There’s consideration for d disabled in d new airport. Nice one

What is happening in Onitsha? The whole of Onitsha roads are blocked. No coming in no going out. Tankers have blocked the whole road alleging that “obiano boys” assaulted their colleague. I don’t know if death was involved. This is very bad...the days activities will be crippled if the Governor doesn’t act fast and call warring parties to order. What nonsense is this in Anambra state..shit! |

Hmm...the way rent is shooting up ehnn in Awka is something else. Especially shop rent. A tiny shop wic is not even up to how many ceilings be going for 200k then the crazy agents fee whic some of these wicked agents charge. How can u be charging 50-80% for agents fee..who taught our pple this kind of greed? I took someone along zik Avenue to see a shop which she was called to come check...not so big a b going 4 600k and must be 4 2yrs...haha The purchasing power is still low as compared to Onitsha biz...so why shoot rent prices so high? Our pple should take it easy with the yearn 4 money. These are issues that make most of our pple to migrate far from home. The love and greed for money is too much by those outletting. Govt should kindly look into these issues For agency fee...it should be 10-15% of the rent....simple. How can someone be renting a shop of 300k paying 4 2yrs and agency fee be going as high as 150-200k. Na wa o |
see what some of us are saying; dislodge these illegal shanties and clear these roads. Same should go for ekeawka..those bus drivers and keke doing illegal stop 4 passengers causing traffic should also be arrested let sanity return to the state capital. The capital isn't that big but has annoying gridlocks
|
mktinsight:I learned from someone today that theres a proposed plan to relocate the market to Isiagu,.and that there's already a market construction there. He also said that he went to inquire about shops there,he was told to pick a form and the money they called for shop there enter million. I said what!..if this is actually TRUE...the Governor,i trust Willy, needs to look into it. |
Grgton:Are u sure? A research was carried out by a body and published in the news..report has it that IMO state ranked 5th amongst states with good roads. Anambra 4th position, Abia 3rd, Enugu 2nd and the Ebonyi 1st. |
OreMI22:Hahaha u pple have turned it to a cartoon? So mtkinsight is the owl? You pple are funny |
The next governor of Anambra state should brace up o..there are a lot of challenges ahead. To those aspirants thinking the role of Anambra State Governor seat is gonna be a walk in d park should better change their mindset and begin to think of more developmental strides for the state...such a person will have to continue from where Willy stopped. Our problem currently is our state capital. The state capital needs a face lift honestly..and that will have to begin from the ROADS. The roads in d state capital needs to be looked into seriously..driving from Ekeawka this evening was such a difficult and tiring drive...the hold up around there eehhn..especially if u are driving from that court road axis down to Ekeawka na war...those market hawkers have taken over half of the roads displaying their wares around..the visible traffic light stand is not even adhered to by motorists. The traffic wardens all were even looking helpless today... KEKE RIDERS too are a major menance on that tiny road causing heavy gridlock..I spent close 2 40mins on that road because of the keke riders. Those riders too are so so impatient, everyone seems to be rushing, buses hanging around the gridlock picking up passengers and worsening the situation. Which way Anambra? The next governor would also have to limit the keke riders from plying major roads in d capital as seen in most cities. Keke should be hanging around juctions leading to inner/residential streets not on major roads and causing gridlock. The number of keke-s in our state capital seems to even be more than the inhabitants of the capital. They are so many. Other adjoining roads needs to be fixed...those going to inner towns/villages not too close to Awka should be able to use alternative routes provided. You see commercial and privates vehicles hustling to drive past streets with tiny roads especially now that some major roads are blocked because of the security situation. Which way Anambra? Lastly, Ekeawka market needs to be replanned. So much chaos and gridlock causing axis. We need better roads! Roads should be upgraded..alternative routes repaired and maintained..more pple are relocating back home and the infrastructures seems not to be enough 4 d teeming populace. The next governor should prepare because there's so much work ahead. |
Sorry i forgot to take pics of the Enugwu ukwu road that leads to the express. The road is smooth and beautiful to drive on. Due to that we almost forgot about d worries of life on that road . Ụzo atọka nu biko...whosoever constructed that road did a fine job.I will post pics when next i bump into that road |
More pics of the diilapidated Abagana road from the Onitsha express way that requires urgent attention and can help ease movt coming from the capital etc Willy is trying but he needs to help us fix the road to ease traffic just as the Enugwu Ukwu road was fixed and so sweet to drive on
|
This thread is still as funny as when i left it . Some of u here are very funny,,who is an owl that was casted by Mbaka at the airport? OMG! ![]() Una welldone o. Its not easy. God continue to bless Willy Willy. I passed through the new and beautifully constructed Enugwu ukwu road from the express..such a solid road. Was tgat construction carried out by FGN or the state? They tried. At least those roads are helping to reduce traffic in Awka now that some places are blocked. But the other road from tge express which is tge abagana road needs a lot of work pls. I am cslling on those in charge to send a message to the governor...that road needs serious maintenance. Erosion is gradually creeping in and also the road has been turnes to a serious refuse dump site...very dirty and stinks. Pics attached. Pls urgent attention is needed on that road Abagana road cut that leads to the onitsha express way. If these few adjoining roads can be upgraded to look like that of the Enugwu ukwu road cut from the express..believe u me traffic congestion will reduce especially during the yuletide seasons. This is a very funny thread honestly. Why do we have persons replying themselves in disguise? What do u set to achieve doing that?
|
@Rockvibes234 i dont get. Why are pple countering your pics? Is something amiss here? Are these truly the recent picture of d airport? What's d fuss about these pictures...even in d WhatsApp group one of d admin is countering d pic, typing it's not d true state of the terminal building that d pics look false. Confusion everywhere

Small boy Kukah of yester years who grew up with his grand ma in a village in Southern Kaduna was well captured in Karl Maier's book 'This House has Fallen'. Read that book guys Congratulations |
Sistergal80:Nice one Sir |
somebody should tell Iyom to come finish her abandoned project. This is embarrassing and she wants to contest in d Governorship elections ![]()
|
But with fall of d much talked about Tinapa Biz Resort of d early 2000s and d poorly maintained Obudu Cattle ranch what else makes Calabar airport d busiest now? Okay i remember it's most busiest during the carnival period. And i am sure with the cancelation of last year's carnival its airport rating dropped drastically. Also with businesses packing up in that state..i think a lot more will be affected. I stand 2 b corrected. ----_---------_------_-------_--------_-------_---------_------- Observation: Are we experiencing a population boom in Anambra presently? It seems d present population of d state has quadrupled. Our pple are beginning to march home. If that's d case our govt needs 2 hasten up with so many infrastructural development hence d few will be outstripped. Who else feels same abt d population? |
Lol...Okay o d owners of d thread said some of u can have a "say" on the thread but reserve some "say" 4 ur state' ![]() Don't we have some funny peeps on this thread. Make una no kill person here with laff abeg
|
Mktinsight I honestly like d manner in which u point out your observations without cussing anyone. Keep it up. Also could u also do those viewing this thread daily a favour by attaching whatever proofs u have to validate your argument. If u say so & so govt project carried out in road A is substandard or the materials used in constructing d stadium are of very low standards or d Airport is a white elephant project or too small 2 be a passenger airport...fine! We would also luv u to back it up with clear facts/recent pics of your claim including a recent inspection tour carried out by yourself. Any misgivings about projects carried out in d state should be backed by fact, figures and possibly recent pics. Then i think one who resides in a particular state and not an indigene can also make an input on issues concerning where he/she lives legally, ,,possibly even one from same region can do that...or are indigenes of a state be the only persons to discuss about issues concerning their state? If yes, then where's d democracy we say we practice? Yes,one will say this an Anambra thread but does it mean only Anambrarians can shook mouth in this thread? Personally,As a true daughter of d soil i find no qualm in someone who isn't an Anambrarian discussing issues/dev happening in my state...evidence/facts/figures should be my tools of winning any discussions. Ka Chineke mezie okwu

Really some of u here need to learn how to engage in a discussion like intellectuals. Even if not one at least pretend 2 be one. Why so testy all d time? This means some of u will throw ur critics straight into dungeon if u happen 2 be on d seat of leadership some day. Wahala dey! |
Tis guy was merely alluding 2 a school of thought...not his words. Though some school of thoughts can be traced to a gathering of an evening beer parlor attendees with d sole aim of causing chaos and conflict so therefore shouldn't be taken with a pinch of salt Nevertheless, that talk shouldn't have been regurgitated in your trip broadcast...it's already pinching nerves. ---------_---------_-----------_----------_----------_------ "...Our thoughts also have the ability to lead us into fear, pain, regret, self-doubt — broadly, the pits — on a whim" |
ChimaAdeoye:Finally! Some pictures..more pls
|
Winning online arguments is not by cussing and slitting each others throats here...u win arguments by providing facts,figures..real pictures to back up ur argument. The real war will be when u go bring fake false pictures and you get busted. Pple view this thread everyday..most importantly intellectuals
|
Our drivers drive like who lion dey chase 4 jungle. I mean what's with d speed fgs?! And i wonder why most roads are without speed bumps. At least if pedestrian walk over can't be built everywhere road bumps should be put in place for some crazy drivers that can't drive like humans. The major road from Abagana that leads to umudunu, oya agu etc ...especially from St Marks-EnuguAgidi junction where we have d fuel station is another crazy road where u see these crazy drivers exhibiting the wild animal in them. Our drivers should be cautioned or is it d Onitsha drivers? Those ones smoke something else. Traffic lights are very important 4 a big commercial city and in d state as a whole. --------_---------_------------_----------_----------_ Lastly, those of u taking pictures of projects should try taking them with timestamps to avoid fighting dirty with doubting Thomases. You can download timestamp camera from g.store. |
It's not 2 come here and be throwing insults up and down..if u have substantial evidence to back up ur points/arguments do that..after all there's a file space 4 photo attachments. If u say d roads are bad...bring up pics of these roads with a name tag on it 4 verification. If u say the roads are wonderful and d best can we have pics pls. All these arguments like roadside okpa sellers aint necessary. ------_------------_------------_--------------_----------- A message 2 EEDC..my hometown Abagana feels like we've been cut off from d state's power supply..my few weeks in there felt like hell. We could hardly boast of 3hrs power supply each day...some days we're left in total darkness. It has been like this 4 d past three years in my community. I'm complaining bitterly cause d situation keeps deteriorating every passing day despite bills being paid. Pls d authorities responsible should do much more better than this. |
To further buttress my point this is(pic1 below) what we should be seeing in our cities especially Onitsha which is one of d leading commercial city in Night..as well in Awka the seat of governance. And our leaders should learn to travel/visit states that are doing fine to ask questions, borrow innovative ideas on how they run most of their cities seen as d best. Can our leaders perform diligently so as to give us bragging rights...in d league of other performing states. A particular state in d SE has most its indigenes cussing and bickering being an indigene of that state..sometimes they wished their Past and present governors performed/performing better. Also in reference 2 d pic2 below...can y'all see d way the whole road is completely tarred plus including a pedestrian walk lane...viola! That's how we should have our roads in Anambra so as to ward off d red sand signature which usually covers d road and makes it look somehow.. pls. Anambra needs a green environment too..can we go green for our dear state. The govt should look into this. We need green trees in state capital as well as in Onitsha metro..in d streets as well. Pic3 looks beautiful..doesn't it? That's a pic from another state..so beautiful. We need 2 reduce d signature 'red sand' we are known for 2 d barest minimum...for a beautiful and cleaner Anambra. I just wish authorities concerned read this thread. Our governor is trying but more hands needs be on deck for a better Anambra.
|
Lastly, what's d state of our state's water board? Can't we have a city water reservoir that can take care of Awka and Onitsha Metropolis. Can our govt revive our state's water board agency? Pple should be stressing to get water or moving from one mile 2 another to get water. Can we have water taps running through our homes in 2021? Can something be done about it? |
On d issues of indiscriminate dumping of refuse in our state's metropolis...the situation is quite appalling,,i think the commissioner 4 works or so should look critically on how we can revive d state's waste disposal. These things ain't rocket science...with d high population density of Onitsha and d state as a whole,Anambra state should be able to cater 4 d populace in terms of waste clearance and disposal...what happens 2 d tax collected from landlords, shop owners, market sellers etc? A part of Those taxes and levies should be able to pay workers in d waste disposal and make them responsible 4 keeping our cities neat. Though d situation of Onitsha has abated a bit..i still remember flying dirty gutters, stepping on dead animals, excreta, piles of rubbish as a teen in the early 2000s after landing in Onitsha lol..i think Onitsha and Lagos were competing in terms of city dirts then. But we dont want Onitsha going back 2 that era anymore. Those responsible should do d needful. Not only Onitsha even Awka. A dumpsite should be provided 4 wastes, waste trolleys, waste dumping points should be provided as we see in other beautiful cities...pple should be made to go dump their trash at those points, which will be collected every 1/2wks, waste trucks should be provided..our own IVM can help with d supply of this na. We should be able 2 manage our cities 4 future possible investments. Governance aint rocket science...is it?

AlaIgboRepublic:Lol...same video i watched? Or u didnt even watch at all. The stadium is still very much under construction na. You sef...whats in a stadium without spectators seats? Hope u aint a bush person o? ![]() U expect pple 2 sit their ass on that hard pavement or what...na wa 4 u o Some of u here are so hilarious
|
From my forensic observation MKtinsight isn't OgbajiIfeanyi on twitter. Abeg those two are two different persons. Then back 2 d matter...i would appreciate if y'all(those on d opposing and proposing sides) give ur points/arguments without cussing...it distorts our reading Thank you I pray d airport's construction is handled and finished in due time so that Willie will focus on our roads. I think an alternative route should be provided from around Eke Awka axis,,,i stand 2 be corrected. Last Christmas was hell around the market area...keke here and there, shuttles, buses all held in d gridlock. So many buyers and sellers hanging on d tiny road. My experience on d 24th wasnt so good. The traffic from Enugwu uku down 2 Abagana was another hell biko. Also what's been done 2 d Enugwu agidi road lying in waste now turned a dump site? Our roads needs serious works...and if roads must be constructed or repaired, it should be done in its totality not tarring d main side of d road and leaving the 'red sand' portion untarred too. In fact, that portion should have a pavement known as pedestrian walk side and it should be completely tarred. Let's be trying to do away with d red sand signature on our roads...it makes d state looks dirty and dusty. Honestly speaking I'm enjoying this thread God bless Willie Obiano.. God bless Anambra State God bless d SE region
|
But constructive criticism should be tolerated here without trading insults. The airport construction is already in public eye and don't expect pple not to criticise in which ever way they deem fit. For me const-criticisms are welcomed cause that's d only thing that keeps those we elected on their toes in Nigeria. Y'all easy with d cussing here even though some of it cracks me up. Let me go back 2 @OgbajiIfeanyi's wall on twitter 2 continue reading tweets and opinions. |
. Ụzo atọka nu biko...whosoever constructed that road did a fine job.
