. Even if he dies before he finish paying, he cannot say that he didn’t enjoy the basic things of life. Enjoying the basic things of life is not left for the rich alone. In Nigeria, some people can never enjoy the basic things of life forever. For example, a cleaner, nanny etc can never buy a car because Nigeria is designed for the rich to exploit the poor and there is no buffer to help the poor.
A top bank manager earning more than 1 million naira a month cannot bring out 50k to pay a Nanny or gateman. Instead he will go and bring one Ekaite from the village whom he will exploit as slave. Ekaite will do all the jobs in the house and will not even go to school for the first 3 years. After 3 years, they will now send her to a local school where children sit on the floor even though their own children are going to posh schools. During Christmas, they give Ekaite’s family a bag of rice and 20k and the family is happy due to poverty. But this same man store millions of naira in his account and building lots of houses yet his gateman is just paid 10k a month. In the western world, the bank manager will have over 60% of his earnings go into the payment of other services. That means he will pay the Nanny, guards, gardeners, cleaners, barber etc that works for him an hourly minimum wage. So he has little money to save and build mansions here and there but the good thing is that the people in the lower cadre live a normal life off him and the money circulates.
The Nigerian society is built for exploitation unlike the western world. The greatest disservice to poor man in Nigeria is that they are not paid hourly. The rich man/organizations takes all their time and pay them pea nut at the end of the month but a poor man aboard can work 24 hours and be paid for those 24 hours if he has the strength.
So before you travel, you need to understand how the western society works and what exactly you want. If your aim is to make millions and become rich, build houses here and there, the western society is not for you, you can become rich easier in Nigeria. It is only in Nigeria, you can become rich overnight. You can go to china, import some substandard goods into the country, bribe SON and customs and sell your goods and make mega millions in a jiffy and build your mansions here and there. If you run a business, you can avoid paying taxes, just tip the FIRS and they would look the other way and you take those taxes you should have paid and build mansions for yourself, you are rich! The FIRS,Custom, SON guys make mega money and build their own mansions, you make your own mega money too, the ordinary people and the government are shortchanged but the govt is not bothered because they loot their own from crude oil directly. In fact, Nigeria is a goldmine if you have the mind and can throw away your conscience. Dem no born you well to not pay your taxes in the western world or do anyhow in the western world.
If you work in many organizations, you may not have to touch your salary because you will be getting illegal cash every day. For example, if you work in immigration, you will be getting 3k, 4k from people who want to get their passport else they may have to wait for one year to get it. If you work in universities, you will be getting extra 3k, 4k, 2k from people who wants their transcripts else they will look for your results for the next one year and so many examples. If you add up this monies, you can see that you are getting more than your salary from your little office. No wonder these civil servants you see have a lot of money. This is what you can never get abroad.
So you can see that it is easy to make it in Nigeria but it comes at a cost. A country where nothing works. No light, no water, bad roads, bad schools, hospitals, insecurity etc. There is no fine house in Nigeria that does not have a high fence and a big gate. In the western world, you would hardly see a fenced house because the police is 2 minutes away from your phone call.
So our mentality is different from the western world. While the western world cares more about the larger society, we care about our individual self and individual wealth and this is why we are richer individually than them but they are richer and better collectively as a society than us. The question you should ask before you travel is what you value more as an individual. True talk only those who have heads will understand this |

justwise: Your friends are living beyond their means especially the one in Ireland. That €21000 is a gross salary after taxs he will be left with €1900 plus, so why renting a house worth almost €900 a month? 21000/year that is 1750 euro per month. After all deductions his take home might be around 1450. It is a big money in Nigeria, one cannot survive with this in Ireland even if you live in a shared apartment. Remember your family back home will be expecting something too |
