Gurus in the house. I have a question. I have about 1mill units of Transcorp and UBACAP. I am contemplating offloading this stocks this Monday before profit taking begins. I really do not need the money but I hate seeing previous appreciations go down the drain. For example I bought 100K units of Oando at N14+. When it was at N19+ I was thinking of selling but i didn't sell until my gain became loss and I had to sell at N12. I have lost money on some stocks this year e.g C&I Leasing, Oando, Japaul, AIICO, Prestige Insurance. This recent marginal gain in Transcorp is taking me towards break even this year. I don't wanna lose it in the name of profit taking. In think the price appreciation in transcorp is due to handover of Ughelli power station to transcorp by the FG and nothing more. I guess sometime soon it will retrace. But i have the feeling that the stock will do well in the long run. Make una advice please. Anyone knows the future of UBACAP.
@ Mr odu I am waiting for the GURUS in the house as well to anwer your questions , i had the same experience with OANDO as well, I decided to sell more than half of my UBACAP to take the profit cos i hate seeing it going back to losses again . ALSO i was able to buy more TRANSCORP last week cos like you said i have a feeling too it will do well in future I have friends that bought Transcorp at 7.50k and 9.34k during IPO ERA , lets hope it will do well in future . HAPPY INVESTING |

Elai147: I also do not think there is something wrong but I don't understand why it refuses to go above N20. We used to see first bank and zenith bank rubbing shoulders when it comes to price appreciation but now e be like say Zenith don run leave first bank holdings. Since it became First Bank Holdings, it has been struggling. I think the price will still fall anyway. I will wait a bit then start accumulating more.Well lets hope so , think it gained today |
Thanks very much , am loading as much as i can Nothing is wrong with Firstbank, in fact the more you can amass pls do. Judging from its first quarter result, the elephant may pay an interim dividend after second quarter, to appease investors who were not too happy with the last div payout. with the elephant anything is possible. On price movement expect between N2-N3 eps within 2 months
|
lancee: Please let us know whats wrong with FIRST BANK .. to me i think there is nothing wrongThank u very much , Am loading as much as i can |
