Same pace? You must be joking, it was nowhere mentioned in the writeup

I maintain my stance that Bayern is overrated, they created no clear cut scoring chance in the first half despite dominating the possession and if not for a wasteful Mason Mount they would have been 2:0 down in the first half

I wonder what their defense of Boateng would do if they meet a striker that can actually score
the way some of us talk on this thread ehn, i begin to wonder if we watched the same match

3 shots on target
3 big chances missed in the first half alone
1 shot at bar

But this oga here is telling us they didn't create any "clear cut" chances. I wonder what the meaning of clear cut chances now is

If Bernardo Silva comes we would have the heir to Iniesta's throne not Coutinho that isn't even starting in Bayern again. B. Silva is a work horse and can play very well in CM or at the wing and he can dribble too and won't have issues playing with Messi that's if he operates from the right not the left. B. Silva will gel extremely well in Barca, he can play possession, counter and when it's time to get down and dirty he will do so with relish for someone his size. He will do well IF we get him.

Espanyol supporter arrested for racist abuse towards Adama Traore

An Espanyol supporter was arrested for racially abusing Adama Traore during the Europa League clash with Wolves on Thursday.

The fan was removed from the stands and proceeded to police custody for alleged monkey chants aimed at the former Barcelona winger.

'We've arrested a 24-year-old man from Spain on suspicion of racially aggravated abuse following chanting at the Wolves v Espanyol match yesterday," read a statement from the West Midlands police.

"He remains in police custody for questioning.

"Any form of discrimination is unacceptable and will not be tolerated," it added.
These kinds will definitely reduce, maybe not totally eliminate, but to an extent reduce Racist chants

Neymar was asked to name his top five players in the world and included two of his former Barcelona teammates.

Leo Messi and Luis Suarez were followed by current PSG strike-partner Kylian Mbappe, while Paul Pogba and Eden Hazard completed the list. There was no room for any of his Brazilian colleagues, nor Cristiano Ronaldo.

Neymar added that he would have wished to have played alongside Romario, Zinedine Zidane and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, as well as Ronaldo Nazario, although he did play in the latter's testimonial.

Setien's bad luck since becoming Barcelona boss

Quique Setien has seen his squad lose six players to injury since taking charge at Barcelona, with Sergi Roberto the latest to pick up a knock.

This is why Setien has opted to take five Barcelona B players to Italy for their Champions League last-16 tie against Napoli on Tuesday night, in addition to Ansu Fati, who has been in and around the first team since the start of the season.

While he was negotiating with Barcelona, Setien received his first blow: Luis Suarez would undergo surgery and what was expected to be a month and a half absence turned into four months, which practically means he's ruled out for the rest of the campaign.

Just a few days into his new role as head coach, there was further bad news as Neto was ruled out for three weeks with a strain, although this wasn't an issue as Marc-Andre ter Stegen was healthy.

Shortly afterwards, a concussion caused Arturo Vidal to miss the match against Levante.

The second major blow came with Ousmane Dembele as the Frenchman had ruptured the proximal tendon in his right femoral biceps, an injury that has seen him wave goodbye to the 2019/20 season.

Setien was confident that Dembele would come back from his previous injury and be an important player for him, but this fresh injury came at the worst possible time in that regard.

Also, with Dembele falling injured, it further dwindled down Setien's options in attack due to Suarez's absence as well.

In the last two games, there have been another two casualties.

Jordi Alba has again suffered problems in his adductor and will be unable to face Napoli or Real Madrid, with this being the third time he's picked up an injury this season, and it is unclear when he will return.

Finally, on Sunday it was revealed that Sergi Roberto will be out for three to four weeks.

The Catalan had become a vital player for Setien due to his versatility, with Sergi Roberto able to play at right-back, centre-back, central midfield and at right wing.

Rakitic is an integral part of our midfield, whether fans like it or not. I prefer FDJ, Arthur and Rakitic but Busquets is showing how awesome he is again and so is Vidal. But I think Rakitic will start today but if he doesn't, he will start against Madrid
bros, Rakitic is surplus to Barca now. Even Vidal has played more games than the according to you, "integral part of our midfield" player.

He's a bench player now who even Roberto and Vidal have played more league games than. Rakitic is currently our last midfielder in the pecking order

Thing is sef, the player might have been rightly guessed, but the goal is to not make it public yet, so Tbaba would prolly say, "he's not the one"

we know how this switch of allegiance thing can get messy and disgracing. So, lets really forget about letting the cat out of the bag. The lower the attention giving to the player, the likelier the switch would happen.

Just one question Tbaba, in your opinion, is the guy worth our team? is he an upgrade to what we have?

Firmino is an attacking midfielder playing as a striker

If Firmino na real number 9, I think he will be selfish
you get time sef.

the primary job of a striker is to score goals, not play for the team. Everybody has their job on the pitch. A 9 scores goals, not assist. The midfeilders are the one's whose job is to assist. that Bobby relinquishes that part of his job doesn't make him a role model for strikers.

Heck, you won't see any striker aspiring to be like Firminho, because he doesn't do his job. How can wingers be persistently outscoring you and you're claiming to be a striker....

I even gave u an easy question and u failed. Till he dies Immobile will not be better than Ronaldo.
Immobile is not better than Ronaldo. will probably not even lace his boots. But like i said in my reply then, this season so far?

unless you're being sentimental is when you'd pick Ronaldo ahead of Immobile. Or perhaps, you're using your perception of Ronaldo against perception of Immobile.

Immobile has a 77 goal per minute ratio as against Ronaldo's 88
Immobile has 26 goals this season as against Ronaldo's 20
Immobile has 1.08 goal per game ratio as against Ronaldo's 1.00
Immobile has 29 goals in all competitions this season as against Ronaldo's 24

Oga sir, if both of them are relatively unknowm players, there's no way you'd pick Ronaldo ahead of Immobile lai lai. Like i said, you're using Ronaldo's potential to compare Immobile, and we all know, that's a fight of elephant and an ant. immobile will never be as good as Ronaldo, doesn't mean Immobile has not been better than Ronaldo this season.

I ask you again, if these were stats of 2 unknown players, who would you pick? undecided

Official: Barcelona sign Martin Braithwaite

Martin Braithwaite has completed his move to Barcelona after the Catalan club paid the Danish forward's 18 million euro release clause to Leganes.

Braithwaite has penned a contract that will last until June 30, 2024, while his new release clause will be 300 million euros.

Following weeks of failed pursuits, Barcelona have finally brought in a forward to cover the injuries to Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele, as well as the departure of Carles Perez.

In January, Barcelona rejected the idea of bringing in a striker, but the injury to Dembele forced their hand.

LaLiga gave the club permission to sign a replacement for Dembele outside of the transfer window on Monday, once it was confirmed that the Frenchman will miss the six months of action.

Willian Jose was Barcelona's top target, yet they could not reach an agreement with Real Sociedad.

Then there was Angel Rodriguez, with Barcelona having struck a pre-agreement with Getafe for his arrival, but critical voices at the Camp Nou about his age - he's 32 - led to the Blaugrana looking elsewhere.

Finally, Braithwaite is the man Barcelona have been able to bring to the club. The 28-year-old has played in 27 games across LaLiga Santander and the Copa del Rey for Leganes this season, scoring a total of eight goals.

Braithwaite is versatile, a characteristic that has been key for Quique Setien's Barcelona: he can play as a central striker, as an attacking midfielder or as a left winger.

This versatility is what caused Setien to push for Braithwaite's arrival.

The forward has a lot of experience, having also played in Denmark, France and England.
